birkenstock remains true to their product. i've been wearing birks for 50 years (give or take a few) and they remain, in context, the perfect shoe.

Our 16 year old grandson loves the Arizona style Birkenstock sandal… feel great and look great!! They are his favorite shoe.

If you are familiar with Birkenstock then these fit exactly as expected. Beautiful leather, great arch support, and super comfortable. Got the black oiled leather and they are a beautiful mat black. The phrase “oiled” leather may make you think they are going to be shiny but they are definitely not.

If you are a Birdie fan, once you know your size you are set for life. I have plantar fasciitis and these sandals are the best footwear for this condition. Be sure to use cork treatment so the footbeds don’t dry out, and replace tread when worn, and you will have many years of enjoyment. I enjoy the Milano but also own a couple of pairs of Arizonas, plus others. BIG fan!

I don’t want to sound pretentious, but I only wear Birkenstocks. They are by far the most comfortable shoes for my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and since starting to wear them, my symptoms have decreased drastically. Of course there is a breaking in period, but once they are broken, your feet will be so happy. I understand they are pricey, but what a lot of people don’t know is that you can get them re-soled and re-corked. My mom has had her Birkenstocks for decades. Yeah. I said decades. Her oldest pair are about 30 years old. She always tells me, “there are two things you don’t go cheap on: shoes and mattresses. You’re on your feet all day, get shoes that are comfortable and good for your feet, you sleep in your bed to recharge, make sure it’s a good mattress”. You won’t be sorry with these, or any other Birkenstocks.

In heels, cycling shoes or fitted sandals I am a true size 7. Running, hiking, comfy shoes (like these Birks), I prefer an 8. My foot width is average. First time I ordered size 37 narrow and, while they fit, it was a snug fit and my pinky toes rubbed the inside ridge. I went with a 38 regular this time, and the fit is perfect. I didn't even need to adjust the straps, which were on the tightest hole. While I imagine they will only get more comfortable over time, I look forward to wearing them with cute socks or leggings and skirts this fall.

These sandals are great! You need a break in time. But after, it is the most comfortable experience. They just grow on you. I love the leather. I can match it worth absolutely anything.

Birks always take a little while to break in but they’re my favorites. A little sandpaper to the edge of upper can help prevent blisters

I originally ordered a different pair of Birkenstocks and realized the “leather” felt very fake. Returned them with no hassle and reordered the the oiled leather. Definitely need to be broken it for a few days with socks or else you’ll get some blisters. Love them and a great everyday shoe

Love my Birks. These are always consistent in size and quality, and I wear them out from so much walking. The best part? I take them to my local shoe guru, and he resoles them on the cheap. Keep the cork sealed and get the soles replaced when worn, and these will last forever! Thank you Zappos and Birkenstock for awesome service and products.

My 15-year-old bought these with his own money. He loves the style and says it's "cool" to wear them with socks. Haha!

I am normally on the small side of a 7 womens shoe. The 7-7.5 fits perfectly. I also have a narrow foot, the the narrow width was too small. Returned for the regular width and they fit great!

Over 248 years of doing something incredibly well, Birkenstock has seen countless competitors come and go. In the 30 years I’ve been purchasing and wearing them, I’ve never had a bad pair. If you wear them, you don’t need my advice, you already know. If you’re looking at your first pair, it probably won’t be your last.

I wear a 9-9.5 w or ww and these shoes felt a little long, but the size down was way too snug and my toes touched the edges. I’m 255 mm which is right between sizes. Since I will likely wear socks and have wide feet I kept the bigger size. Still breaking them in which is painful to my calves and lower back, but they have gotten more comfortable in the week I’ve been wearing them with just a half hour or hour of wear each day. Note that when I bought these a year ago they had a foot print and were clearly used. This time the cork was smooth and not used.

Warning: these are much lighter than the picture. Instead of returning them for a darker color, I darkened them a bit with coconut oil. Works great. Tip: if you choose to try this, make sure the coconut oil is melted, use a cotton ball to apply, let dry . Repeat these steps as many times as you’d like to achieve the desired color, allowing to dry between each coat.

The best spring and summer sandal. Hold up well and took no time to break in.

So I previously ordered these in 39 narrow. I thought they were too short and my foot measured on the wide side so I returned and got a 40 regular. They were too big. So I tried again and got a 39 regular. They are perfect and so comfortable! Unlike the 40 which was very uncomfortable. According to Birkenstock measurement I would need 40 regular but it’s too long. I’m a 9-9.5 in all other shoes. I guess the wide allows my foot to spread out more and creates more length. My left foot is also bigger than the right one so a 40 is wayyyy too big on that foot.

I am a woman who wears an 8 1/2 EE . It is vey difficult to find a shoe that fits. This shoe in the regular width is perfect.

I wear these shoes everyday. I live in an RV that travels with the sun. The oiled leather makes it easier to clean and re-oil so they look better longer. I use shoe gu to repair sole when I wear out the heals. Take a piece of tape and wrap it around heal to make a retaining wall, turn upside down and fill heal up with “ black” shoe gu. Sits overnight and are like new the next morning.

I really wish I could have kept these but they were a tad too short. I ordered a 39 based on reviews but I should have gone with the 40. They were really good quality so I returned and ordered a size up.

If you are familiar with Birkenstock Arizona these are as expected. Great arch support, super comfortable, well made and they look great. The Tabacco brown is a really nice medium brown leather that is soft leather but with structure. Love them.

Excellent sandal, very comfortable, just need to give it time to break in, breaking them in will hurt your feet, so just wear them a couple of hours a day until then.

Been wearing these since they arrived. The only downside is the leather strap color really doesn't go well with any for my dress socks, and can't replace those as I finally have them paired to my Bermuda shorts. I have not yet tried walking on water with these, but I expect they will be fine with for that based all the commentary these sandals have elicited form people passing by. Didn't know about that feature when I bought these but am excited to try!

Happy flatulent feet! So I’m a long time Birkie, but because the things last so unbelievably long, this is my third pair only in my life. The two pairs before these were not Arizonas. I’ve worn a Madrid and before this, a Milano. The Arizonas are a bit… peculiar on my feet. I have mega high arches. The kind of banana feet ballerinas would murder for. My footprint is actually detached (meaning my forefoot print and my heel print aren’t connected) and these shoes love to trap air between the footbed and my arches. Essentially, they fart when I walk. Not all the time, but enough. High arches like mine mean even shoes designed for “high arches” are going to victimize me in some way. So these shoes don’t lose points for this. I’m used to it. otherwise, as usual, Birks win again for no blisters, pain, blood, or anything else that tends to be par for the course for mega arched feet. But if you have feet like mine, just beware these are fart shoes. At least until you break them in.
