Not very comfortable

Well I was really disappointed. Unfortunatley the shoe runs very narrow and generally on the small side. So I shall have to return perhaps a size up and see how that fairs. Though wish a return label was provided in box (as I am unable to print or access a place that scans the code). Other than that, as usual the service from Zappos always consistent and delivers in a timely manner! Just wish I was able to use the new shoes.

I thought Birks were supposed to be comfortable?? I don't know what the footbed is made of, but it feels like I'm walking on rock hard cardboard. They have no cushion, and the sole doesn't bend whatsoever. And the weird rise on the outside of the sole digs into my toes when they slide forward. Such a weird design choice for an open toe sandal. Absolutely terrible comfort-wise. Too bad because these are cute (although the metal buckles are already showing wear, and they're brand new). I will say I was between sizes (normally a 9.5 or a 10) so I ordered both the 40 and 41, and surprisingly the 40 fit best.

Fit and size were great, but walking in them made loud flip-flop sound.

These cute sandals fit very well, even the narrow size worked with my medium-wide foot. However they slap against my heel when I walk in them making a "flip-flop" sound that can be heard a half a block away. Sorry to be returning them.

These fit smaller than my usual Birk size - they are not at all flattering on the foot, and the strap does not provide much stability at all. I really wanted these to wear in the house, and to walk the dog, but they are just not comfy, nor attractive. Sending back

I normally wear a size 5 and this was too big on me. Even when I adjusted the straps, I still felt like my feet slipped out when I walked. Liked the style, but had to return

I found these strange to walk in. The strap is too far up maybe. I love the other sandals from Birkenstock, just not these.

This shoe was incredibly uncomfortable.

For very narrow feet only. I've wanted a pair of these shoes for a long time, ever since my friend came back from Europe with a turquoise pair. Unfortunately they only make them in a narrow width for some off reason. They are very narrow. I have semi-wide feed but usually can get by with a normal width shoe. These were way too narrow. I don't understand why they don't make them in the standard width.

I hate these. I should not have even kept them, but I did, because hey, they are cuter/sleeker than the usual Birkenstocks, and I figured they would go with more things. But they are not comfortable. I figured I just needed to get used to wearing them, as sometimes happens with Birks, so I kept them. Then I realized I was wearing them because they were so uncomfortable. I forgot about them for a year or more and pulled them out recently and tried to wear them again. Still awful. For me, the problem is that they flop around too much with just the small strap over the toes, and they are either falling off or my toes are gripping too much trying to hold them on and I start getting cramps in my toes. This style of shoe would work ok if the rest of the shoe was not so stiff, but since it is, these are just a floppy, uncomfortable mess that don't stay on my feet. So trying to get the cuter style was a total fail for me. I gave them two stars because, well, they are still Birks so they somewhat better than flip-flops, but honestly I wear my old Nike slides a lot more than these.

I loved the price point of this shoe while looking for style and comfort; however, it's a flop of a flip flop...would work for house shoes I suppose, but for a woman on the go these shoes were way too loose for me. I went for Mephisto Helen Silver Star color, love the fit, the comfort and the style. Worth the extra money.

Now I know why Birkenstocks usually have two straps. Just the one strap hurts my instep.

I was happy to get these slip-on shoes until after wearing them for a week the inner sole started looking really worn and dirty. (I had not been wearing them anywhere to make them look so soiled. I believe the color of the lining along with foot moisture made them look really nasty.) They are also not nearly the quality of Birkie's which I have purchased from QVC in the past. Since the price was cheaper I believe some corners were cut. The inner lining and foot bed is thinner. I actually measured and they are 1/4 to 1/8 inch more shallow. Fortunately I purchased a second pair as a backup so at least I can have a decent looking shoe when I need to look nice, however I would not purchase this style again.

I wish that this style came with leather since the Birko-Flo material pilled up on the inside and became very uncomfortable. The only Birks I will get from now on will have leather straps.

Birko-Flor is a cheap substitute for what had been leather for years and it looks and feels cheap.

I was shipped someone’s returned item. You guys didn’t even bother to take the return slip out from the previous owner out of the shoe box.

Way too small and tight

These sandals are cute but I was very disappointed when I saw them in person. I knew the material wasn't leather, but it looks cheaper than expected and the buckle is flimsy - I thought it was plastic at first. Walking around my house they were not supportive enough for my high arches and my feet slid right out of them because the strap is too large despite them being the right size. I returned because they are just not good quality for the price.

These Birks are very uncomfortable. I have Birks and ordered same size etc. Tried adjusting straps but are uncomfortable yet. Trying again this spring but I cannot wear them.

Absolutely horrible shoe. Wore two days to work. I work in a cubicle, and got a huge blister on the top of my foot. Do not buy!
