I love these in the light brown shade (Tabacco Leather, as it says on the Birkenstock box) but I don't think I can keep them. I usually wear a size 10/41 in every shoe. With these the 41 footbed fit me better than the 40, but the size 40 straps fit better than the 41 straps. I'd keep them if I could have the 41 footbed with 40 straps. The 40 fit me a little short, meaning it "fits" perfectly standing still, but with no extra room to spread my toes when walking—the toe bar hits at a painful spot and my toes hit the lip of the sandal. In the 40 I can wear the toe strap on the second hole and ankle in the middle hole, and they look and fit well. In the 41 the straps are wider and longer than the 40, which looks masculine and doesn't keep my foot in place well—I have to wear them on the last holes and they still flop around too much at the ankle and heel. Perhaps Birkenstock figured only men would wear the 41s and up.

I love Birkenstock sandals and clogs. However, this particular style made me feel like I had blocks of wood for feet. They were not nearly as comfortable as they were cute. For that reason, I had to return them. I am sad because I can't find them in a narrow width and Birkenstock said they have been discontinued.

They fit perfectly, and the footbed is so comfortable - but the strap between my toes was not. I wish there was a pretty Birkenstock sandal with a back strap that didn't go between my toes!

I want to love Birkenstocks because of how comfortable I hear they are, but they never fit me right. I guess my toes already too wide. So I ordered these as a last-ditch effort and because they’re cuter than any other Birkenstocks. ugh. So uncomfortable. The toe box actually fit me but the strap around the ankle feels like it tugs when I walk and the bumps in the footbed hit my foot in the wrong places. The sole has almost no flex - I don’t get it… these things are just plain uncomfortable! I’ve tried hard to convert to the Birkenstock cult but it just isn’t for me. Off to find a different comfort sandal…

Fit is great for my size 8M feet. The ankle strap was a killer. Rubbed on my skin, so I had to send them back. That being said, a friend of mine wears this sandal while standing on her feet most of the day. She finds the shoe extremely comfortable.

These fit a full size larger than expected. I have over a dozen pairs of Birkenstock Arizonas (it's a sad -- but comfortable! -- obsession) and they are all 38N. Without fail, 38N fits to perfection. I had to get a 37 in the Yara, however. No narrow option, but the 37 regular fit just about the same as the Arizona 38Ns. Still ended up returning because I couldn't get the ankle strap buckled. I think Birkenstock could make the strap a little longer and stick in some more buckle holes to accommodate a larger range of ankles. I have never considered my ankles large/thick, so this came as a surprise to me.

I love these shoes, but unfortunately, I am returning them as the 36 (smallest size) is more like a 5.5-6.0. Too long for my foot. I WISH Birkenstock made these in size 35.

My chiropractor told me to buy Birkenstocks for my feet and I thought these were the cutest of them all. Unfortunately, these are not for anyone with a wide foot. The sides were pinching and even walking around the house was not comfortable.

The footbed was great, but the ankle strap was pretty tight. I'm on the narrow side ankle-wise, used the widest buckle, and I thought these would start to feel like they were cutting off circulation after a long day of walking.

For a birkenstock, I expected more. And I have yet to receive my refund!

The ankle straps were way to big for my ankles. I had to punch 2 extra holes in each strap just to be able to wear them. I am a huge Birkenstock fan! I have have posterior tibial tendinitis and can only wear shoes with great arch support. I own Birkenstock sandals, boots, and sneakers and these sandals are unwearable for me. They have good arch support, but they flopped around much like a heavy flip flop.

Too big and not enough support :( runs large and not the best style for thinner feet.

Perhaps these were mis-sized. Gigantic

I wanted to love these but the leather was so stiff these didn't fit my foot at all and there was going to be no adjustment available. I agree with the other reviewer that the angle of where the buckle ended up was not comfortable at all. These were a fail for me.

I love this yara Birkenstocks , but they are a Half a size bigger . I need them smaller,

I wanted to like these because of the comfort. I noticed the new styling for Birkenstock and thought I would try the Yara. There is just no getting around the fact that it looks like a giant brick on the bottom of your foot :(

Way too big. I ordered my normal size and I think they are a full size to big. Returning them.

I love Birkenstock but this style is very uncomfortable. The straps would pinch my ankle on the front where they overlap when I walk.

I wanted to love these, but I do not think that Birkenstocks are for me. I wore these for about a week to try to break them in, and every time I would wear them for a few hours, my feet would feel very bruised and achy. I spend a lot of hours on my feet (I am a runner, I bartend for a living, I hike a lot, I take my dog on long walks), and I normally do not need super comfortable shoes just for running errands. So, I thought that running errands in these sandals would be a great way to break them in. Every time I wore them out to run errands, I could not go on a run later because my feet hurt so bad. I think the quality is fantastic, and I have always wanted a pair of Birks. Maybe I should just get a different style or something. But I am returning them.

I loved these super-cute sandals - loved (past tense). I purchased these from Zappos in March and have worn them 1-2 times a week for the last three months. So that's, at most, 30 wearings or so...in the office and around the house. Easy wear - no long walks or hikes. Today the toe strap completely detached from the sole of the shoe. I expected much better quality from Birkenstock - but maybe I've been deceived by the brand. This was my first pair. I checked the Zappos return policy, but I guess they only allow returns on unworn items, not defective. So do yourself a favor, save your dollars and Don't Buy These.

These were so cute! The fit was awful though. Very wide and very long. They seemed to be designed for a mans foot. The ankle strap was stiff/tight and the rest was loose. I was so looking forward to these. Still love Zappos. I ordered yesterday and they got to me in rural Arkansas today. Love free shipping. Sad to return them but free returns takes the sting out.

I wanted so badly to love these sandals but the leather straps gave me blisters. I know some folks say that the leather will break in, but I don't believe that is possible. Leather straps that chafe the skin can't be "broken in." These are going back.

My flat feet loved these. Unfortunately, the foot bed developed a crack across the entire toe bed area….and they were only lightly worn (leather looks brand new)! A waste of money.

The fit of the shoe felt fine but the edges of the leather straps were sharp. As far as the look, my daughter told me they made me look like the hercules cartoon. I checked. She was not wrong.
