These Birkenstocks are my very first. I have always wanted a pair but just never bought them. I am sorry to say these are too long and the leather straps across the the top of my foot are very rigid and have rubbed a blister on top of my foot. Sadly, I must return them, I am wondering if, perhaps the Rio style might be a more comfortable shoe for me since the strap across the top of the foot appears to be more distal, toward the toes rather than the arch. I ordinarily wear a 6-6.5 in women's shoes or a 4.5 in children's, so I ordered a 37. They are about an inch to long.

Overpriced and takes long to break in (seems at least 2 weeks needed of a one hour a day use before wearing for a longer period of time). After breaking in for a week and 10 hours of continuous use, ended up with scars on ankles and on top of foot where the buckles are.

I owned tatami Birks in the past and loved them. So I thought I would give these a try. I love the look, the cork foot-pad, and that they have a back heel strap. However, The top leather strap tore the skin from the tops of my feet off. I've tried tighter and looser fitting, doesn't matter. I don't recommend these.
