Comfortable and grippy water shoe. Drains extremely well, and can also be easily used out of water as well. Would not, however, recommend for any type of sports or exercise that require any type of lateral movement or solid support - which I did not expect of this shoe anyway.

A great shoe with the looks to match. I was looking for a well ventilated, all-purpose sport/water sport shoe that also kept little rocks and pebbles out, and I found it with this shoe. Very comfortable...not much arch support though, (I have high arches). I added an after market arch insert and now the shoe is perfect! Great traction too!

Lightweight and comfortable. One minus is during break in period you must repeatedly tighten laces.

Overall this is a nice shoe. It has great ventilation and is fairly comfortable. I have yet to use them in the water, so I can't say much for that aspect of them. My only real complaint is that the shoe feels a little bit flimsy for the money. I understand that is part of what makes them dry quickly and provides ventilation, but when you put them on your feet, they feel like they should cost less.

I've worn Merrell shoes almost every day for the last 4-5 years. I like the brand, the quality of their shoes and how comfortable and versatile they are. So, here's my opinion on these ones (I've had them for a month or so). The good:-comfortable-very light shoes, keep feet cool (they're great for warm climates). The bad:they don't offer as much support as other models (e.g. Overdrive) but this is to be expected, given how thin and light they are. Very limited and ugly (in my opinion) set of color schemes. Merrell, are your designers color blind, or what? How many cars would Ford sell if their cars would come only in dirty green, sick yellow and washed-off blue? The ugly: these shoes have the *worst* laces I have ever seen in my life. I practically have to tie my shoes every half an hour, even when I only sit in front of a computer. When hiking, it gets extremely annoying. Problem solved by buying other laces. Overall I feel that the legendary Merrell quality is slipping, probably as the company is cutting costs. Still, these are a great pair of shoes, which I wear almost every day. I hope this helps.

Good fit, comfortable to walk in but a little squishy on the top. I've had to retie the shoes and tighten laces after wearing them an hour or so.

Very nice and comfortable shoes. They shouldn't call them Waterpro because your feet get wet as soon as it rains.

These are very comfortable shoes and have been extremely durable, as well. They look a lot like tennis shoes even though they "work" like amphibious shoes or sandals, which is particularly useful for traveling. The one pair of shoes does double-duty very effectively. I'd get another pair without hesitation. The only note of caution that I want to provide potential buyers is that it's possible for the shoes to pick up quite a smell if you get them wet and they don't completely dry out right away. I used the shoes on a kayaking excursion on a recent vacation, and even with the odor-resistant insoles and several attempts at cleaning them, there's still a persistent smell from the river water that re-appears when I wear them. I can't be sure that it wasn't just something in this river's water, but it looks like replacing the insole might be the only solution at this point.

I found these ugly ducklings to be of the same fit and quality of my other Merrell shoes. They are comfortable, stable, light, ventilated and fast-drying. My only complaint is small: the laces are very slick and come untied easily. This can easily be remedied by purchasing a new set. On a side note, my girlfriend has the same shoe in the women's line and does not have the lace issue. I have to double up on the knot to keep them tied but not a huge deal, not enough for me to buy another pair of laces. I have taken them sailing, hiking and biking with absolutely no rubbing or discomfort from day one. I actually incidentally had to swim in these for a short distance, but they didn't weigh me down. They were broken in within a couple days of dog walks and I found the soft mesh upper to be very conforming and comfortable and did not chaff the back of my ankle/heel. They may be a bit dorky, but a very good shoe. Ahnu makes a couple of similar lines, the Lodi and Temescal, that would be worth checking out if you are interested in this type of shoe.
