I have been wearing Birkenstock’s for 30 years. They are the best footwear I have. I wear them year round

SIZING is wrong!!! The sandals are great, but, I wear 8.5-9 and after TWO returns I ended up getting size 39, which is supposed to fit 6-6.5. This is not just a glitch, it happened over three shoes. Just reduce your U.S. size by 2.

I love Birks, have for years. Wish I'd ordered sooner. Will get more. As always Zappos service is fantastic.

I wear a size 5.5. Ordered the Arizona in 5-5.5 (36) narrow. Great fit! I do have narrow feet, and after reading reviews decided I should get the narrow. So glad I did. I have plantar fasciitis, so the arch support is great for my feet. I, also, have Mourton’s Neuroma, and can currently wear only two pair of sneakers without pain. I, now, have a third pair of shoes I am able to wear without pain-my Birkenstock’s! For the first several days, I only wore them a couple hours each day to get my feet used to them. These shoes are great and I highly recommend them! I’m sore I’ll be purchasing more!

I have not worn Birks for years. Felt great and looking forward to many years of comfort!!!

I am normally a size 8, I ordered a 39 regular width. I returned them for a 38 narrow. They fit beautifully. I usually do not take a narrow. The return process could not have went smoother. Thanks Zappos!

The third time was the charm! I usually wear 10M (41 in European sizes), but really, I'm a 10.5 N, and I'm finally coming to grips with that! I ordered the big-buckle Birks in 41 N, and according to various websites, that size was too small because my toes came right up to the edge -- a no-no. Plus, the huge buckles on my skinny, long feet looked silly. So I returned them for a pair in 42N, but Zappos shipped me a 42 regular (too wide). So I exchanged THAT pair for the correct size, and finally I'm happy! Now I just have to break them in ... I'm about halfway there. So, if you have long, narrow feet like I do, you may need to go up 1/2 to 1 size if you choose the Narrow width.

I finally got the right version, lol. I recently returned the soft bed Birkenstock’s because I didn’t like the fit or the way they felt. I then did a little more research and ordered these, and it made all the difference in the world. You must find the right version for you as stated before, there are several versions of Birkenstock’s. Don’t get discouraged if you run into a road block, just keep looking and read the customer reviews. Customers tend to tell the truth about these things. Fit, style, and the correct version are very important. Also, you need to give them time to break in, then you will either love them, or hate them, lol. Good luck!

Feel like the sizing has changed in the past 5-6 years. Bought my last pair of birks and have always gotten a 38 narrow. And I’ve generally used my euro size to buy most of my shoes in American sizes since American sizing tends to vary, but euro is 98% always accurate. Was shocked when I had to size down to a 37 narrow when I purchased these! But still love this style and looking forward to getting another 6 years out of this pair.

I love these. I don’t have a narrow foot, but the narrow is perfect for me in birks. After struggling with plantar fasciitis, I went back to wearing Birkenstock sandals and shoes. They may not be the prettiest, but they support my high arches!

Once again, Birkenstocks do not disappoint. These sandals are as gorgeous as they are well-made. I have purchased Birks before and I decided to get the "hard" footbed for this one, and I definitely made the right choice! Perhaps it is just the way I walk, but the soft footbeds actually hurt a little more than the hard ones when I am in the process of breaking them in. Also, Zappos had them delivered to my house the next day! They were not expected to arrive that early. This was my first Birkenstock purchase through Zappos, and it definitely will not be the last!
