This is my first pair of Birkenstocks, and since they are not inexpensive shoes, I did a lot of research beforehand and couldn't be happier with the outcome! The 37s fit my slightly-wider-than-average (women's) size 6.5 feet perfectly and the construction of the shoe is really solid. Like many others mentioned, there was a breaking in period where it hurt to wear them for more than a few hours while walking around, but now, after 2 months, they are very comfortable. I ordered the oiled leather, but accidentally was sent the birkoflor material ones initially. Having seen both of them, I would totally recommend people go for the leather - it looks much nicer in person and just feels more quality than the synthetic material. These are shoes that are built to last, so it's worth the extra money up front. Also, when making the exchange for the right shoes, Zappos' customer service was amazing; super-quick and very helpful. I'd be happy to shop here again!

These are super comfortable shoes! The color is a bit off from the photo (more taupe), but I actually like it better as it goes everything. They take a few wearing to wear in - I recommend wearing them around the house.

My last pair of Birkenstocks lasted me over 10 years, so these shoes are well worth the cost. They take about a week to properly break in, but after that they get more and more comfortable as they mold to your feet. They are my favorite shoes by far.

Well constructed shoe but I'm returning it because the "oiled leather" makes the upper far too stiff and it will break my feet before it breaks in. I'll order the synthetic vegan upper instead. I tried that on in a store and it was immediately comfortable. I also thinks this color is a little too masculine.

These are so comfortable. I've had them for two years now, and I live in them in the summer, except when it's raining.

These are just what I was looking for--the original footbed in the size, style, and color I needed. Shipping was quick. I've been wearing my new Birkenstocks every day, and they just get better and better.

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for many years, some pairs I've bought were already mildly broken-in, and that makes a difference to even the way a brand new pair looks, believe me. These appear enormous and too-big right out of the box, but that is normal. This Arizona style is the most CLASSIC of Birks. If you are already a familiar Birks fan/buyer, you'll know that these are the original footbed (no foam lining); and this doesn't make them uncomfortable, just makes a different feel than the Birko-flor versions designed for the newbie Birk buyer, perhaps. The only thing all should be aware of, is the width choice. Normal width fits most feet, but I happen to have unusually long and thin toes and sometimes find that the regular width can look too wide at the top. I can wear either regular or narrow, regular width fits good on bare feet, and great with socks - a looser fit altogether (which, also if you're a noob, they are supposed to be roomy, especially at first when breaking them in. They will eventually form to your foot and "shrink" as it transforms to the comfortable curved shape you see on worn-in Birks.) The straps also will seem loose and kinda sharp at first, but the Birkenstock website has tips for the newbie on the breaking-in process (wear around house for a few days at first, flex the sole to make the cork softer, etc). All in all, these are excellent shoes, for everyone. Highly recommend.

They took some break in time out of the box, maybe two days of not wearing them all day long. For the first couple of days when I wore them, I felt fatigue in my arches after a couple of hours and the insoles felt very hard. But now they feel great, softer, I guess they have molded to my feet. They're cuter than I thought they would be, too. I like them with boyfriend shorts or skinny jeans so far. I'm not so much a Birkenstock and dress girl. One weird thing is that the leather inside turned my feet slightly black where the straps hit, although doesn't seem to do that every time.

Pulled them out of the box and loved them the instant I saw them. I loved what they looked like in the ad but was elated that they were even better looking in person. They are so comfy and my daily go to shoes. I am very happy!

I have been wearing Birks for years and I go through a pair about every 2.5 years (one old one newish). These meet form. Same construction and fit as well as style. Unlike some other shoe companies who have gone on the cheap Birkenstock has held up true.

I absolutely love these. I had my eye on them for an entire year before I got the guts to spend a lot on a pair of sandals. However, I've only had mine for a week and the leather on my left sandal is separating from the sole. I know this isn't going to hold for very long. I'd love for Zappos to contact me to resolve this issue.

German engineering at its finest. Birkenstock's are the best sandal out there. It also makes a great slipper as they are quite cozy.

These guys are awesome! Don't know why it took me 2 years to pull the trigger! But I am so glad I did! Comfy, cute and versatile! I will be ordering a pair in Black soon!

I was so excited to get these and sure enough they did not disappoint. The first day was all about breaking them in, but I didn't have any blisters or anything. I adjusted the straps to my feet and have been wearing them ever since! Now they are slightly more molded to my feet and I'm sure once summer continues they will only get more comfortable. Good purchase, will buy more!

I love these Birks. The color is perfect and so unique. The leather is super soft and the buckles are a pretty color too. They're super comfortable! I wear a size 9 in women's and I ordered a 40 Narrow. They fit really well though I wouldn't mind a size 39 instead. Either way though, they're great.

I ordered these in pink and the color is exactly as expected and perfect! Love them. As typical with Birks, expect a short breaking in period. Roomy fit.

I love these shoes! I got the tobacco oiled leather and the color is beautiful. The leather has gotten a little darker over time, but they're still good. I've had them for almost a year, and definitely feel they were worth every penny. I love that I can wear these without/with socks. They're super comfortable, and my go-to comfort shoe.

Just as expected and perfect! I have several pairs of Birkenstocks and have found it best to buy the narrow width. I wear an 8-8 1/2 and always buy the 39. They fit perfectly. I'll be back for more!

This was my first pair of Birkenstocks and I'm so thrilled already! I have high arches and find most sandals to have too little support for a full day of activities. These fully fit the bill! Be sure to tighten straps so that they are snug, loose straps can lead to nasty blisters.

Love them! I wear a size 7.5/8 US and ordered a size 37. Hereditary bunion on one foot and had surgery on the other - neither is bothered by these shoes. Recommend breaking them in a few hours at a time.

These are great shoes for your feet. Not very sexy but good for you. They will make you walk like you are supposed to and prevent (or heal) the most common foot and knee ailments that appear in your later years. I have metatarsalgia and the toe bump of the Birkenstock footbed requires gripping of the toes - basically alleviating the nerve pain. The multiple arch supports and negative heel are also therapeutic. On sizing - I normally wear a 5.5B or M width and the 36 Narrow fits perfectly. If I had ordered the regular width I would have run out of holes on the straps for tightening and my foot would be swimming around width-wise. A negative review said the shoe felt like you were walking on a roll of coins but I'm guessing that was due to over-tightening the straps. The straps should be loose enough that you can slide your foot forward to get your toes past the toe bump easily and there should be some room behind your heel. Not to the point of a floppy shoe but your toes should have to grip the bump as you walk, much like the Dr. Scholls of long ago. And you can't beat the German craftsmanship. Best "walking" shoe purchase ever!

The Arizona is a little looser than other Birkenstocks that I have, I had to use all the holes to get the straps adjusted so if you have thin skinny feet you may need to have an extra hole punched. I have 4 pairs of Birkenstocks and love them all, the color on these is awesome as they match anything!

Love these shoes! Great neutral color and so good for my feet. I use to wear flip flops that caused foot and back pain, these are worth the price!
