I have worn Keene Whispers for years. This is my 5th pair of them. It seems like the top area isn’t as comfortable as they were previously, perhaps my foot has changed but feel the shoe has also.

I like these a lot. I don't feel like they are super supportive, but I like the wide toe box and think they are fun! I got these so I can use them with water aerobics and when I go kayaking. I haven't used them yet, but so far when I've worn them around the house, I'm pleased with them.

I am looking for a pair of closed toe sandals to gently hike in the SW national parks. These fit fine... and I have hard feet to fit. But the sandal has a bumpy ridged insole. After walking around the house for five minutes, my toes went numb and my heels were sore. Not sure why the bumps are throughout the insole or why they are so pronounced and hard. I really thought they were a winner when I first tried them on... but I discovered that I couldn't wear them for even five minutes without the bottoms of my feet hurting.

Ordered a half size up based upon some of the reviews. Length and width are fine but sitting in a chair with the shoes on I felt like they were too tight around the top of my foot. I need something that I can wear for 10-15 miles of walking a day.

Loved the looks of the shoe. Normally wear a 81/2. Length was ok in comparison. Only drawback was “no” arch support & not as cushiony as the KEEN Astoria West sandal. So returning and ordering the “Astoria West” model.

These are great for hiking and water sports. Obviously I gave them a 2 star rating for style because they’re not very attractive but they’re perfect for outdoor wear.

I finally wore out my 6-7 year old Keen whisper sandals, so I ordered a new pair. Ive worn them for 2 weeks, and after only 1 week, the shoe developed a slight odor. After 2 weeks, taking off my shoes next to my daughter, we could both smell it. Not overpoweringly, but a slight funky smell. Its most noticeable right after taking off the shoe. If i smell the sandal later, the smell dissipates but returns when wearing. Ive never had a problem with foot sweat or odor, so its definitely the shoe materials. The anti-microbial feature does not work. Other than the smell, its a great shoe. Im debating on keeping, but wonder if the odor will get worse.

These adorable water shoes fit well, but the arch support was totally inadequate for what I need these days (Plantar Fasciitis). Sad to send them back since they are so festive, but without really good arch support... oh well.

Initially it was a good fit; however, I know how my feet swell after walking awhile and I could tell where the shoes would be painful. They could be perfect hiking shoes for some just not for me.

The fit was supportive, and very comfortable to wear. However, I had trouble actually getting them on. You have to slip them on; there is no way to widen the opening and I found it too difficult.

I've worn these sandals through the years, have them in numerous colors, and have loved wearing them . . . until now. The inside of the shoe has a pronounced textured surface making it feel that you are walking on gravel. (Previous shoes, of the same style, have a much smoother surface.) I have been forced to wear socks, which I don't like doing. I finally took them to a shoe repair service and paid $23 to have insoles glued to the rubber. Not happy! Beware!

Summer is here and I spend most of my weekends hiking or swimming in rivers and lakes near my home. I pretty much live in these all weekend and they get quite a workout. Do they last forever? No, the fabric is showing tears and stretches one year after I bought them. But I'm going to replace them with the same, because the comfort and usefulness is the best. You can walk on a riverbed, climb over slippery rocks (carefully), hike through mud. Done all that and will do some more. Can you dress them up? No, not really. They look like what they are - water-shoe-sandal-hiking things. Enjoy them for your outdoor adventures, but don't expect to wear them to a garden party. If the fabric part was more sturdy and didn't tear, I would give them five stars overall, but I just wish they lasted longer.

This model (Whisper) is looser/larger than the Newport. I ordered both at the same time, same size (6B), and the Whisper is definitely larger. It's enough that my foot shifts around even when the cord is pulled tight. A little too much room up front but still comfortable for what I need. This model is good for kayaking, and water activities as it is a more open shoe than the Newport.

The material's a bit stiff but think wearing them will solve this problem. Don't often have to break in Keen's but will have to do so for these shoes. (Living in the Deep South means loads of hot, muggy days and blisters can form in short period of time.) The length and width are fine with the wide toe bed I've come to love in Keens.

I ordered this style in coffee liqueur, thinking from the picture that it was a nice, light color: a tan. Yes, I know there is "coffee" in the name but still, make no mistake; this is brown. I am still trying to decide whether to keep it.

I purchased this shoe and the keen Newport so that I could decide on the ideal pre-summer trip sandal. This certainly narrower and physically more appealing. It's also lighter in weight than the Newport shoe. I really wanted to choose this one for these reason. But due to the placement of the criss-crosses in the front, my little toe was partially exposed, thus making it slightly odd and potential problem in the future. It also didn't feel as stable as the Newport, and so I returned these and kept the newports.

I love these. My first pair of Keen sandals. I've never received so many compliments on a pair of shoes before and I buy awesome shoes. The only bummer is that they make my feet smell terrible and now that I've talked more with other people that have Keen sandals they are saying the same thing.

These are super comfortable shoes. They fit slightly different than my old Keen "Venice" sandals, these are narrower and a bit more like an athletic shoe. I would say the heel is just a bit lower and therefore less padded, as well. These are comfortable for walking and are really cute. I like the smaller toe cover as well.

These shoes are not too bad looking, are fairly comfortable, yet, the heel strap tends to be twisted and annoying on my heel. Also, they are too big. In Keen land I take a 10.5 -- or did until I was in a horrible accident. Now, 4.5 years later, I'm still trying to find my perfect size and style of keens. I recommend these, but don't get them too big. In other words, I would call these true to size, not a shoe that you should order bigger than your usual size. I would also say that I am not a big fan of the synthetic shoes. I am now ordering a leather shoe and desperately hoping it will work out.
