We just got these and I am thrilled. The quality is excellent and the style is adorable. Cushy footbed with lots of arch support and felt lined straps mean no blisters. They are comfortable right out of the box. My 3 year old is thrilled with them. They are so comfortable and great quality. I spent less than these on another brand shoes and they fell apart in 3 weeks. I can tell this pair will take us through the summer. A great purchase.

These are the only sandals my daughter will wear. I love that they have a bit of lip on the toe so it prevents the toe from being stubbed. This will be our 3rd pair of birks and they are well worth it. Very well made and stylish to boot!

My original intent was to order the metallic silver Arizonas in the next size up but then I discovered that they are no longer available. I was a bit disappointed but then realized that the Rio is very similar to the Arizona. I have always shied away from any sandal with an ankle strap because my daughter has very tiny ankles and finding a comfy fit has been impossible to find. With Zappos free shipping and returns I knew I had nothing to lose by ordering these and giving them a shot. I'm so glad I did!! My daughter loves them and guess what?!, the ankle straps aren't remotely an issue! These sandals fit perfectly in every way and look adorable on my daughter!! In true Birkenstock fashion, they are very comfortable and super cute!!! I'm basking in the cool Mom points I scored with my nine year old.

Love these sandals for my daughter! They are cute, comfortable and supportive! They do seem to run large, so I returned the first pair and ordered a second pair one size down. The smaller size fit perfectly.

I can't say enough about these Birks. This is our second pair (new pair each year) and they hold up to everyday wear and tear of a 4 yo. We have struggled with proper fitting shoes as my daughter has a bit of a Fred Flintstone foot, but these are just perfect. The do run a bit big, but at least she can wear them all season here and it lasts her into our winter vacation the following year.

These are very cute sandals! My eight year old loves them and says they are very comfortable. She has been wearing them around the house as slippers because it is still too cold to where them outside. They will be perfect for our trip to Mexico for Spring break. If we do lots of walking, I will know her feet are supported and comfortable. She is size 13-13½ and I ordered size 14. They fit great with some room to grow. They do not look too big. There is a little less than half an inch space between the sandals edge and her toes. Size 13 would have been a perfect fit (her toes just skim the top edges of the sandals) but if her foot grew at all from now to spring/summer they would be too small. The edge of the sandals go up just a bit. Both the toe strap and ankle strap are adjustable. The inside of the straps is lined with a very soft material so no painful rubbing. They are well made, cute and comfortable. We love them!

Love this sandal! I used to buy saltwater sandals for my daughter and wanted to try a different style and brand. This sandal is super comfortable and easy to buckle/unbuckle. The leather is soft so it didn't need any time to break in, not one blister on her feet. The arch support is also a good reason to purchase this sandal. My daughter is 8 so she plays hard in her shoes, they are very durable.

Very happy with these shoes. They're very comfortable and have great arch support, which is what I was looking for.

I love these Birks so much that we have purchased them twice! They hold up much better than other sandals. The instep has nice arch support and is slightly padded. My daughter never complained about these shoes being painful. The only drawback is a young preschooler will not be able to put on these shoes independently.

These are super stylish, light and comfortable! My little one loves them! Sizing warning: these run big - order a size down and you won't be disappointed!

My 10 year old daughter has long standing difficulty with her feet, and requires supportive footwear. It is really tough to find summer sandals that are supportive. These Birkenstocks are great. They have a bit of a feminine touch which helps her girly taste, and as for comfort, she says "They feel like my feet." Nothing better than that! I wish Birkenstock would do better at keeping shoe stores stocked with their shoes, however. We had a hard time finding a pair in her size in stock anywhere, and these were not her favorites - her favorites were sold out at Zappos. This was the only pair with an ankle strap that they had in her size. Thank goodness she likes them!

Perfect, goes with everything and will fit late spring into fall. Very active four year old and no blister from the start. Cleans easily too!

Love that these were available in narrow. My daughter loves that she can wear these to school with casual clothes or dress them up when needed.

All the reviews said this show ran big, but ours came and were a little short! But certainly adorable and a big hit with my 8 year old. Will try the size up and see if they are any better.

Excellent shoes for young kids. Very pretty, my daughter (4 year) loves them. The inner part of the strap is very soft and make the shoes very comfortable to wear all day long without hurting the feet not the ankle.

Love theses shoes! My little girl says they are the most comfortable shoes she has ever has. She has had many compliments on how pretty they look!

These are really cute and look to be beautifully made, as one would expect with Birks. They do run really, really big, though.

These sandals are awesome, comfortable, high quality and worth every penny. My daughter loves her sandals - in fact we bought 2 pairs (1 for each kid) and both girls love their Birkenstock sandals. They have a soft felt lining on the underside of the straps so they don't rub or irritate the kiddos feet. Excellent quality and worth the extra few dollars.

Got these sandals for my 10 year old daughter who has a wide foot. They fit great! Like any Birkis took about 1-2 wears to break them in. So I would recommend short wear times until they fit comfortable! Worth the time and money. My daughter says they feel comfy and supportive compare to all the flimsy flip flops!

I buy these for my daughter every summer. She loves them. She wears orthotics in her shoes, and these are great when she wants to wear a shoe that the orthotic can't go in. Zappos is the best!

I purchased these Rio Birkenstocks for my four year old daughter who just loves them. Make sure to order a size down. They hold up nicely. I just purchased her third pair. I just wish they had more colors.

Very cute! My daughter loves them and they are easy for her to manage the buckles on her own. She wore them immediately and has never complained about them hurting even once! They do run big - my daughter is between a 9.5-10 and I ordered these in a 26 (~8.5) and they're perfect.
