This is an excellent shoe and needs no break in at all. I suffer from neuropathy and need a very supportive and comfortable shoe. Reebok Ultimate Walk is that shoe! I would recommend this shoe to anyone with sensitive feet. All the DMX Reebok shoes are no. 1 in my opinion.

I want to like this shoe, but it has issues. I\'m a long time user of Reebok Walk shoes, but they keep changing them and discontinuing the ones I like best. What I like about this shoe is the better traction it provides versus the slippery bottoms the previous versions had, and also the leather seems to keep it\'s shape better so they look better longer. On the downside, they are too bouncy. There is too much air and spring in the instep and I feel like I\'m walking on a balloon. My knees also get sore if I wear them too much. I didn\'t have that problem with the older style.

I\'ve worn this shoe or its ancestor for years and have been well satisfied. It\'s better for walking than for prolonged standing, because the design seems to be such that the shoe won\'t rest completely flat on a flat surface. Since I don\'t wear or stand in the shoe for long periods of time, this instability feature hasn\'t been a problem for me.
