I never new Birkenstocks could look streamline! I love that the shoes do not look wide and bulky, but they have all the comfort and support for a medium/wide foot. As with my previous Birkenstocks, they will need to be broken in so they fit true to my foot shape.

Very summer and cute, like Dr Scholl shoes in the old days but not as rigid. I had to return and order a size smaller. I think they come in narrow as well and will update if they work. The arch was not as great as other shoes but they are still good.

I do not like the separate toe bed. It was very uncomfortable. Other than that, fit was fine, style okay.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks, I had never tried a pair on before but they looked comfortable and are actually on trend right now so I wanted to give them a shot. While they fit true to size and you can adjust the strap for your foot width, the sole is not cushy, it is hard and solid and it kind of hurts to walk on them, but I think that's the idea, they mimick walking on solid ground? Perhaps that's good for your feet.. I don't know. I'm keeping them because they go with a lot of different outfits and because I think the more I wear them the more comfortable they will become. I probably need to read up on Birkenstocks and the concept behind them, I simply ordered them in a whim.

I'm in shock right now. I wore Birkenstocks in the '90s in high school and never thought I'd wear them again. But I was searching for a comfort sandal for my now picky feet (bunionettes) and saw all the positive reviews so I decided to give them a try. I'm always an 8 in sandals and 8.5 in sneakers, but I followed the reviews exactly and ordered down to a 38 Narrow. The size is perfect. I was worried about this style slipping off my feet, but they actually feel more secure than my flip flops. The leather is a bit stiff and digs into the top of my foot as I walk, but I know it will loosen with wear. I have a feeling these will be an amazing sandal once broken in! They're not exactly feminine or super attractive, but I'm starting to care more about comfort than fashion these days anyways.

These shoes are great! I am not a huge fan of the look of Birkenstock , but love the comfort. These shoes are both stylish and extremely comfortable!

I wanted to love these. Maybe it is because I have such big feet - size 10 - I thought the shoe looked much bigger than I imagined it would.

Most Birkenstocks are frumpy and hippie-ish, but my feet are just so happy to come home at the end of the workday, kick off my heels, and clomp around my kitchen in my massaging Birks. I had a pair of wool Bostons for winter, but the wool is sort of disintegrating, and, anyway, I wanted something for warm weather. Benefits: much cheaper than other Birkenstocks, fun retro-Dr-Scholls-type style, fantastic footbed. Drawbacks: single strap means these tend to flop off your feet, still look somewhat dorky Fit: true to size. Disagree with other reviewers who say to size down. I always wear a 38 euro, took a 38N in these. "Narrow" is more like "Medium" in normal shoes, while a Birk "Medium" is really a "Wide." My only complaint would be the instability of the single strap. I'm thinking I may have been better off with the Gizah, but that was much more expensive. Overall: comfy shoe for around the house, not so much for long walks or hiking due to the flip flop factor.

These shoes are a great deal for someone who wants Birks but doesn't want to spend a lot. The strap is not leather, which I assume is why they are more affordable. At first the felt like lining under the strap rubbed the top of my foot and irritated it. But my foot got used to it and now its fine. As with all Birks (this is my first pair) I learned they need to be broken in before you get your max comfort. Give it a few weeks, wearing them a few hours a day around the house and you will be rewarded for your patience. Great for pregnant lady feet, which is why I bought them in the first place. Reviews said they ran wide, so I ordered the narrow and it was a good fit for me. Not excessively narrow.

Usually wear a 9. Bought an 8.5 in narrow, black patent. Having a really narrow foot I put the strap to the tightest it would go. It fits. The 8.5 "just" fits. Now I need to walk around and see how the patent feels on my foot. I believe several reviews referred to the placing of the straps and not being able to keep the sandal on. If you're used to flip flops, you're used to grabbing with your toes and they stay on.

This is my very first pair -- recommended by close friends. They are very comfortable, but I'm still breaking them in at home before taking them out on the street.

These are just what I wanted. I love the patent leather on this otherwise very basic sandal. The single strap, of course, isn't ideal for a lot of walking, but the Birkenstock footbed is very comfortable and cool.

This "Birkie" is an excellent walking sandal that gives your legs a workout. I'm hoping in time I will see more toned legs! I like the black patent leather strap as that adds a bit of class to the look. The only negative I would say is that I have severe bunions (crooked vs. straight big toes) and this causes your foot to sit differently in the sole bed. However, it does not cause any pain or discomfort. I'm giving 4 stars because of the bunion situation.

I really like the fit and comfort of these sandals. I wondered about the width of the strap, I have short wide feet and didn't know if they would fit right but they are great. I only gave them 4 starts on overall because the color was not what I was expecting but I ordered them to wear around the house and in the garden. Birks are the best shoes if you are having trouble with arch support or feet that hurt. I only wear Birks now!

Know your size with Birkenstocks and you can buy without fearing size issues. If you want a shoe that doesn't make the smacking sound against the sole of your foot, this one's not for you. But it's so comfy.

Just got my feet into these super cute shoes - boy are they comfortable! I haven't had a pair of Birks in years, but when I did wear them my feet were never tired. I read through other reviews and decided to order a size down, which it turned out to be perfect. And here's a shout-out to Zappos, a most perfect company!

These sandals are great! Especially for the price! I would definitely say a narrow is more than adequate for wide feet. I typically have to buy a wide shoe, but the narrow is definitely big enough for me. In terms of size I normally wear a size 8.5 to 9 so based on other people's reviews I ordered a size 39 and they fit perfectly!

Sizing is misleading - I usually wear 6.5 regular. Zappos lists my size in Birkenstock as 37. They did not have a regular fit, so I ordered 37 narrow. The width was actually okay, but 37 is way too big. I think if you are size 6.5, you should order 36 regular. I loved the color of this pair. Simple, comfy and a bit elegant.

I have these in the brown patent and the silver. The silver is my favorite casual, go-to shoe in the summer, the material softened and was as comfortable as the traditional leather. The brown patent, however, has not softened so the shoe is not quite as comfortable, especially not for longish walks or all day wear.

Very comfortable and true to size. Had to return becuase the brown leather is darker than expected and the blue is not as vibrant as I wanted. Living in MN with only 4 months of warmth, I am looking for something more fun.

For Birkies, these are pretty spiffy-looking. They remind me of Easter and springtime. They do slip off easily, which is kind of a hassle.

The color is rich and very stylish. The shoe is not true to size - I wear a 6.5 and had to order a shoe for sizes 5-5.5, which I have not yet received. The arch support would have ranked higher if the shoe wasn't so big.

These are my first pair of Birkenstock shoes and I absolutely love them! I can walk in them all day without my feet getting tired. The raised edges make the shoe a little clunky looking, however they do keep my foot from sliding around in the sandal. I don't wear them with skirts or dresses, but they are definitely my new favorite shoes!

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I have to say, I thought they would be a lot more comfortable. The arch support is good, but my right foot doesn't conform to the shape of the preformed ridges in the toe area. I'm hoping I'll wear them in and the ridge will flatten out. Otherwise I like them. I wear a size 8 or 8.5 and the Euro size 39 fits well. I bought the golden brown and it is more gold than the photo shows, but still nice.

Comfortable. Got a blister and some irritation the next few wears after first wearing them. Never got that from my Arizonas. I wonder if it's the one strap and material. I wear a 9 1/2 med. and these fit well. They don't seem to have as much support as my broken in Arizonas. I have worn these for about 1 1/2 months and have stood in them and done regular walking--job (sped. teacher), errands, etc. I like them and would recommend them.
