Shoes are more comfortable than they seem. As a teacher, I am able to wear these during the day without discomfort. They look great with jeans and dresses. I ordered the black and like them enough to order another color in the future. This new Born brand has impressed me so far.

Great Shoe! I highly recommend these shoes. I wore them to a party...which I was on my feet all night and they were sooo comfortable. I got several compliments on how good they looked. 5 stars all the way!!

Dress and Comfort in One Package - Two years ago, I bought a pair of black leather Naturalizers with the platform and wedge heel that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, they now squeak when I walk, so I don't like to wear them often. Enter the Alcala II as a replacement. Just received these this afternoon, and I'm already in love. Nice and stable, with good cushioning and straps that don't rub. And, while I don't always like to spend this much on a pair of shoes, previous jobs have taught me the importance of good shoes. So, if you're looking for a good, comfortable work sandal with a heel, I'd say these are worth the investment! Note on fit: I normally wear a 7 1/2 narrow. Due to past Born purchases, I knew to buy a 7, rather than an 8. So, while I say that it runs true to size, the 7 may be a little narrower than expected for others.

Love these sandals! I purchased the same style when they were made under the Bolo brand. The ones made by Born are just as comfortable, fit perfectly, and are actually less expensive! These durable sandals are so comfortable I even wore them during a day at a theme park.

Best shoe for spring/summer 09!! A neutral platform sandal is the shoe for all the spring colors and looks!! I can wear this shoe ALL day because comfort level is great. I will probably wish I had purchased 2!!

Awesome sandal - Wow. This is one beautiful shoe. Fits pretty much true to size. Don't size down at all though. I sometimes take a half size smaller in a sandal but I didn't size down for this & glad I didn't. This is a perfectly designed shoe. The shape is very complimentary to the foot. Feminine. Perfect heel height for walking without having to think about walking. Very comfortable right out of the box. Bonus: comes with two very cool drawstring shoe bags.

Cute and comfortable. I wish they came in half sizes, but I'm okay in the next size up.

Love these shoes! Very stylish and have a great cushion. Great option for those of us who don't wear heels a lot but need comfort when we do. The only downside is that the bottom is so skid resistant that they make it difficult to dance in. But that didn't stop me from buying them in several colors!

These shoes are absolutely gorgeous! I had to return them though because the strap across the front was too loose for my foot.

These are darling and very comfortable shoes. I have wide feet but these are too wide for me. With so few straps for support it really does need to fit a little more snugly. Maybe they should have made the straps adjustable. They would have been perfect then! I am sad to say, back they go.

These are nice looking, but they are best for someone with wider feet. My medium foot slid right through.

I got the Rame Metallic and love the color. It's a nice soft gold that could be worn with everything. The footbed is nicely cushioned and overall the shoe seems quite comfortable. However, I will have to return them because my right foot (which is my slightly larger foot) pushes towards the front too much leaving space in the back of the shoe while my toes are way too close to the edge in the front. The left foot was perfectly fine so it's probably an issue due to my right foot and not the shoe itself. Sad to have to send these back.

Really like the look of these shoes, just the right amount of heel as I don't like too much. Only one issue, I have narrower feet and they were too loose to feel secure while walking. Had to return as I didn't want to slip out of them.

I recently received my black pair of these, and they fit very, very loose at the strap by the shoe. It's hard to even walk in them. I think it is a fluke pair, because I have the same exact ones in brown, same exact size and all (38/7) and they fit amazing; very comfortable & I can wear them an entire day. That is why I bought these. So, just wear them around the house to make sure you got a good pair that fits. I wore them outside the 1st time because I didn't ever imagine they would fit differently than my brown ones, and now I cannot return them. If you get a good pair that doesn't have a crazy loose strap, you might love them.

Yes, my feet did slip forward in these sandals. Just the look I wanted, not the fit for the price! My other Born sandals from last year have the same problem. Also the heel was slippery hard plastic. Otherwise, Born is very good for wide feet.

Click on Zappos and buy a pair in every color! I love wearing 4+ inch heels but frankly sometimes my feet need a break. These sandals are stylish and super comfortable. They might not be the best for wide feet but they fit me perfectly.

I purchased these sandals because I wanted a nice comfortable sandal I could wear with a nice dress and also be able to walk in, since I was going on vacation I did not want to take a pair for every occasion. I was very happy, these sandals look good with anything, dress, shorts and linen pants and they are so comfortable. Worth every penny.

The size 8 is too big for me. I generally wear a 7-1/2 so I wasn't sure which size I would need. The 7 fits well and is very comfortable.
