Very disappointed with the feet of this shoe since it was touted a shoe for people suffering with plantar fasciitis - the left show especially was very uncomfortable in the ball area.

I tried on three different sizes and my heel hung off the back in all three. Not sure why my foot won’t go to front of shoe. I have very narrow feet. Was really hoping these would work because the arch support looked good.

What in the heck happened to the comfortable footbed that I got with my other Keen Whispers that were exactly like the news ones right down to the color. It’s like walking on concrete. My other pair were great. So soft and comfortable. These are not going to work. I was so looking forward to wearing my wild socks with these. Keen, You really messed up!

We have been loyal Keen Whisper customers, buying both from LL Bean and Zappos. They have really been great for my kids at camp and school where it is very hot but where open toed shoes are not permitted. They have been on countless vacations and have protected their toes while biking. I placed our annual order, keeping in mind to order a half size bigger based on other reviews and there was plenty of room length wise. Unfortunately, neither of my kids could get their toes into the toe box. The arch area of the shoe was very narrow and they both have a narrow feet. Sending back and saying goodbye to Keen. These shoes are too pricey anyway.

I have a narrow foot, but usually have great luck with Keens. This particular style, the Whisper, the tongue is shorter than where the pull strings rest. It seemed that the strings would be directly on my foot and would be uncomfortable. I returned them to try a different style. I'm not sure if it's the way they are made, or because I have a narrow foot and thin ankle. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see how they are nearly the same height on the ankle, but once on the foot, the tongue rests secure and the pull strings come up higher.

I am looking for a pair of sandals that I could wear on long walks but it won't be these. My feet are prone to blistering so I need something comfortable. These sandals seem well made, but the left shoe fit strangely -- tighter than the right and my little toe was peeking out between the straps.

While the catalog does say order half size up, if you wear a 10 you do not have that option as they do not make 10 1/2. I ordered the size I own in other Bean shoes and have to return them. Disappointing.

The Keen Whispers were absolute torture on my feet. I ordered them for our Disney World trip and by the end of the first day, the side straps that are located just above the arch were rubbing into my feet so bad that I got blisters. This is not my first time wearing Keens and I normally wear the Venice but my older pair was too worn. My regular shoe size is a 6.5M and in the Whisper, I had to exchange and go up to a 7M. The shoes were too narrow in the arch area and because of that pain, I didn't even notice any footbed comfort. Now I am stuck with a pair of uncomfortable shoes because I wore them around for a day at one of the parks -- I don't want to keep these shoes! I ended up switching to my Birkenstocks for the rest of the trip but that defeated the purpose of having water-friendly shoes because it rained off and on all week. The Keen Venice is probably a more width-friendly shoe because the Whisper didn't work for me.

Tried 3 times to get the right color/fit. I usually wear between a 7-7.5, so I ordered up one size, in the light brown color. My heel went over the back. I ordered an 8 in the same color, the color that arrived was dark chocolate brown, and my heel barely fit. So, I ordered an 8.5 in the Magnet/neutral gray. The color is fine, my heel fits on the shoe, but my foot moves around too much. Found a similar pair of Clarks, 7.5, which are the keepers. Thanks, Zappos, for your fantastic return policy.

Great shoes! Very comfortable shoe, could have more arch support, but overall very comfortable. The first time I wore them I was walking in them most of the day without any discomfort usually associated with breaking in new shoes.

This style of Keen made my heel sit at the way back of the shoe, and felt like my foot was hanging off the end. I tried two sizes and they both felt the same. There's something about this particular style that doesn't fit my feet quite right. I'm disappointed because I really wanted to like these shoes. I have a pair of Venice Keens that I've adored for over 10 years and was hoping to replace them with a newer style of Keens. I'm older now, and my feet have changed with age and childbirth, so my shoes need to work harder for me. I plan to purchase the same style of Keens I have now, but an updated color.

Definitely wear these around the house for a while before going outside. This shoe would have been great except for one major flaw in my opinion. The way the back is made makes it very stretchy and my foot kept slipping towards the back of the shoe. The ribbon around the back of the heel is allowed to slide through a bypass (see just above the Keen logo on the ankle), which makes it easy to stretch to get on and off, however it also stretches when you're wearing the shoe. I fiddled with tightening the drawstring, but that only cut off the circulation to the top of my foot but didn't do anything to prevent my foot from sliding to the back of the shoe. This is why I don't wear slip-ons. I always feel like my feet are sliding out the back of the shoe. The arch support felt good, the width felt good, and the length felt accurate for the size.

These were terrible :-( They pushed my foot out. I've loved my other Keens but these are just too narrow and they don't stay on your feet. Other friends had similar problems with this line.
They were cute and lightweight so I really wanted them to be my new go to sandal, but they were never winners.
Perhaps with a narrower foot or a different arch, but they did not work for me and were a disappointment.
They only want you to whisper about this shoe.
My friend had the Whisper Slide and tried to give them away to me because they didn't fit her feet right either. We are both Keen fans, but not Whisper fans.
I was sad when this was the only women's sandal option at the Dick's Sporting Goods in my region. It really doesn't do Keens justice.

This was my first pair of Whispers, but fifth pair of Keens. I so wanted to love this shoe, but something just does not fit right with the right shoe. It felt "weird" from the time I put it on, but I thought I just needed to break it in. I wore them for a month before vacation, never getting a comfy fit. I wore them for a four hour hike and ended up with the worst blisters I've ever had. I should have returned them after a few days and stuck with my Newport H2's. The Whisper style appealed to me since it was not as "clunky" as the Newport H2's. Lesson learned.

I have a very narrow foot and wear a size 9 shoe. I love Keen footwear. It's what we all wear. My last pair of sandals lasted about 5 years, and I was so looking forward to my new ones. Sadly, they are too narrow for my already thin foor, as well as a half inch too long. My left foot is swollen in between the straps and I am unable to wear them. The stitching is not even, and is lumpy on my foot as well. The design on these sandals is extremely poor. I hope Keen is not going the way of rush production and poor design. I will be very wary before investing more of my money in Keen footwear.

While I like the less clunky look (as opposed to the Newport H2) and come in better colors in my opinion than does the Newport, I gotta say that I have worn these shoes very little. I always go back to my Newport's. These flop a little on one of my heels, are lighter and correspondingly I suppose, offer less support. If you're a serious walker as am I, you owe it to yourself to at least compare it to the Newport.

Too narrow! I ordered up, as many suggested, but the 7.5 was huge. Returned for the 7, which is so narrow I can barely get my foot in. Bummer.

I love Zappos, they are awesome, This sandal, however, while very comfortable is not very well made on the upper part, with very little wear it frays, under the nylon straps part. And stitching starts coming loose. I will keep them as are comfortable. I just won't expect them to last very long, as I don't think the upper part is going to hold up for too many miles.

The Greenbriar/neutral gray that is currently being shipped is more Kelly green in color than what is being displayed. The leather trim is also green rather than a dark gray.

Bought these for a cruise where we'd be doing a fair amount of hiking off the boat. Arrived next day! Zappos is great! Shoes not so much. Just walking in them a few steps my feet were sliding out of them and these have a back to them. I tried strapping them down tight but the back of my heel kept coming out and there was a ton of room in the toe. I'm always an 8.5 and this was an 8.5. I easily could have gone down to a 8 or maybe even a 7.5. Very disappointed. Hoping I'll have enough time to get another brand of shoes to try out.

Even though my foot is normal width (to slightly narrow), these are a narrower version of the Keens and just didn't work for me. The size also ran about 1/2 size too big and so I found myself constantly kicking the toes of my shoes to move my foot up. Tightening the cords only proved to cut of the circulation. I gave this pair to my daughter and bought a pair of the Keen Newport H2 - much better for my foot.

I have wide feet. The other Keen shoes that I have are the most supportive, comfortable shoes I have had in a long time. These are narrow, not as supportive and push my foot backward out on the shoe. Maybe they would be fine if I had narrow feet.

They fit great but the little plastic clip on the bungee is shaped such that the ends of it dig in to my ankle and cause an extremely ithcy red welt each time I wear them. After two hours of wear I have to use Benedryl cream to stop the itching. I do not know what the clips are made of, but my skin cannot tolerate them and I have other older Keens that I have never had a problem with.

I bought the Keen Whisper shoes from Dick's Sporting Goods, and am bringing them right back (they fit better in the store than they did once I got them home and walked around my living room in them). These shoes fit my feet very narrowly, with an awkwardly wide toe, making walking an interesting but not necessarily comfortable experience. In addition, the shoes were long. Although the straps fit snugly against the side of my feet, there was about an extra ½" of shoe extending beyond my toes. I usually wear between an 8 and 8½, and these shoes were an 8½. Finally, I am seeking shoes with excellent arch support since I will be doing a lot of hiking on an upcoming vacation. These shoes have more arch support than flip-flops, but the support is pretty evenly distributed along the bottom of the foot and not necessarily in the arch where I need it. I have high arches and poor support makes a big difference in my ability to walk all day versus needing to sit down after a few hours. Since Keen got such good reviews across the board on many of its other models, I have ordered the Keen Newport and the Venice to try them out. Hopefully a better fit in some of their other models!

I usually love Keens and have had other styles int he past, but these are the worst fitting shoes I have ever had. They run very narrow, and my feet are only slightly on the wide side, however they fit terribly. My foot is always being pushed to the back of the shoe and the fit is just wrong. I wish I never would have wore them outside, as I would return them if I could.
