I never write reviews. But after purchasing my first MBT pair 2 months ago, I feel compelled to spread the good news! This brand is a must-try for anybody that needs to be on their feet for long periods of time. I work in a retail setting and need to be on my feet all day long. I usually get a lot of heel pain if I'm on my feet for anything more than a couple hours. However, this is the first shoe that I've tried where I'm not wincing in heel pain at the end of an on-my-feet-for-8-hours-straight day! I'm petite and usually wear a 5.5, but the smallest size they carried is a 6. I have orthotic insoles from Footshox that I use with my MBTs which make for a perfect fit. It did take a couple days to break in around the sides where the straps cross over, seemed narrow around the opening. It also took me about a week to get used to walking in the shoe. I don't think I ever felt any soreness from my muscles, so not sure if I see any benefits in the toning part yet. I have worn them out when I take my dog for walks and do notice that the heavy shoe does make for some extra resistance. The shoe seems a little bulky looking on me (maybe because I'm short), but not as much as other MBT styles (I'm sure that just comes with the technology of the shoe). But I have received many compliments on the shoes which actually surprised me. To me the purchase was definitely more for comfort vs. style, and worth it! Will be saving up for more pairs! Zappos has the best service and won't purchase shoes online anywhere else.

This was my first purchase with Zappos and I have to say it will not be my last; shipping was quick, customer service was very helpful and you cant beat free shipping both ways. This was my first MBT purchase, the shoes were recommended by my podiatrist and PT. I recently suffered a dislocated kneecap as well as suffer from plantar fasciitis. The shoe was very comfortable. I am a teacher and on my feet a lot, at the end of the day my feet don't hurt. MBTs have a lot of body benefits; it's amazing how a comfortable shoe can make such a huge difference! I did order a half size up as recommended. I definitely recommend Zappos and MBTs.

The mighty MBTs: are they really worth the money? I had been thinking about buying a pair for a while and finally bit the bullet when I developed plantar fasciitis a couple months ago. This style looked the least strange, so I thought I'd try them out. Here are my observations after having worn them now for about 2 months: 1) Workout: I know a lot of people say MBTs are the most comfortable shoes ever, but I feel like a shoe can't be the most comfortable pair you've ever owned if they make you work out when you wear them. I don't mean this as a negative thing, but I feel like these definitely do work out your legs and I sometimes got a little tired from wearing these all day. (I'm a relatively fit 32 year old.) That being said, it's a good thing to get kind of a passive workout so that's not a terrible thing. I haven't noticed a difference in my posture or butt/legs, but now I don't mind so much standing and waiting for things (like the train), because I can rock back and forth on the soles and feel like I'm at least engaging the muscles in my calves. 2) Style: The style of these shoes is not as bad as the other MBTs because the bottom of the sole is much less rounded than other MBT styles. (I should know, I ordered 10 different kinds.) I would think you would get a better workout with the more rounded soles, but the trade-off for looks was worth it to me. I'd say most men who saw me wearing these shoes thought they were pretty dreadful, but most women that saw them (including me) thought they were pretty cute for being MBTs, for whatever that's worth. I wear them to and from and sometimes at work, though only when I'm feeling very informal. They are definitely not dressy enough for typical office wear, but are far better than the other styles if you want to try to get away with it. 3) Fit: The fit of the shoe is a little odd. The front of my feet are wide and my heel is average size. I find these shoes slightly tight at the front of my feet (expected), but pretty loose around the middle and towards my heels. I have to tighten the straps as far as they will go when I walk in them so they don't flop off my feet, but I have to loosen them when I'm sitting down for a while. Not ideal. 4) Comfort: Totally average. I didn't find the footbed to be all that cushioned. It's not like owning a pair of actual "comfort" shoes, if that's what you're looking for. My feet (specifically, my toes and, oddly, underneath my big toe) hurt when I wear these too long. I developed pretty painful blisters the first couple times I wore these (as did my coworker with the same pair). To prevent the leather from rubbing against your heels or ankles, I would recommend wearing not-socks or using a friction block stick until you break them in. 5) For plantar fasciitis (PF): My podiatrist thought it might be a good idea for me to buy a pair when I developed PF. I have to say, wearing these shoes does not aggravate it, which is great. I don't know if they make it any better, but this is one pair of shoes that I can usually wear without any discomfort in terms of the PF. The MBT website says not to wear their shoes with orthotics, but I tried it anyway just to see. Even though I bought a half size larger than usual, which fits me fine or is even a tiny bit big, wearing the orthotics made my toes feel cramped so I took them out. Hope this is helpful to anyone who's considering buying these. When all is said and done, I'm not sure I think these MBTs live up to all the MBT hype, but they are the cutest of the bunch, have been good for my PF, and have been pretty wearable for me.

This is my third pair of MBTs and I can highly recommend them to anyone who suffers with back pain as I do. I stand 8 to 10 hours a day during work and MBTs help me do that with almost no back pain. Although I like the Changa, I did notice it seems to have a lower sole and isn't quite as cushiony as the Kaya. The Changa is dressier and more flexible, though. I always buy a size larger in MBTs as I find they run small.

These shoes are okay. They are quite comfortable. The straps have tiny buckles that make it difficult to put the shoes on quickly. They are cute, but would be much cuter in another color and without the rubber tennis-shoe like reinforcer on front. If you want a comfortable, uber casual shoe and have clothes that will go with the color, they are a good choice.

The upper part of these shoes, the leather part, is so hard! I wore them for 3 days straight, and they felt like they weren\'t breaking in at all. The bed was fine, but the top part just dug into my ankle bones and my achilles tendon. I love MBTs though and would just recommend getting a softer top.

These were my first pair of MBTs - despite the high price, I wanted to try them to see if they were as great as the converts said. Sadly, they had to be returned. I loved the springy feel of the heels and the rocking motion of the shoe when walking, but the fit was off. Shoes were VERY stiff and there was a lot of heel slippage, even with the straps pulled as tight as possible. I ended up buying the Sport model, which was even more expensive, but allowed a better fit due to the adjustability of the lacing. Proceed with caution, especially if you have no experience with this brand and how it’s supposed to fit.

This shoe seemed really nice but did not have the arch support that the reviews promised. I was disappointed because I am searching for a shoe I can get the arch support I need for a job that requires I stand from 4 - 6 hours.
