These are great comfortable shoes. If you like or need the rounded bottom shoes, these are the best I have bought.

Very comfortable. Took only a couple of days to get used to. I would get another pair.

These shoes are quite remarkable. They are not too difficult to get accustomed to. The most unusual thing is standing still, where you tend to rock forward. The bottom line is that they do build up your legs very quickly. I would most definitely recommend them.

For about three years I've been trying Zappos patience by returning 3 out of 4 pairs of shoes ordered and received, in my pursuit of one that looked good, was super comfortable, and really fit. Last week it came at last, the Tembea!

The Mink Tembea (not the other colors) had a fatal flaw for me. They have a thin, but hard, black synthetic toe cap; this looks great, but it caused the toe of the shoe to crease right on top of my big toe. I also bought the Chocolate color, which did not have this problem. I suspect this review will appear under all three colors, so let me say that the Chocolate color is outstanding. It feels similar to the Bia, my favorite shoe of all time, with a firmer base than some other MBT styles. I don't what I'll do if MBT ever stops making shoes, since these shoes cured my 2.5-year case of plantar fascists and made walking fun again. Also, they fit my wide, high-arched, spade-shaped foot -- something almost no other shoes can do. MBTs are not good for uneven surfaces (hiking, even rocky dirt paths), due to their intentionally unstable construction. If you buy them, watch the video that comes in the box and try to emulate the walking style you see there, which is more upright and smoother than the forward-leaning, chunk-a-chunk-a walk we've all learned from walking in shoes with heels.

I get a lot of compliments on this shoe. It's a little heavy, but very comfortable. Only problem was shipping. I paid for 2nd day air and it took a week for them to arrive. Otherwise everything was positive. Also there are a lot of fake mbts out there. If you see that they ship through EMS avoid using that site. Mark

Super cush! Little heavy, bulky. Very durable and just as comfortable. The roll-sole action is a little getting used to, but it does wonders for firing atrophied muscles and proprioception. Oh, the fit on this shoe feels custom-made, wonderful!

I wondered about these shoes. Sure enough, you have to balance yourself, I could feel my legs ache a little. I haven't lost any weight. The one thing that did impress me was the weight of this shoe. They are built like a brick s@!t house. Very sturdy. Got stuck in Mass in a Nor'easter. Good snow shoes, a little less on ice. I will buy them again.

Bought these for my husband who cannot seem to get enough of the MBT shoe! He is a physician and has chronic back pain from surgery and hard floors. MBT makes him feel better. These are great casual shoes, perfect with jeans or any casual pant. Nice rich brown, killer comfortable...but pricey. Remember, Zappos.com will let you return them if they don't fit! What do you have to lose?

I have had my first pair of MBTs for about five weeks. They are the only shoes that I wear now. I love the feel of walking in these shoes. It did not take any time to break in the shoes or my muscles when I first wore these shoes. \r\n\r\nI\'ve had nagging foot pain for about 5 years and have bought probably two dozen pairs of shoes over that time trying to find a pair that let me walk without pain. I walk about 5 miles a day and love these MBTs. So far, I\'m very happy with the quality as well as the comfort after over 100 miles. I don\'t need inserts which I have used with most other shoes.

Tembea's are sized like a sneaker. Took a little getting use to, but are great on the lower back.

Instant posture and gait improvement for a friend with Parkinson's disease. Practical styling with a contemporary edge. You will walk farther, faster and not want to wear other brands other than MBT! If you have a friend, parent, spouse who winces at spending money but needs a physical boost give them MBT's and they will perk up!

Great shoe!! I had my right ankle fused as a result of a foot crush from an auto accident. 21 years and multiple surgerys later I have a degenerative arthritic foot and ankle. To say the least I have a few problems with walking. Well, with this shoe (2nd pair of MBT) I can walk all day and be pain free. As the instructions that come with the shoe it took a few days or a week to break in and get used to but after that I am SOLD on MBT. I will be getting my 3rd pair soon!

I waited long for this style in my size. It was worth it. As expected, they feel and fit exactly like the Safiri, (same sole pattern) with the color, materials and look I had wanted. Like all my MBT\'s, these have the therapeutic value I need.

Great Shoes -
I just started wearing the MBT shoes at work and found them to be very comfortable, and so I bought a pair to wear when I'm not working. The Tembea are a good looking shoe, the leather is very thick. I bet these shoes last a long time.

This is my husband’s second pair of MBT's and his favorite so far. He works as an RN in a busy emergency room and has plantar fasciitis in both feet. He started out a skeptic when I bought him the first MBT's but it didn't take long and he got a second style so he could wear them every day. He actually really likes the looks of this style and gets many compliments.

A GREAT SHOE -
The Tembea provides comfort and style and it fits true to size. A wonderful shoe for casual or business casual dress that will keep your feet from hurting all day and into the night.

Wonderful shoes -
I had recently had major surgery on both feet to repair a congenital deformity. The recovery was long and painful. I bought these shoes because I vowed that, with my lifelong foot problems, I would never buy cheap shoes. So... these are spendy, but they feel amazing. It takes a day or so to get used to them, but once you get the hang of them, you feel like you're walking on air. You feet never tire. The only caution is that they need to fit snugly. I returned my first pair because they were 1/2 size too big and I felt like I was swimming in them.

This is a great product and very comfortable to wear. It actually looks really good for this type of shoe. Zappos did a great job on delivery and it arrived in good shape.

The shoes feel great and my feet felt great wearing them. However, normally my feet are supinated and these shoes correct that whether you want them to or not - which in my case caused knee pain. In hindsight, I would have gradually increased wearing time each day.

I bought this shoe, because after trying it out, it was worth the price tag. I generally try to avoid buying Chinese made products, but since my work requires a great deal of indoor walking, I needed this shoe. It performs great, it does what it was designed to do, BUT the fit & finish is pretty bad. I have & have owned many pairs of shoes, and this is the first one that has costed SO much & lasted so little. I've owned them since 05/09 & now 8 months later they literally look like I've had them for years..... My point is that, they DON'T hold up well. I am satisfied with the feel, but the quality of the materials used, just isn't there.... My other work shoe pair is a dressy loafer which I've had for nearly 5 years (the MBT was supposed to replace it), made in Brazil...& after 5 years they look better than my MBT. Ultimately, I like how the shoe feels, but I'm not sure that I want to drop that much money once a year and throw these out...

I work on concrete for most of the day, and suffered from very bad foot pain. I had tried many other shoes and insoles, and the MBTs have cured the foot pain. Not that my feet don't ever get sore, but I do not wake up in the morning with pain anymore and my feet feel so much better. They did take some break in time for my legs and feet to get adjusted to them. It took me about three weeks to really start to feel a difference. I now wear them every day and love them. Worth the money to get rid of my foot pain.

I was disappointed in the Tembea. I have had a pair of Sports for a couple of years now and they are my go-to footwear. Although they made a big design mistake in the Sports by using aluminum eyelets which cause the laces to go black, the Sports are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. The Tembea on the other hand, not so much. The second I put on the Tembea there was a whole different feel from the Sports and not a good feel. One shoe had a stiff negative camber to it and both felt as though they had much stiffer soles than the Sports. Other than that the ventilation eyelets on the sides aren't as attractive as originally thought. They were sized just fine. Zappos is great, buy 'em, try 'em and return 'em if they don't work.
