Great shoes; a little stiff and uncomfortable for the first few days but after the break in they feel great. I get dry feet even on a day like today, where the flood warnings are present. I suggest to anyone looking for a comfortable pair of waterproof shoes. Hopefully they'll hold up in the winter.

I got these all weather sneakers to replace a pair of Vasque (which have got to be the worst shoes ever made). The NB1520 feels a bit strange in size. It's only made in d and 43 width. Since I have flat feet, I have to settle for the extra width. Comfort wise, it seems okay though I always add an extra comfort insole to all my shoes anyways. Have worn these in extremely wet weather - everything got wet except my feet. It's a nice looking pair of sneakers to boot.

I like the shoes appearance. I wear orthothics in my shoes and find the toe area to be too pointed. I wish it were more rounded in the toe area. The shoe laces are always coming undone.I always have to stop and tie my shoes, frustrating. Kiwi shoe laces are the best.

This is my second pair. I walk on a regular basis and I put a lot of miles on the first pair before the heel began to separate. They do size on the tight side. Once I got the right fit, they felt great.

Hmm...lots of reviews here with people complaining that the size/width is smaller than what they are used to with other New Balance shoes. I hope these people realize that NB makes shoes on MANY different lasts and a 10 4E from one last WILL NOT fit like a 10 4E on another. NB makes shoes that will fit virtually anyone, you just gotta do a little research to figure out which lasts will work for you. Now about the shoe...I think it looks great with an outdoor-techy kind of appeal, and they fit my feet very well. I have not had a real chance to test how waterproof they really are, but based on the build quality, they should do fine. My only complaint is the price. They are not more expensive than others of this type, but it’s just a lot of money for a pair of shoes.

As always Zappos customer service is first rate. Knowing that my shoes will get there overnight and that I can return them for free if they don't work out makes buying shoes infinitely more convenient and opens up a huge selection. Again, thank you Zappos. You're the only place I can get a good selection of extra wide shoes. My only complaint is with the width of the shoes themselves. This is a New Balance issue, not a Zappos one. These are 4E, but they are just not as wide as other 4E's I've purchased.

I like these shoes, but better get 'em 1 size bigger. I did because of previous reviews and they fit perfect with great arch support! My only disappointment is the tongue/shoelace isn't cupped with gortex. Water into tongue/shoelace area will get your socks wet.

As reviewed by others the shoe is 1/2 size small so order bigger than usual. It is very comfortable with good support. The sole is stiffer than usual, which I like a lot.

Besides being a little hot (in warmer weather) the shoes have been great so far. I've worn them 6 times now. I have narrow feet and they fit great. I've walked in the rain and wet grass and my feet have stayed perfectly dry. They are stylish and comfy.

Sadly I bought them a size too small and wore them outside before I really realized that they weren't going to stretch. I can't return mine but they don't fit well. There's nothing wrong with them per se. Just use caution in sizing. I've been wearing NB shoes for years and always get the same size. This time it didn't work out so well.

Until I purchased this shoe I had never had a problem with the fit of New Balance shoes. Always get 13 4E and they typically fit great, this shoe is atypical of New Balance shoes, though advertised as a 4E width it is definitely NOT as wide as other New Balance shoes the same size. I am quite disappointed in the fit of these shoe though the style and design for the type of hiking I am now doing is great. If I could I would return these shoes but I have already worn them out in the hills, guess I was hoping that they would be like a typical New Balance 4E width - unfortunately they are not.

I love New Balance, I love them because they are one of the only shoe manufacturers to respect the fact that I have a wide foot but New Balance missed the mark with this shoe. When I put my right foot into this shoe, it feels like a glove, I love it. When I put my left foot in, I have the sudden urge to punch whoever is nearest, square in the nose. My left shoe feels like it is a completely different width, and there is no stretch to it whatsoever. I have probably done 60 miles on my elliptical to break them in, and the left shoe is still just as uncomfortable as the first time I put it on. This shoe was one of my few options for a Gore-Tex shoe, and still remains the best option. I tried on the other NB GTX shoes and they were 10x worse. What happened to my old comfy New Balance...where did you go?

This is my second pair of New Balance MO1520. The prior pair were non GoreTex - very comfortable and durable. My most recent pair were with GoreTex. They seem a little heavier and stiffer. After wearing them for a while, I felt uncomfortable pressure in the area of my left foot near the outer topmost lace eyelet. On close inspection, I found a defect in the manufacture; a wrinkle sewn into the fabric, creating the pressure. I was able to cut away the wrinkle - now they are comfortable - almost as comfortable as my first pair. If you buy a pair, inspect it very closely on receipt.

Narrower than you'd think - For years I've found solace in NB 9.5 4e shoes, knowing they'd fit my wide dawgs when none else would. These shoes are a departure from that pattern - way narrower than any other 9.5 4e's, including my last pair - a pair of MT1110's, which use the SL-1 last. Look cool, but not as wide as earlier shoes...

Sizing at least half size small. Look good, but I had to return because they were way too small despite being same size I have worn many, many NBs before. Beware.

NB boasts of manufacturing in the US. Thats why I tried this shoe. But the shoe is made in China. Feels like a bit of a trick, and I don't appreciate deceptive advertising

These shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owner - they fit great! However, they are NOT WATERPROOF! The first pair I bought leaked. The second pair I received when I returned the original pair also leaked! It's a shame because they are great in other respects. If you're looking for a comfortable outside activity shoe, these are for you; conversely, if you're looking for a waterproof shoe, you're wasting your money!
