I bought these shoes for my 4.5 year old after suffering through blisters in cheap sandals. Not only does she find them extremely comfortable, but I think they're very durable. She's incredibly active and hard on her shoes and they're holding up great. I have some for my younger daughter too who struggles with the buckles (getting them both on and off) but at 4.5, she's totally capable of getting them on and off herself. I will buy them Birks every summer from here on out, I think.

Bought these for my 17 year old with small, wide feet. She needed a good walking sandal for a trip to New York City. These fit the bill! She could wear them with a dress or jeans. Never had a blister and were quite comfortable.

My daughter wears orthotics in her tennis shoes and she is encouraged to wear those every day because of the support. These sandals are the only ones her therapist recommended, so I have bought 2 pairs of them in different colors! They are perfect for dress or casual and run true to size. They are perfect sandals for summer, don't look bulky, and she receives compliments on them daily!

I'm actually a 20 year old who has very small feet and cannot fit into the adult Birkenstock sizes. I am typically a 5 in women's but the 34 fit me very well, was just a tad on the large side. Great support and style.

Awesome sandal. I buy lots of Birkenstocks and these were my daughters favorite. She never wants to take them off! She usually wears a 9.5-10 but the size 27 fit about a whole size bigger than her normal shoes (adidas, merrell, See Kai Run). If you want some extra room, order the normal size or size down for a more "perfect fit".

Love this sandal! My daughter is very particular with shoes but she loves the way the Birkenstock Rio fits and feels on her feet. This is a must for us every summer!

Adorable shoe! Love the patent pink color! My daughter measures a size 8.5W at Stride Rite, but needed a size 8 in this shoe.

These sandals are great for girls: lightweight, natural shape and support. They last very long and require minimal maintenance. They just size big, so order 1 size less than usual.

My daughter likes them, Mom and Dad like them. We've bought them in the past, exactly what we expected from Birkenstock!

I have had such a hard time finding sandals for my little girls (twins) that do not give them blisters or cut their feet from too-stiff straps. These Birkenstock sandals did neither of those things! My girls love them and didn't want to take them off. The straps are lined with some kind of material that makes them very soft. They run slightly big but you can you adjust the strap at both the toes and the ankle and it stays on just fine. I also purchased them in narrow width and they were still slightly big but not enough to be an issue. The bright pink color is also gorgeous and vibrant. I highly recommend these if you, too, are also looking for comfortable yet stylish sandals for your little girl.

Love the product. Did have problem with getting the right size shoe in spite of the fact I measured my daughter's foot and used the measuring chart. Had to end up getting two sizes smaller than what the chart indicated.

Really beautiful. bought them for my six year old. Both of us love everything about them except they run so big I have had to two sizes down!

My daughter is a toddler so 9 and I bought the 26 and the 27. The 26 is plenty room, almost could've gone down another size but decided to stick with the 26 hoping it would last a little longer. I usually don't spend this much on my kids' shoes because they are very hard on their shoes but this was money well spent. These shoes are high quality and durable. And on top of that my daughter loves them. She says they are so comfortable. Also, she loves that she has shoes like me. I don't have this same style in pink, of course but I have several pair of grown up Birkenstocks and she loves wearing them together:) Overall great shoe and I highly recommend for children and adults!

This is the fourth summer I have ordered this style of Birkenstock's for my 7 year old. They wear very well and always come in bright, fun colors that coordinate with many different outfits. They go with shorts, skorts, dresses and look great with some colored tights or socks in the fall. We have never had a problem with a break in period and form to the foot over time. As for Zappos shipping, as usual they rock! Order them one day and have them at my door the next! No other online retailer even comes close. I would definitely recommend these sandals and Zappos!

Perfect shoe for a little girl with flat feet! Solved the pronating foot problem. We bought two other pairs and school shoes in this brand! So happy.

Love this shoe! Gives great arch support and yet looks pretty. Looks great with dresses.

Runs wide quite wide so that my daughter's foot shifted around a fair bit, making the shoe's contours uncomfortable.

Loved them. My daughter has very flat feet which pronate. These shoes completely fix the problem while she's wearing them. This muted lavender is a great color that seems to go with everything.

Great arch support and very stylish - just pretty pricy for a kid's sandal.

These are classic: comfortable, solid and good quality. My tomboyish daughter refuses to wear sandals, but she's ok with these. The adjustment possibility on top of the toes is very helpful. The silver grey gives a stylish and feminine touch to this otherwise sturdy shoe.

Make sure you buy 1 size smaller! My daughter is wearing a size 10. The shoe sizing says a size 10-10.5 is 28. So I bought a 28 and 29. However, this sandal runs a whole size large. After several purchases and returns, we settled on the 9-9.5 or 27. I wish it had a fake buckle so my daughter (3.5 yr old) could get them on and off easier. Many shoes this size have velcro under the buckle.

My 9 year old loves these shoes. I did have to return these because the fit too perfect. I hope the next size up fits good enough so she has some growing room. I balked at the price, but finding kids shoes with real arch support is very difficult. These have it. Best feature though is the straps: the are completely lined with soft but sturdy felt. The glitter is sealed in so it will stay on too. My kids often destroy shoes before they out grow them and these look pretty sturdy - might even be able to donate these after she's done with them.

Love the way they look and the support and protection they give. Have a hard time figuring out which size works best.

Adorable but the footbed is taller than our other birkenstocks, causing my daughter to trip and stumble quite a bit. For reference, she is in a size 24, is 19-months old, and is getting ready for size 25. We have older sandals (hand-me-down from my oldest daughter) that are about 3-4 years old style that have a thinner footbed that doesn't cause her any tripping or falling down. I wish Zappos would add a feature so that I could upload a picture of the difference. These have been great for my older daughter who is now 5 wearing a 32. They last a long time, they are supremely comfortable, and I love that a younger child can not constantly take them on/off in the car! The buckles are easy enough for a 4-5 year old to work themselves.
