This is the 6th pair of MR883 New Balance tennis shoes have purchased. I started at MR 880...about every 18 months NB makes a couple of changes...goes from 880 to 881 and on. This is the first time I purchased from Zappos.com and it was so easy. From now on Zappos.com, here I come!

Have owned these for a couple of days, since a my last pair of casual NB had been making my flat feet condition worst (even with the orthotics). Thus far the flatfeet soreness has calmed down quite a bit. I don't feel as if am aching (and waking up on the morning I without any aches is great). I will follow up with another review once I have had a month with them.

Great fit and style. The light weight will be perfect for summer. Love the shoe laces that stay tied! The narrow width is perfect. Hard to find B width.

I love these shoes. True fit. Very comfortable. Actually the width that they say they are rather than being too small and too tight. And they look good, too.

Service was great! So nice not to have to run around stores looking for wide width! They fit perfectly and came quickly!

I have run in New Balance for 20 years, and Zappos is now my sole source. I expect frustrations elsewhere, and Zappos consistently surprises me with more than I expected. The last time I ordered them at 10:00 PM and they arrived the next day. I thought they had fallen through a warp in the time space continuum. No, it was a courtesy shipping upgrade. Thank you, Zappos!

If you have flat feet -- and I mean, if you look down at your feet and think "Fred Flinstone", and you wear custom orthotics (prescribed by a Podiatrist), then look no further. These accommodate orthotics well and are comfortable to boot. You'll like them. If you look for other NB shoes, look for SL2 lasts. They fit us flatfoots. However, the 1123 is really too much shoe for someone wearing corrective orthotics -- they're already correcting your gait, so you don't need that kind of artificial support anyway. The 1123's are comfortable, but heavy and not as flexible as the 883's. Give the neutral a try. I tried nearly everything NB makes, and these were what I've settled with.

Great shoes, truly neutral. I\'m tired of wearing shoes that try to force me to walk on a certain part of my foot. The wider toe box is great too. This is the first pair of shoes I\'ve ever had that doesn\'t pinch my toes. Because of this I probably could\'ve gone with a EE instead of 4E. The only drawback is that these should be available in solid black to be worn as regular shoes. If you think your feet are fine and that shoes are the problem, then these shoes are for you.

I have had several pairs of New Balance shoes in the past. This model gives one a wider, softer-feeling platform and is most comfortable to wear over longer periods. Two especially good points: there is excellent air transmission through more sections of the top of the shoe giving good air exchange. Secondly, the new shoe laces that don\'t have to be double-knotted to remain closed. These have an ingenious new design which keeps them tied. An excellent, recommended shoe.

I've been running in these shoes (or a version of them) for many years -- that makes it easy to buy via the net. I ordered two pairs and they are perfect. I ordered them on a Monday afternoon and received them the next day on Tuesday morning -- less than 24 hours. I don't want to buy all my stuff on the internet because I live in a neighborhood; I want those stores to stay open and I want the people in my neighborhood to have jobs. But my local New Balance store decided to get weird (with service and hours) and Zappos is a company who gives amazing service and deserves my money.

This is excellent footwear. It was and is very comfortable, and I think they look great. My 8 EEEE feet appreciate them. Zappos is terrific.

These aren't Saturday night styling shoes. Rather, they're a bit old school and clunky but they are extremely comfortable. I have a very wide toe box and have some hammer toe issues. This shoe gives me room and yet there's no heel rising. I'm in the process of switching to Vibram 5-Fingers for workouts and these give me the cushioning for the alternate days of rest for my feet. Very good walking shoes and a tiny bit heavy for running. Now, with many New Balance lasts offering less toe box space, this is a great option. It's not real ugly but it won't win a fashion award.

Everyone calls me flipper feet. I have flat, wide feet, my right foot is more then 1/4 larger then left foot. New Balance are the only sneakers that are true to the stated size and width. I put them on and they feel great from the first day. They also are built great and last a long time.

I bought these for my father who was having foot pain due to his flat feet. They were the best investment for him because he no longer has the pain and he is back to walking for his exercise. They were true to size and have a nice footbed that can easily accomodate arch supports. I have since bought him a second pair because he loved them so much.

I wear a mans narrow "B" width shoe. Narrow shoes are not stocked at most franchise shoe stores. Zappos carries all name brand fashion shoes in all widths. If it does not work out, Zappos is their to make a quick and painless return or exchange. I no longer shop the retail "brick & mortar" stores. Zappos has me covered.

Bought these for my husband and he is very pleased. He has a very wide foot so we ordered a 2E and 4E (since Zappos is so wonderful w/ returning) and the 4E fit great. It is so hard to find shoes that are wide so this was a great find. Thanks again Zappos!

Another very satisfied experience courtesy of Zappos. I returned a pair of shoes (poor fit) and reordered another brand. The new shoes were here in two days. Zappos does what they say they will do. Thank you!

One of the best fitting walking shoes I had in a long time. Nice roomy toe box which accommodates thick cushioned socks. True to size and width.

I love New Balance because the make the only running shoes that are wide enough for my feet. Although these shoes fit fine I starting getting shin splints after running just a couple of miles and my knees also started hurting. On my next couple of runs I reverted to my old and very worn-out New Balance MR850's and the shin splints and knee problems were gone. I think the MR850 is a "stability" shoe where this is a "neutral" shoe and so it could be that I simply bought the wrong type of shoe. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them now, but I will be ordering a new pair of MR850s.

I was told by New Balance that this shoe, the 883, replaces the previous 881 and should fit and feel the same. It does not. It fits larger and is not nearly as comfortable as the previous 881. Truly disappointing.

Currently wearing 881's. These 883's toe box is much longer. The whole shoe is longer and it hinders my stride. Returning.
