I'm a woman with really big feet, and I like a flipflop with a little bit of support (even though not much is really possible). I have been wearing reef smoothies for six or seven years -- I like the thick, hardy-but-soft straps. I used to buy the contoured ones, but since those are no longer available, I bought these uncontoured ones most recently and they're pretty much the same. As with all reefs, I buy them a half size larger than I would with any other shoe (normally I wear a men's 10.5/women's 12, but in these I buy the men's 11). The footbed of these is nice and squishy, which gives a bit of support, and the straps are relatively tight (when they're new) which gives a little bit more support. My feet are a little on the narrow side of normal, so if you have wide feet, this may be a bit of a problem for you. They always stretch over time -- my old pair seems much bigger than these since they're all stretched out. Normally reefs last me a couple summers -- better than any other flip flops I've owned in terms of lifespan. My biggest complaint with all the smoothies is that they squeak something terrible when wet, or make other weird noises. If you're planning on wearing these primarily in/near water, you may want to reconsider.

Absolutely lived in these while at university. Can be worn all day and ultra comfortable. I've gone through 5 pairs over the years and I've only tossed them in the bin once the foam topsole wears clean through to the sole (which literally takes a couple of years). The only problem I've found with them is that when they are still new and it's hot outside they squeak rather noisily. Had to take them off a few times walking through the library. Even took them off when I got to school one day and left them in the locker for an exam as I didn't want to walk out of a silent room once I was done with them squeaking. Note guys: I learned taking a chance and going barefoot can score you a coffee date with a nice gal. Wearing Reef flips gives an even better chance. The girls find them cool. The squeak disappears after a month or two once the foam wears in a bit. Then these become indescribably comfy.

Best flip flops ever. I buy a new pair or two every year. They are super comfy, and mold to your foot.

Love these flip-flops for how comfortable they are but the sizing seems to be way off. Maybe this is how their men's flip flops are.

I only ever wear these flip flops going on 20 years, I believe. I love them. I have strayed with other pairs but that never lasts 1 day maybe. Then back to my Smoothies. Thank you Zappos for having them always.

I only wear Reef's because of their quality and the support they provide. The souls will form to your feet after a few weeks of wear and they are the most comfortable flip flops out there.

I buy 2 pairs of these every summer and have done so for at least the past 5 years. They go with everything and always look great. I haven't ever found a more comfortable flip flop. The other reviews are right - they start out a bit tight, but once you wear them in there's nothing better. No complaints here!

Love these - have bought several pairs over the years. I wear a women's 8 and got a size 8 in these even though they're the men's version. And they fit perfectly. So I'd say the run 1-2 sizes small.

Love the shoes and reordered in the correct size. The order form states the sizes are Men's but they are not, they are Women's sizes so order normal.

I've owned two pairs of these now for about 10 years apart. My first pair, I could have kept because they lasted for forever, but I just bought a new pair and use the older pair around the house. The flip flops are so comfortble! I l absolutely love them. They may be a little plain jane and not much of a fashion statement, but they mold to your feet, they're just about every type of environment-friendly, and are easy to walk in. Highly recommend! Best summer flip flops. I buy a new pair every summer just for the new cushy feeling. obviously after a period of time it molds to your foot and loses some of the cushyness it started with, but well worth it.

Bought these for my husband. He loves them BUT he has another pair of Reefs (the leather type) in a size 10, which fit perfect, but for these, we had to send back the 10s for 11s so his toes didn't hang off the front.

Most comfortable flip flops in the world. Each of my last two pairs have lasted between 4-5 years before being retired from smell.

I have been buying REEF Flops for YEARS. They mold to my high arch and give me the support that I need. Reef Flops ROCK!!!

Comfortable flops. My husband bought these to wear around the house as summer slippers. He has the plain black ones for around the town.

They ran small, so I had to return the original pair that was purchased. However, the return was streamlined to perfection. I've never had an easier experience with a return.

For years these have been great flip-flops, but for some reason this year they are running smaller (comparing with old pairs, the difference is noticeable!).

These are simple, comfortable sandals that will last a really long time. And they're not expensive like many others. They're not fancy, or stylish though they're not unattractive (as much as sandals can be, for adult men). They're just dense, thick foam for your feet and a soft nylon strap. The last pair of original Smoothy sandals I had lasted ten years. Seems like since then, Reef has made the strap a little thicker, which is good, but made the shape of the shoe narrower, which is not as good for me. If you have wide feet, you may prefer the Teva Mush or a different Reef model.
