Customer Reviews Merrell Sundial Cross

I am a big fan of Merrill shoes and sandals. They are one of the few brands I can usually count on to give me perfect comfort and support and they don't look like orthopedic shoes. I have high arches, somewhat narrow feet, and I like a little heel cup as well. My feet hurt a lot without good arch supports. I was very excited to see a somewhat more feminine sandal with a bit of a heel from my favorite shoe maker. I'm disappointed in the comfort. It has no arch support that I can detect, and the foot bed feels a bit hard to my foot. I'm wearing my other Merrell sandals into the ground, they feel so good. I prefer wearing them to walking barefoot. But these lack the important Merrell characteristics. Another thing about the comfort - the style holds your four smaller toes together, which feels a bit strange, and the straps are not soft, so they dig into the sensitive skin between my toes feeling a bit sharp. I'm hoping with more wear they will break in, but none of my other Merrells have ever needed breaking in. I HOPE Merrell keeps trying; I would LOVE a pretty sandal with a little heel that felt like my other Merrell sandals!

The bronze color is as beautiful in person as it is online. Had to return them, though, because the toe-pieces rubbed painfully against my toes.
