I loved the older model but this one works too, there are some things that I just can't get over; the pit zips (what do I need these for) and the noise this thing makes when you're moving about. Reminds me of those times I wore the windbreaker tracksuits when I was a kid. But over all its a good jacket :)

I work in downtown Seattle where battling rain this time of year is a given. This jacket has already proven to be waterproof. I love the hood because it is deep enough to stay on my head even when I am wearing a ponytail. The velcro straps on the wrists are nice for adjusting how loose or tight you want them, depending on what you are layering underneath. The jacket zips all the way up to my chin to keep wind and rain out. I ordered both the Black and Miami Orange Venture Jackets in women's XXL. Online the Miami Orange looked more coral in color but, it was in fact orange orange. The fit is great; I'm a 16/18 or a XL-XXL top. There is room for me to wear a sweatshirt underneath. The sleeves are not short nor is the jacket. I would buy every color :) Hope this helps!

Bought this jacket in Small, Brilliant Blue. (I'm 5'4", 110lbs, large shoulders, long arms, wide back, short torso, small waist). Gorgeous color, great fit, high quality, perfectly lightweight and breathable. Would be nice if the waist was a bit tapered to show a more feminine figure, but fantastic buy overall :)

I like the jacket but it is too big. I am going to return it and get a size smaller. It was too long in the arms and too big in the arm pits. I bought the jacket for a trip to Scotland and I do think it is going to work I just need a smaller size.

Purchased this in a very vibrant pink about 2 weeks ago. I have worn this jacket twice. I had to wear a hoodie under it because this jacket is a bit thin. It didn't keep me warm in 40 degree rainy windy weather when I wore it the first time, by itself; but it kept me dry. I must also add that its noisy while walking.

Just wish I could find a light beige one on sale for next year for my trip to Scotland to showoff to the Scots how well an Anerican can look dressed in a Northface jacket.

This was a gift that fit well and seemed great if it was warmer,
I imagine we didn't properly read the description

I'm a student at the UW in Seattle. It rains here, and when I'm making my 15 minute walk to class I expect to be dry. This jacket keeps my body dry. However, the new adjusters to tighten the hood do NOT work at all. There is no "stopper" on them so there is nothing preventing them from immediately sliding out and loosening. The hood, if it stays on my head at all, doesn't stay on my head to the point where it shields my face and some of my hair and I wind up having to sit through class wet. I don't know why the hood adjusters were redesigned; they're utterly impractical and it's a shame since I enjoy every other part of the jacket.

I would only recommend if I advised about the outer layer of jacket not drying very fast. I would not recommend blindly, however.

I bought this to replace the same jacket that I'd purchased 8 years ago (the inside layer began delaminating and peeling). Although the prior jacket was size XS and this is a size S, the older version was much roomier and better fitting. It is still waterproof and flattering and highly functional, but I preferred the older version which moved a little better and felt like it was better quality,

The jacket is awesome but was too big for me. I didn't return it for a smaller one because I didn't want to hassle with the return. I wish I would have now!

I only used my jacket for less than a week and the inside pocket broke. This was my first north face jacket and it already broke

I still like the jacket, but was highly disappointed it wasn't a soft shell jacket and that's what I searched for. I was positive I had double checked to make sure it was, because I love my old North Face, but am pregnant and it no longer fits and wanted a similar one. Still like it, but highly disappointed. Needed a jacket for lighter weather and didn't want to return it.

I bought this because I needed a waterproof jacket for a trip. This jacket is lightweight, stylish, and packable, but it is only for LIGHT intermittent rainy weather. This is WATER RESISTANT, but not WATERPROOF. There's a huge difference. I wore it in heavy rain and got soaked. My daughter, who happens to have the same jacket, laughed at my frustration and said, "yeah, it's def. not waterproof, mom!" I still wear it quite often and like it very much, but if you specifically need something waterproof to keep you dry in a downpour, this is not it.

I bought the jacket as a gift. She normally wears a medium, but this jacket was small.

Love your jackets, first time buying online so I think that's why I feel this way, it seemed that sleeves were rolo g for me.
