I resisted Birks for a long time but time has caught up with me. I'm happy that I made Yara's my first ever pair of Birks. They fit my foot well and have a cute, stylish look for summer. I wore them all afternoon yesterday and most of today as I thought the leather around the toe might rub and hurt. So far, no rubbing! I did notice, however, that the ankle strap is not very generous. Thank goodness I don't have thick ankles, because the very last hole is the most comfortable for me. I knocked off one star because of that.

I wore Birkenstock sandals for many years and hey were the only comfortable shoe I had. We moved and I needed something other than a sandal. I thought I had worn a 37, but after trying these on, I realize I need a 36. I think I may have ordered these once before because I seem to remember trying to get the straps to buckle. It is difficult for me to get around to the outside of my ankle to work with the buckle and I don't think the straps are long enough for my foot and ankle. The sandal is lovely to look at and I like the way the big toe fits into one slot and the rest of the foot fits into the opposite side. If I can't get this shoe, which is too large, buckled, a size down won't work either. Next summer I will look for another Birkenstock sandal, perhaps back to my old favorite, the Arizona.

The leather on this style felt stiff and the shoe looked clunky compared to the Lola style, which I ended up keeping.

The fit is perfect. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and I ordered the 39 and they fit perfectly! I ordered them one day and they were at my door the very next day. Zappos customer service is the best! These are stylish and comfortable. I’m sure I will be wearing them often. Totally happy with my purchase. Zappos ur the best!

Order a full size smaller than your normal Birkenstock size. I was skeptical and did not follow advice from other reviews and I had to return them. They feel a little bit harder to break in but are insanely cute.

I have a number of pairs of birks, unfortunately I found that these ran large as compared to my other pairs. I ordered a size smaller and they fit perfect!

The fit of the shoe was true to size. Unfortunately where the straps crossed irritated the skin on my ankle. Perhaps the straps will soften after more use but it will be going back.

These sandals are super cute and comfy. It does getting some use to as the strap around the ankle feels a little weird at first. Overall I am happy with the sandal as it has that gladiator look, but with ARCH SUPPORT :-)

I did have to size down for these sandals but as always Zappos comes thru with their quick and easy exchanges. I love the look of these sandals. I have only had them a week so I'm still breaking them in to know how they'll be for extended walking periods. But they've felt great so far and the arch support is great. The straps do take a little bit of time to get used to, but I've done as others suggested with loosening the straps and am confident they will become softer with wear.

Fit was perfect! Within a few hours they felt totally comfortable like old comfy shoes!

I loved the style of these shoes but they were far too big. I typically wear a 6 but based on reviews that they ran large, I sized down to a 5. The size 5 were too big and this style isn’t available in a 4. I liked that all the straps were adjustable and the regular width was perfect for my wider feet. I wish the ankle strap was a little thinner like on the Daloa style - on small feet, it was a bit clunky. If they had my size, I would have kept them.

I really, really loved these. (I ordered these and the Daloa) while I was leaning more towards these because I just love the style i went with the others for the following reasons: the tobacco color I got seams as though it would scratch easily, these needed a little more of a break in than the Daloa, and I felt like the Daloa are a little easier to dress up because they aren’t as wide.

I agree with previous reviews that this sandal runs large compared to other Birkenstocks. I usually wear a 38 and needed a 37 in this shoe. If you have chubbier feet or your toes just fit in the size you usually wear, you may want to get your usual size, otherwise, size down.

I love Birkenstocks, and have had many pairs. However, they fail to realize that not everybody has narrow feet and stick limbs. My legs are shapely, and my ankles narrow considerably, but the ankle straps are waaaay too short. I would have to pay for shoe repair to extend them. It's too bad because they stopped making many of the cute styles and colors a few years ago. A regular-width classic foot bed shoe/sandal in various dark eggplant, olive green, sea blue, or black leather/suede is what the majority of the population wants in feminine footwear. Birkenstock is having trouble delivering lately.

I ordered these for my daughter to replace a pair she had that wore out after several years. Ordered the same size, but the footbed on this pair was shorter than the previous pair. I don’t wear Birkenstocks; maybe they have resized in the past few years since older reviews stated that they felt too large?

The 37 fits great. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5. Trying to break in... the toe ring takes some getting used to. My first pair of Birks and they’re very cute!

I was hoping to wear these shoe especially for comfort and walking. However, the thong between the big toe and 2nd toe caused caused a bit of irritation for me pushing my 2nd toe more to the 3rd toe. Not only that, my 2nd toe typically overlaps the 3rd toe just a little but for some reason the thong makes it push to further making it not look like the overlapping toe sits on top of the 3rd toe. I will have to return these shoes.

These are the cutest Birkenstock (Yara) sandals that I have seen. I love the the dark brown color (Oiled Habana). The ankle strap really finishes the look of these sandals. I did size down one full size after reviewing others' comments; glad that I did. Unfortunately, I do have narrow feet, and I felt that these sandals were too wide for my feet....very disappointed because I was hoping to be able to keep these.

Birks run a full size larger than "most" shoes available in the US. I tried a pair of Crocs with straps that were recommended for walking in water. Needed a size 10. For Birkenstocks I wear size 8.

I recently discovered that I need to go from a size 8 1/2 to size 9 in regular shoes, due to both "maturing" feet and use of custom orthotics. I had a pair of Birk Arizonas, but had stopped wearing them a few years back due to the flip-flop design slipping as I walked. After reading reviews, I decided to get a size 39 in the Yara and am pleased that I did - my right foot is closer to the edge, but not uncomfortably so, the sandal provides good arch support, and I really like the fact that the straps keep the sandal snug on my feet as I walk.

Loved the look but this style definitely runs big! All my others are 40 but these are just too big.

I'll start out by saying that, like others, I found the ankle straps to be way too short for my ankles. And no, I do not have cankles by any means! I was so disheartened because I seriously love the style and femininity of this model of Birks (I have always had Arizonas... going back to college 20+ years ago). I decided to risk my investment and stretch out the straps. Did a simple google search on stretching leather and soaked the straps ONLY in a big bowl of warm water about 15 minutes. Then just pulled on them, being careful not to pull where they are attached to the footbed. To my amazement, they stretched very easily and quickly. And when dried, they did not shrink back. Now they are loosely fitted around my ankle, sort of slouchy, like in the Zappos video. Now I LOVE my new Birks!

I have narrow ankles and the strap was not tight enough even at its tightest so they flopped when I walk. These also look cuter online. I think that people with an earthier style would love these but they're not for me, I'll be returning them.

The ankle strap is very long offering no stability. Had to return.
