This shoe fit properly, comfortable but where is the arch support other viewers listed as being good? For this price, I must have arch support for lengthy comfortable wear.

Something is wrong with the fit of this shoe. The shape does not line up with the location of the arch. Also, I already have narrow feet, and these were even too narrow for me. They are well made and true to size (I consistently wear a 6.5). Disappointed overall; I will be sending them back.

I liked the way they looked and expected them to be very comfortable for a trip to Charleston and Savannah, but they are very tight across the top. Maybe I just have a high instep. I was out of time and found a pair of Ecco sandals at the mall that were perfect. The fit of the Keen Whisper is fine everywhere else. Since I threw away the box before I realized Zappos would take returns, I'm hoping the Whisper will eventually stretch to comfort.

I've had 2 other pair of Keens similar to this and loved them. Unfortunately the Whisper runs WAY small. Even more unfortunate is that I took the shoes on an overseas trip, assuming they'd fit, and wound up needing to wear them. Otherwise would definitely have exchanged for a size larger or skipped altogether. Too bad.

Like the style of the shoe, but it was too tight and too small. My feet felt very pinched.

Love the style and color (I got the red/gray combo), but these fit my feet horribly! After reading other reviews, it seems that I am in the minority, but felt I should share my experience anyway! Just a little background: I wear a size 9 or 9.5, regular arches, relatively short toes, and have semi-wide feet (rarely need to get wide shoes though). Anyway, even when I tie the laces as tight as they can go, my heels are always falling off of the back of the shoe and my toes are 1.5 inches from the tip of the shoe. The top of my toes always get irritated because, well, I can't keep my foot in the shoe properly! I thought these problems would go away when I broke the shoe in, but they haven't. Again I like the style, but I am pretty much unable to wear these shoes.

I am always torn which reviews to follow. It seems like half will say one thing, the other half will say exactly the opposite. With these I found they were ½" less wide then the Venice H2 or Newports that I have had for years. This year I wanted to get some Keens in a different color and perhaps slightly lighter than the H2 so I tried the Whispers. I had to return them - they definitely are ½" less in width (I measured) so they did not work well for my wide flat feet. I could feel the right inside strap near my non-arch when I walked. They were true to length. I ordered a 6½. I wear a 6½ in the H2 and a 7 in the paradise style. I do find that each season when I break out my Keens, the bottom of my feet get a few blisters the first time I wear them. Then they are okay for the rest of the season. I also feel like my feet always need to be washed after wearing so I would not mind finding shoes with a different footbed. I may try the Jambas next. I do find Keens (Venice or Newport) are sandals that I can wear all day without rubbing and getting my feet annoyed. Zappos may not have discount prices but their service, ease of use and return handling is unbeatable. They make buying online too easy! It is the first place I come to buy shoes. Thanks, Zappos!

Great shoe, very comfortable. My only complaint is there is not enough arch/heel support.

Really love the style and lightweight feel of the Whisper. However, though it is true to size (Keen's website will inform you of how they they run, and they have been right about every shoe!), the shoe is very narrow. I thought I had narrow feet, but even my foot was too wide through the instep. I found that they could not be adjusted properly to fit every part of my foot the right way. If it were loose enough to accommodate my high arch/instep, then they were too loose in the heel, and if they fit my heel, then they were too tight everywhere else. Even at their loosest setting, I could not fit my foot all the way into the shoe. For the right foot, these shoe will be great. Just know they don't fit like the Keen's you're used to! I ended up exchanging for a pair of the Venice sandals, and am very happy.

Very narrow. Since Keen sold the sizes run smaller and narrower.

I like this shoe, but my little toe pushes the open space in the shoe. I am trading for another style.

Although they are cute as heck, there is no arch support to the point that I have foot and lower back pain after a day of wearing them. Good for hanging out, not for walking around.

Oh, how I wish these shoes fit me! I love the feminine style and yellow color (it is more subdued than it appears online). Just such a bummer that this style is not wide enough for my feet, which aren't necessarily very wide. Only buy this one if you have narrow feet. And if you do, lucky you! This is an amazing shoe. Hope they make it in wide someday.

I love my Keen H2O sandals I bought more than 5 years ago. But these had to be returned. They looked and fit small.

Of the three Keen sandals I tried, the Whisper had the least arch support, the Arroyo II the most, and the Newport H2 was in the middle. Whisper feels light and flimsy compared to the others. I ordered a half size up, and it felt a little big, but I have a narrow foot and a low arch.

Feels wonderful first time I put them on but a wee bit short so heel is on edge. The other pair (Newport H2) fits perfect and is same size. Disappointed that the Whisper didn't fit as well though. Love Zappos anyway!

At first, these feel like the most comfortable sandals in the world. The insoles and nice and cushy, as are the straps. However, the lack of arch support does not make them good for walking around in all day, which is what I was looking for. I'm keeping them for the beach and camping but I'm still on the lookout for a comfortable sandal for all-day walking.

This is the first shoe I've ever returned to Zappos (of course they took good care of my return). What looked like the perfect warm weather wet/dry shoe just didn't fit well. My foot is a bit narrow; the overall width fit me well. As other reviewers have said, the shoe runs a little small; I think a true medium or wider foot would not be happy in these. The problem for me was where the toe box and footbed merge. It was too tight, even after letting the elastic ties all the way out. The straps rubbed on the outside just above my little toes. I own two other pairs of Keens and love them both. Sadly, this style didn't work for me.

I really wanted to like these shoes - I love Keen St. Barts and thought these might be similar - they are not. The footbed is not nearly as supportive, my feet hurt after a little while of walking in them. They are a little snug as well, even though I loosened up the straps. My bunion also sticks out right at one of the openings making them not very attractive on my feet. I will keep trying and wearing Keen shoes though since they are usually the best shoes ever for me. Just not this style.

Within two weeks of having this shoe, the sole came off one of them. Thankfully crazy glue came to the rescue, as I was camping at the time and had no other options. Otherwise, this is a great shoe - easy to put on and take off, comfortable, lightweight and water-friendly.

I loved the previous pair of Keen shoes that I bought, so when I was going to England and worried about rain, I bought another pair as a backup, in case mine had to dry out. It did not work out. While the shoes felt normal when tried on, when walking they became tight and cut into the sides of my feet. They hurt me and I wound up walking in wet shoes, since I was right in my fear about rain in England. When I returned home, I brought the shoes to a cobbler to be stretched. $6 later, I have not worn them enough to see if the stretching helped, but wear them for short intervals, to ensure that my feet will not hurt when walking long distance. Very disappointing and why many people admonished that I should not buy shoes online.

I\'m giving this product a 3 overall only because the Keen Newport is far superior! By normal standards, this is a good sandal, but if you\'re looking for something exceptional, go for the Newport!

These shoes are very very comfortable. My big disappointment is that my feet sweat in them and eventually smell if I wear them all day.

I have all kinds of foot problems including bunions, heel spurs, a hammertoe, and plantar fasciitis. I wear custom-made sport orthotics with my Easy Spirit Romy shoes almost all the time in order to keep my problems in check. The Keen Whisper is a comfortable shoe and does not bother my bunions, but the sandal does not offer enough arch support for my needs. I still wear them for short periods of time but not when I need to do a lot of walking. I do not think they would work well for someone with wide feet. They fit my narrow feet fine and are true to size.
