This show style reminds me of a "slimmed-down" version of the classic Newport H2 Sandal made by Keen. I like the Newport style, but the Whisper is lighter and a perfect summer shoe. I also wear these to work, and I got the black color this time to wear with a skirt. I am a teacher and on my feet all day; this shoe is comfortable and versatile.

I needed a “river shoe” for rafting, hiking and outdoors; Love that I can wear my custom orthodics in these, and that the heel can be tightened to accommodate my narrow foot.

I bought these in black to be my work sandals. I'm a teacher and I'm on my feet all day. The whispers are nice enough to wear with skirts and pants and provide the support I need. My feet do not hurt or feel tired after wearing them all day. I bought them 1/2 size larger to allow room for my bunion. There and the Keen newport H2 are my go to sandals for the summer.

Keen shoes are just awesome! I love them! The fit is always perfection. They are comfortable and true to size. I have other (older version) Keen's and am glad for the newer look. Great shoe.

I'm baffled by the number or reviewers who thought this style runs small. Given what I'd read, I was hesitant to go with my usual size, 9B, but did so. They fit perfectly, and if anything, are a little on the roomy side (and my feet are more wide than narrow). The shoes are super comfy and pretty darn cute for a water shoe. Really pleased with my purchase!

I LOVE these hiking sandals! I bought the gray (looks more taupe) and my daughter the blue for our hiking vacation in Yellowstone and these sandals were perfect. I had to to up 1/2 size (to 10.5 -which most shoes don't offer) but my daughter did not. We hiked for miles with no issues at all - we went walking in water and they dried quickly. I have a neuroma on my foot & these were very comfortably padded. I also have a very narrow foot and you can adust the fit with the elastic lace. We went wading and they dried pretty quickly. I would say 80% of the women hiking were wearing these (or some other Keen) sandals. I'm REALLY picky about footwear & these were a home run!! They're not that bad looking either even with my big feet.

The sandal fits well and I have a narrow foot. I ordered it a half size bigger than my normal shoe as recommended in other reviews and that worked well.

The color did not do justice from the catalog so I had to return it.

A great shoe for what they are - an unattractive hiking shoe. My boyfriend and I needed hiking shoes for our East Maui rainforest and waterfall hike in Hawaii, which we found out would involve us being knee-deep in water for about 50% of the hike. I knew that I get blisters easily, and didn't want to risk exposing open cuts to the bacteria that could be lurking in the waters. I knew that these were on the more expensive end of water hiking shoes but they are SO worth it. I got the black color and I can say that after 6 hours of trekking up and down extremely muddy slopes, swimming in waterfalls with moss covered rocks, walking through river beds, I had NO blisters. My boyfriend on the other-hand, who decided to cheap out and get the Croc version of these shoes, was covered in blisters and had to avoid covered shoes for the rest of the trip. He also found his shoes to be MUCH more slipppery, where as the Keen Whisper offered a tighter grip on slippery rocks. TL;DR No blisters = happy girl.

This is my 3rd pair of Keen Wispers. They are so comfortable I keep buying them in different colors - and there are so many colors to choose.

They are very cute I loved the colors and the ease of getting these on and staying on. I hiked around Costa Rica for a week with these, very lightweight but still sturdy enough to hike through the jungle with and I loved that I didn’t have to worry if they got wet. Only compliant is that they made my feet really dry so I had to wear extra cream at night but the ease and comfort and style of the shoes made up for it I would definitely recommend these.

Surprisingly comfortable, although not the prettiest. I wear them for walking my dog. Never having owned a pair of these before, I think I’d prefer a suede-like footbed to absorb perspiration. But for hiking the footbed is perfect. I haven’t used them as water shoes and don’t plan to, but I bet they’d hold up great in the water. Normally I have to be careful of the shoes I wear because I have bunions on both feet, but these don’t bother them at all! I will buy again.

Great feeling shoe-sandal. I'm usually 8.5 but it felt snug and my toe hit the front of the shoe. I went up a half size up to 9. The 9 is really comfy!

I take my regular size 6 and 1/2 B, which I take in dress shoes and in some other styles. I normally need to go up a half size when full sizes are offered. I love Keen sandals. They are comfortable practically from the moment I put them on and very practical. I find them moderately supportive of my high arches but I can walk for quite some distance in them--several miles easily. They are washable and protect the toes. Highly recommend.

Fit as expected

I am a true size 8 with a slender to medium width foot and in no way does this shoe run small. I have the Whisper from years ago and a new pair now and both are my usual true size 8. An unparalleled shoe if you want comfort, versatility, easy on off for travel. For what it is the shape is not too oversized or clunky.

Love these sandals! Got them in rhododendron red. I wear an 8 or 39 (sometimes an 8 1/2). These fit well. Just perfect. Waterproof. Comfortable. Awesome.

These Keens were great for a trip to the Galapagos and also all summer! Wore them every day instead of my regular sandals as they provided more support. I sole was good in wet conditions, and they are almost like wearing sneakers. The Zappos customer service person was helpful in reviewing the Whisper to other Keens. I am very happy with the turquoise color!

Always wanted a pair of Keens and finally got. Love this shoes. So comfortable. Will purchase again.

For years I had the Keen Venice, and these are so much better!! More lightweight and less clunky, much more comfortable. I find with Keens I usually need a half size larger than in some other shoes, and by adhering to that I got a great fit. No break-in time. Great for kayaking, but I think these will get some general around town sandal use as well. But let's face it these aren't fashionable :)

I got these shoes to wear when Kayaking and they work great! I even wear them to run to the store since they are so comfortable and since I got them in purple, ladies ask where I got them! They drain the water well when involved in water sports and even when they were new, there was no rubbing problems. My friend used my other pair I purchased several years ago and even though she only wore a 7 and I wear an 11, she was able to use them with no problem because of how close they fit to your foot. Love the shoes and they wear VERY well, too.

I have walked miles all over the place with these shoes for a week now. Including city and beach. No knee aches nor blisters. I’m also relieved I chose the brown color over the blue. The blue ones made my feet look enormous. The brown ones have the opposite effect.

I'm glad I read the reviews and went up half a size to the 8. Feels a little stiff on heels but goes on easy and stays on. Perfect for canoe trips and rocky beaches to protect your toes!

I love these shoes! it is great to slip them on and off. They are so much cooler than sneakers in the heat we have had this summer! I have had a pair of Clark's in the past that were similar, but they finally gave up the ghost, and Clark's no longer make that shoe. I am very happy and would recommend the Keen shoe to anyone!
