Keen Whisper has always been my summer hiking sandal. I need it 1/2 size larger than I normally wear. Still is a great sturdy yet flexible sandal with adjustments.

Fit perfectly! Plenty of arch support and so stylish!

What I expected from keen whispers

These shoes met all my criteria. I would definitely purchase them again. These are my second paid of Keens? Very happy with my purchase.

I ordered several Keen sandal versions including the Keen Astoria West, the Ravine H2, and the Whisper. I also added two other brands for comparison - the Chaco ZCloud X2 and Hoka Hopara. I thought I would like the Keen Astoria West the best, as they looked more chunky than the Whisper, but lighter than the Ravine H2's. As it turned out, I chose the Whispers out of the Keens because they felt more airy - the other two models made my feet feel too warm almost immediately after putting them on. The Ravine H2's were also not as comfortable as the Astoria West or Whispers, mainly due to the velcro strap at the back. I had read the other reviews that mentioned this, but I liked the concept of being able to remove that strap to make the sandals into a 'slip-on'. Unfortunately, I was not convinced even with the strap removed, so the Ravine's were excluded pretty early on in the decision making process. The Astorias have a higher 'wedge heel' than the Whispers, which added some height, but I prefer the lower heel on the Whispers. Regarding the other brands, I dismissed the Hoka Hopara's as they came in a mens size 8.5, which was too big, but on top of that they were just too much shoe to be a sandal! However, the Chaco's were also great. The attached photo shows the Keen Whisper and Chaco ZCloud X2's for comparison. Both models claim to be great in the water and for hiking - but they really look very different, and I almost decided to keep both.... I am going to take the Chacos for a long walk today, and if all goes well, I am going to send the Whispers back with all the others. If not, I will keep the Whispers too.

The shoe was a good fit. I have a slim foot, but it's more the thickness of my foot than the spread of my toes. These shoes are "shallow" but the toe bed is wide enough not to squeeze your toes. The shoe looks a bit bulky, but most size 10 shoes do. It is comfortable enough that you don't think about your feet. I would say that I was lucky that my little toe does not come out between the straps.

The fit is true to size and the shoe is unbelievably comfortable. Straight out of the box, I had them on and wore them all day. No issues.

I bought these sandals to wear in Hawaii. We enjoyed hiking and water activities, and these sandals were comfortable and held up well for various activities. They protected my feet fairly well. I do recall stepping in some mud during a hike and it was a full sensory experience.

I’m glad that I read all of the reviews prior to purchasing and sized up half a size as recommended as they fit perfectly. Surely if I bought my normal size they would have been too short in length. I bought these sandals as I’ll be going to Hawaii in the summer and plan on doing some light hikes and checking out some waterfalls. They have great arch support and are very comfortable. My previous Keens were much more bulky and unattractive. The Whispers are slimmer and the color combo is a nice neutral (I purchased the beige ones with pink/sea green on the straps), I think they’ll go without a lot of things. Happy with my purchase!

I love Keens! They have solved a host of foot problems for me.

I have been a loyal keen queen for 14 years. I had another pair of the Whisper that was showing it's mileage (11 years and counting!). I LOVE the tie dye. Wouldn't have dreamed of paying $100 for a pair of shoes but they had been on my radar for two years and the price was not changing and I knew I would love them. The soles feel stiff compared to my other pair, but who can blame them!?

I ordered two different pairs of Keen sandals, hoping that at least one would accommodate my problem pinkie toe which sticks out through straps of most Keens that I try. I am only returning these because the toe still rubs a bit on the straps , no problem with the Ravine H2 which covers the toe very well, yippee! ( I have worn Keen sneakers for years, so very happy overall with the brand.)

This style is my go-to for rainy weather as well as my "emergency shoes" for travelling when my feet swell up. Great arch support and I could not resist buying another pair in this multi-color combination. I have at least 4 pairs of this style in different colors...what does that tell you!

The fit was perfect. Very comfortable.

I needed water shoes with toe coverage. These fit great - true to size. Easy on, arch support & good tread for rougher coral type beaches. Waterproof -yay!

This sandal fit perfectly and is very comfortable. Being a hiking sandal makes it a little bulky but I've never found a really comfortable, supportive sandal that isn't bulky. This is the most comfortable sandal right out of the box that I've ever worn! I'd recommend for perfect fit and good support.

I walk every day, but I have a bunion. I can walk and hike comfortably in these shoes. I have purchased them several times, having worn our previous pairs.

Oh lordy are these shoes narrow. I usually wear an 8 in Merrells so I followed the reviews and went a half size up. They are still VERY narrow. I had to loosen the bungie cord on all the sides and break them in. Now that they're broken in, they're great. They are comfortable, hold up well to long hours of walking and have a very stable foot bed. They do get a little hot when the temperature above 80 degrees, but they dry quickly and I had no issues with getting them wet.

Fine. Nice shoes that should be great for summer wear. Nice that the upper half is "water proof" per the label.

These are hands down, the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned!!! I am SO SO SO happy with this purchase!!

These are so comfortable and well made. I don’t plan to wear them for a night on the town so style-wise they are appropriate for the task and I like the contrasting colors. Great grippy soles for scampering on wet rocks. I was nervous that the heel wasn’t adjustable but the single elastic lace system does the job to make them snug all around my narrow feet. I bought the Keen Clearwater CNX model too (assuming they would be better) but they weren’t nearly as comfortable against my skin. Arch support is great on these too. I will be living in them when I’m not barefoot. Thanks Keen for realizing that not all feet are as wide as boats!
