I really wanted to like these shoes. They fit great with a roomy toe box. I'm very disappointed because the front of the sole that wraps over the toe has started to come loose after only 30 days. They are stylish and very comfortable but I'm returning them as I don't expect the sole to start coming unglued so soon. These were my first hiking shoes and I put about 30 miles on them and never got them wet either.

These are a great all around shoe. I use them as a light weight hiker and everyday work shoe. The conditions I work in vary from driving to walk in dusty fields, to standing on a concrete floor. These shoes can handle it all. At the end of the day I have never felt like I could not wait to get my shoes off. One of the things I love is that they do not show dirt and are easy to clean up.

I've had these shoes for 18 months now and they are as good as they were the day I bought them. I have worn them 95% of the days that I've had them and they've held up great! Five stars.

I'm a 10 1/2 in a dress shoe and the 11 is perfect for me. My foot is a B width and the shoe is ample on the width. This is one of my favorite shoes in the Oboz line, the comfort is excellent. Not only does the shoe feel engineered to your foot the comfort under foot is perfect, not "squishy" just comfortable. The only negative I would report is that the small rubber bumper like piece glued to the front of the shoe came unglued on both shoes. A little glue will solve this. For overall comfort this shoe is it.

I've had these shoes for about 2 months now. Ive used them on several day hikes, leisure walks and around town. I feel they stick very well to most all surfaces. They are light on your feet and don't drag you down after hours of climbing and scrambling. The soles look new and don't wear quickly. In fact I bought the Valhalla at the same time and can't bring myself to wear them, I like the Sawtooths that well. I bought these to replace Vasque Velocity. I will be traveling to Yellowstone in a few weeks for a 10 day trip, I feel I will not need a backup for these shoes. As far as sizing, they run a shade larger. I use Smartwool socks so this is welcomed. Zappos is top notch, this is the 3rd time using them. I forgot I was a VIP when I ordered. I also didn't think it really meant anything. Well they didn't forget, I received my shoes the next day. Oh and I didn't pay anymore for that either. Incredible service right there. Hard to find these days.

Comfortable, excellent shoe in design and from what I can determine - durability. I required the purchase of an additional shoe insert for better arch support.

I just bought my 2nd pair of these Oboz Sawtooths. I wear a 10D and the first pair had to be exchanged for a 10 1/2 which fit me perfectly. So you may have to go up a half size, but you'll be glad you bought these shoes - They fit like a glove, are easy to tighten and are really comfortable - I forget I have them on. I've been a Vasque wearer for years, and they are great shoes, but I believe that these Oboz are their equal or better.

This shoe rocks! First time owning Oboz and will probably never have to buy another pair. I hiked and rock climbed for 5 days in Canyonlands and Arches N.P. Shoes gripped on every surface and were incredibly comfortable. I whitewater rafted and got them completely soaked. I was afraid I ruined them (not supposed to be completely waterproof) but after getting home and putting a couple of rags inside them they were like new overnight. No wetness or dampness inside the shoe. The shoe does seem a little roomier in the toe area than normal. Thanks Zappos and Oboz!

These shoes seemed too high cut for my ankle, taking time to break in, but that was me, may not be so for everyone. Once the break in was over they were comfortable and supportive, however the soles were not good on wet surfaces. My only real gripe with these was the soles broke down too rapidly. I wore for daily 1 hr walks and both the supportive insole and outsole broke down within 4 months. Way too fast for shoes costing this much, imo.

So far, so good. I really like these. I'm a home inspector and on my feet all day. I need shoes with great support, breathable and a firm grip.

Keen used to be my go-to hiking shoe --but these shoes will replace that practice. I find that they fit really well, seem to be lighter and I prefer the ankle height on these. While I have had them only 30 days or so, they appear to be holding up quite well. Would recommend to anyone --including Keen converts like me.

The fit seemed to be just fine. This was my first pair of non-Keen hiking shoes and used my size in Keen's to guess my size in a pair of Oboz. worked out perfectly.

My second pair of Oboz. I’m 52 years old and an avid runner/walker, putting in ~90 miles/week. I have intermittent foot pain so I’ve tried numerous pairs (...and returned numerous pairs, thank you, Zappos. You’ve ruined me for any other retailer, period) of shoes. Oboz offers support and build that simply do not cause me pain. I don’t know how they do it, but they sure do. I wish they lasted a bit longer, but you can’t have everything, and maybe it’s a necessary compromise for the fit and comfort. Highly recommend.

This is probably the 4th or 5th pair of oboz that I have owned. (One pair was actually stolen from the locker room on my first wearing!) These are the best shoes I've ever owned and I have recommended them to many of my friends who have also bought them. Comfortable, well constructed and long lasting. I can't say enough positive about these shoes!

This shoe wins the prize for feeling like it was custom made me the minute I put it on. I wear 10 medium and it fit like a glove. Another plus is how easy it is to tighten the laces - just one pull and all the laces tighten up together - not like many other shoes in which you have to tighten them one pair at a time, starting at the bottom. I look forward to many comfortable hikes in my first pair of Oboz shoes. And how can you beat Zappo's one day delivery - amazing !!

out of the box these shoes were amazing! No issues. True to size and, so far, no breaking in necessary. These truly feel like old school Merrell’s.

I am impressed with Oboz Sawtooth shoes. I bought the wide and they fit perfectly right out of the box. Walk daily these shoes are very kind to my feet. And getting them from Zappos was quick and easy. Thanks, Zappos!

I have wide feet and a few Oboz styles come in E, including the Sawtooth Low. I've been frustrated that Keen's Targhee II doesn't come in wide, so wearers of Keens (which vary so much between their stated and actual widths) may like this Oboz option. Now Oboz needs to issue Sawtooth pewter and other styles in E - let there be more competition!

These are very comfortable, like a good running shoe. Lots of traction, too. I guess that's why they call them 'Sawtooth'. Did I mention how comfortable these are? They are also good looking which is not a quality found in other hiking boots. These keep my feet going on the trails all day long. I use them as everyday shoes too. I sprayed them with waterproofing to try to keep out the water without going up to the waterproof or Gor-Tex model. Might breath better this way.

Best hiking shoe ever! Love my Oboz Sawtooth. Feel great on your feet and you never get tired with them on. I've taken them on 17 mile round trip hikes, worn them to work all day, put them through trail runs on dirt, rock, snow, pavement (!) you name it - they can take it. They look sharp and are fantastically comfortable. Can't say enough about them. I've bought several pairs and am preparing to buy yet another. As long as Oboz keeps making them this good, I'll keep going back to them!

They fit and feel like Merrell's of old. Solid comfortable footbed, rugged outsole and breathable. They run big so I would recommend selecting 1/2 size smaller than you normally would wear.

The shoes arrived extremely fast to my APO address. I only tried the shoes on and so far they feel and look great. Shoe construction looks well made and the color is great. Shoes are light weight. Hope they will last a year in the extremely hot desert environment that I am in. If not, I will definitely post another review.
