Although I ordered this shoe a half size larger than my normal size as I always do with Keen shoes excluding the Newport H2 which fits perfectly in my size, I found that my heel would get pushed back to the very back edge of the shoe. It seems strange because there is some wiggle room in the toe area and I can force my foot forward all the way if needed, but it won't stay there. Footbed seemed comfy enough and I was able to tighten the shoe down to the point of it leaving indentations in the top of my foot, but I could not fix the problem. In order of arch support for my three Keen sandals, the Venice H2 has the most arch support, maybe even a little too much for me, the Newport H2 feels as though it was made for my foot and the Whisper has the least arch support.

Not sure what the big deal is with these shoes. Maybe it's me. I was expecting more support and comfort and they are just okay and nothing more. No arch support and my feet definitely move around in them. I like that they can go in the water, but it's not amazing enough to be this price.

I wanted to love these shoes, but they ride just a bit too low on the back of the heel, especially the right shoe (may just be my body). However, I'm a true 9.5, and I had to get 10s in these, which are just a little too large. I wish that Keen's shoes fit me better, but I've had a sizing issue since I started trying Keens many years ago. Still don't own a pair. I thought that it just might be this batch, so I ordered one from Keen directly...same sizing issues, and on that pair, the right shoe seemed larger than the left. Seems to be a lack of consistency in their manufacturing.

Not happy with this item. Expensive for the quality. No real support. Should cost about half max. Fit was also awkward.

I was disappointed in these shoes. I own a different brand of Keen's and had purchased those in a 10 and they fit great. A size 10 for these shoes is 1/2 size too big for me.

Had high hopes for these but they have very poor arch support. Plus, my big toe nails caught on the edge of a seam which I knew would be annoying - a minor complaint compared to the lack of arch support. Disappointed to send these back because I love the light weight and the strapping is very comfortable and adjustable. If you don't need arch support these are excellent! (Also sending back the Ahnu Tilden V because of poor arch support by the way.)

I tried on size 8.5 in brown at a local store, and they were perfect size. But the 8.5 in this green were too short. Love ZAPPOS for letting us ship back and forth. Really needed that service this time!!

I have a pair of Keen Whisper style sandals bought in 2010 that I wear daily and love. They fit true to size. This shoe is fun and comfortable, but at least a half size or more too short.

I am a size eight in every shoe and I have a hard time getting my toes in the front of these shoes. The shoe needs to be wider towards the toes because my heel slightly hangs off.

followed suggestion to order half size up since I wear 7 1/2. Too big. inside sole is no comparison to the Propel versions that I have had and need to replace...not as comfortable. Leather is stiffer. Had to return.

i read all the reviews on line before ordering and ordered a half size larger as recommended. The sandal was so large I had to return them for smaller size, very wide at toe but okay with a half insole.

I want to love Keens since everyone else does! Problem I have is that they just don't look cute on me - short 5'3" and they appear so utilitarian and emphasize my short legs... I'm trying another version in a half size up. Fingers crossed!

If you are accustomed to wearing Keen sandals, you may find that these do not offer the same arch support as Bali, H2, etc. Like some of the similar styles, it is best to order 1 size up. These are made in China and the black material looks like a cheap suede/felt. If they had good arch support, I would keep them, but the arches of my foot are about a cm off the foot bed even when I have all of my weight on that foot. Otherwise, they are comfortable. I like that these are not as wide as similar styles which would make them work well with jeans.

I liked the looks of these sandals but I didn't like the fit. I tried two sizes and with both, I felt like my heel was hanging off the edge even though my toes didn't reach the top of the sandal. I have friends who swear by Keen and they fit them fine. But for me, the fit just wasn't right. I have to give it to LL Bean though, they processed my return quickly.

I write this review based on my feet, so take this with a grain of salt, I saw no other reviews with the same problems that I had when I got these and tried them on. 1) Style in the grand scheme of shoes these are not pretty. I love the red color but they are water shoes that cover your toes and they are very distinctive, but not stylish. I didn't buy them for style so they are fine. 2) Comfort. If these work for you you are going to love the comfort, they are squishy and supportive all around. I have narrow feet and a high arch and I felt that there was NO arch support. When I first put them on I thought that I must have a defective pair because while there is no arch support, there is a lump on the footbed on the outer edge of the shoe that forces my foot to pronate and my knees were killing me after walking around in the house for 15 minutes. Other than that glaring problem they were comfortable. They did feel true to size and width.

I love the stability of this water shoe, but there was not enough arch support for my needs. Sadly I need to return. Zappos is always the best in customer service.

Lightweight and comfortable. The only downside is the long tab on the back. It is too long and keeps rubbing on the back of the heel when I walk.

I wanted so much to love these cause they are so keen looking. I wanted an athletic sandal. My daughter wears Keen and said I should get these. She wears their athletic shoe, not the sandal. However, they are not comfortable for me. The footbed has little bumps and grooves that hurt the sole of my foot. I ordered the 7.5 (my usual) first and they were too short, so ordered the 8. They fit but are just not for me. The color is awesome though. Maybe if Keen can make a sandal without bumps on the footbed, I would get them. Cause the shoe is so cool looking even for an older person like me.

Because I have plantars fasciitis and tarsal tunnel syndrome, I am somewhat limited in my footwear choices. Most of what I can wear comfortably is not super attractive. I have Keen winter boots that fit well, so based on that and the good reviews of this product, I bought a pair. The colors are nice, but they are not super cute. They feel fine for walking the dog, walking my kid to school, running errands - but I wore them to Disney and they did hurt around the sides- the strappy part. These shoes have good support and didn't aggravate my pre-existing foot problems, but they rubbed in a blister producing way after hours of walking.

Unfortunately, I had to send these shoes back because they ran very small (both length and width) and were cut differently so that my pinky toes were not comfortable.

I love the look and general feel of these. However, I went through three pairs in 3 different sizes and they were never quite right. My heel kept shifting backward and hanging off the end of the shoe (even after going up in size multiple times). I don't know if it is because these fit a narrow foot better than a medium foot, or maybe it is related to my arch. I don't have this issue with the keen newport h2's. I noticed a possible reason as the ankle strap is way different. On the whisper, it doesn't have the reinforced thick material attached all around, so the heel is able to stretch and stretch and stretch. The newports keep my feet put where they are supposed to be in the shoe. Wish this style worked for me, but ill stick with what works.

Based on all of the reviews, I was expecting these to be roomy, lightweight, and supportive. When I tried these on, they fit perfectly length wise, but they were uncomfortably snug in width. The soles, while well cushioned, had little to no noticeable arch support. I am disappointed to be returning these after all of the great reviews, but they are just not going to work.

Many reviewers recommended ordering 1/2 size larger, so I did. However, I felt that they were actually too big so I'm returning them.

I usually love Keens straight out of the box. I bought these a half size and a whole size bigger than I normally wear. The half size felt like it fit the best but it felt too narrow in the toebox area. The straps rubbed wrong and made them really uncomfortable. The whole size bigger felt and looked like clown shoes in the toe area. They slipped some, as well, but the straps didn't rub the way the smaller ones did. I am disappointed to say that I will be returning both pairs. They are really adorable (if you like Keens or this style of sandal/shoe). They are a little more feminine looking than my past pairs of Keens, as well. I'm super bummed these were so uncomfortable on me, but the front part of my foot does tend to be wider than normal and I'm guessing that's why these didn't work for me.

What makes me sad about my Keen Whispers is that the stitching is already coming loose after only half of one summer of use. I have a pair of Rockports that have lived a hard life and are still great. Also, the Whispers don't have the great arch and my feet don't feel as well supported. These are fine for town but not for hiking. I may use them for my river shoes, since they are much lighter than Newports for river swimming (with painful rocks).
