I have a few pairs of Birk Gizeh and love them. Bought these trying to branch out to a different style but these are not as good. My opinion.

I ordered these since they’re super in now. I had to try them out to see what the big talk was about. They’re definitely not as comfy as I expected, however I no longer have to take birth control wearing these bad boys because not one man would ever approach me wearing these.

Strange color. Not what I expected. Pink with a purplish tinge. Not for me.

Material was good just runs extra large. I’m 7.5 but it felt like the 7-7.5 size was more like an 8-8.5

The sandals seem to be worn(?). While the bottoms of the soles are not marked, the black portion is somewhat smashed down (as if crushed under some weight) when compared with the other Birkenstock sandals I recently received from Zappos. Also, they did not come in an original box and there are two small what appear to be pieces of dried straw adhered to the foot bed of one sandal. Given everything, I did not even try these on. This was to replace a pair I received which had one sandal slightly shorter than the other. Still deciding whether or not I want to try again for a third time or just give up.

Foot bed is 1/2 inch shorter than my old size 44 Berkies. I have re-ordered size 45.

I bought these Birks in black oiled leather over four months ago. . .and they are STILL bleeding black dye on my feet, every time I wear them. They fit fine, like any classic Arizonas, but the first time I wore them out and about they left deep, dark stains across my feet. By then, I couldn't return them, so I tried to seal them with weather-resistant protector. Nothing stops the bleed. Over these past months I keep hoping the dye will settle down, but it hasn't. The marks the sandals leave are now faint, but they are persistent. So, BE AWARE of the bleed.

Fit and size were good as expected. I like the comfort and ease of Birkenstocks. The color was not as pictured, I ordered tobacco...I thought that meant tan. What I received was more of a taupe/beige grey. Sadly I have to return them.

You're reading this because you, like all of us, struggle with Birkenstock sizing. I own some European dress shoes in 10.5, on up to pairs of running shoes in 12. Most typically I wear 11 in dress shoes and 11.5 in athletic shoes. My feet aren't beefy, and I'm OK in my retro sneakers that a lot of folks say are too narrow. I was directed to wear shoes indoors now to keep my aging feet from flattening and worsening bunions, so it's back to Birks like college in the 90s. I ordered the 10-10.5 regular and the 11-11.5 in narrow to see what works on me now. By all rights I should be great in a 11-11.5. The arch location felt better in the 11-11.5, but the toe bar was WAY too far forward to even think about trying to make these work. My small toe actually ended before the toe bar even started! I thought narrow would work because I remember always being on the last strap hole, but it turns out that the narrow 11-11.5 was too narrow for my foot, despite the footbed being way too long. The 10-10.5 regular was a much better fit to my foot, even though it was still too narrow at the widest part of my foot. And I'm still on the last strap hole even though I've sized down. Maybe if these things came in half sizes I could find perfection, but they don't. Note - the built quality is still high, with nice suede and leather, and I remember that they do get comfortable once they meld with your foot. However, the tobacco leather had ZERO depth of color. It looked pale and sad, even though I've seen this color combo look attractive in pictures. Maybe I got a dull pair??

Color was much darker than I had hoped. I previously ordered 2 pairs of the tobacco brown. The color that I liked unfortunately was size 38. The size 39 that fit better was a nice soft nubuck (newer version I think ?) but I was looking for the oiled leather in a 39. The pair I just received is an oiled leather but much darker color than I had hoped for.

I like these shoes, and kept them - BUT, they are not as pictured. The leather is completely different. If you are set on getting this cool worn in oiled look, keep looking!

I really wanted some sandals for the summer and always purchased an off brand style. I was sure that the regular width would fit since everyone says that they run a little wider but these were small around the heel. Too bad they only offer narrow and regular but not wide. I was really looking forward to rocking my new Berks.

Love these Birkenstocks. They didn't last as long as I hoped but I notified Zappos and they took care of the problem. Excellent customer service!

Extremely comfortable shoe and very good materials. That said, I found the lower band to sit too high up on the foot: my toes were entirely free and things could easily slip underneath them, into the foot bed. Having the lower band sit closer to the toes would help prevent this from happening. I should add that the foot bed fits perfectly so it is not a size thing, and this happens even when you tighten the straps very very tightly.

Was sent a pair of shoes that appeared to have been worn and returned by someone else. Did not appear to be a new pair of shoes.

Very stiff. Could not bend

I am so tired of unisex sizing. Men have wider feet. Maybe Birkenstock doesn't sell many sandals to men and feels no need to have a wider footbed. I am returning these and won't be looking to Birkenstock for sandals again.

I ordered size 38 7-7.5 US size I wear a 7 I pretty much knew when put on my foot to buckle them they were too long and wide and when I stood up since I used wear these all the time but along time ago don't remember so many types so can't the same but remember how comfortable they were and the sole was totally different had more custion type totally a comfortable sandle so didn't expect the sole to be so hard maybe I didn't read it right but thought was a softer sole I already ordered the Soft Sole Flor and returned so obviously these aren't what I remember or for me anymore but size was correct I have worn Finn Comfort Standford a really cute diabetic clog in 38 people surprised when I say it's a diabetic shoe and they fit great that's what I wear now but just wanted to try a sandle I thought was so comfortable and they fit me then to be fair I'm running into so many shoes of 7-7-5 size I'ved tried not all too wide but too long even a pair of name brand slippers in 7 was too wide and long I can't shop in stores so it's been a real challenge to find another pair of shoes I have 1 pair of shoes and this great comfortable pair of ankle boots I wear in the winter and got for $10.00

Perfect fit after returning for the regular width but I had to send this pair back too because I literally walked around the house in these shoes and it sounded like my feet were farting. I thought it was because the other ones were too narrow but this pair does it too. They are very comfortable and soooo cute but I couldn’t justify what I paid to wear farting shoes!!!

I agree with another reviewer that "the sizes are 'way off." My shoe size is 7-/2 to 8, so I ordered a 38 thinking it would be on the shorter end of that--and it was way too long! And did not fit at all snugly enough, even buckled into the tightest openings. And although I know "turquoise" covers a wide range of colors, this was more gray than anything, and quite disappointing. So I had to return those, and continue to search for a better size and color.

My old favorite, the Arizonia sandal by Birkenstock with the new Big Buckle was a great disappointment. The big buckle requires a larger side "panel" for the buckle. The larger leather side panel felt like it cut the inside of my foot. It was so uncomfortable. I have bought this sandal style for years and have never had a problem. It is the large buckle, large stiff leather inside of the shoe which is the problem. I would not recommend this large buckle style for anyone. I am returning this shoe. Please continue to make this sandel with the smaller buckel.

The birks are a 10/10, but zappos shipped them without a box. They are severely scratched now so I am forced to return. Customer service could not care less. I think it’s time I stop shopping at Zappos now

Could not believe these shoes were Burkenstocks. Looked and felt like a cheap pair substituted!! Too expensive for what I saw. Actually Kohls has an all leather pair that looks better, is much more comfortable!! And a lot less money. Leather too. The ones you sent were cheap looking too.

These came without the box. This is completely unsatisfactory as they are a gift. It also leads me to think that maybe they aren’t the real thing even though they are $130.

Zappos did not send the item that was ordered. They sent the wrong size, the wrong color and the wrong Birkenstocks model, and without the original Birkenstocks box. Everything was a miss.
