My last pair of these were my favorite summer footwear -- good for casual wear and even used on longer walks thanks to the decent cushioning and arch support. My initial impression of this new pair is that the materials feel cheaper than my last pair -- durability and comfort may suffer.

Better looking than I expected, cool looking blue color. Toe strap is a bit narrow and cuts a little into the skin/gap.

Thought it would be interesting to have these, as old different brand was about dead. I wear flip flops often here in Cal, and buy what I think are expensive ones that I expect to last for years. I had size 13's at 13, and now usually buy 14's as I get older. For some reason, the toe did not feel right in the 14's, so got 15's, which look huge, part of the fun of bigfoot. I like the toe cover thing as it may help prevent catching my toe. I had a couple of times got a sharp poke in foot in woods, never had them with others. Have to see how they last. As always, great customer service from Zappos, who sent me new ones before I sent back old ones. They are kind of big and bulky for travel. Give me a couple of years and we will see if I buy again.

I love the Keen Waimea H2 the wife got me a pair years ago and then I wasn't able to find them again and a friend told me about Zappos. I love these shoes!

I got these shoes for my dad on Father's Day and he wears them daily. If I have to give the amount of stars, it would be 4 star.

These are very comfortable and fit well. I do find that the thong rubs between my toes a little more than I would like, but they are very comfortable for standing in.

I have a wide foot and this shoe did not work for me, too narrow.

Not sure, but I find most all shoe widths need to be questioned. Wide is not "D", "E" any wider.

I wanted to like this, I really did. I thought the styling was unique and smart. Two issues made me return them, though: 1) They were very lightweight, but almost too much so. They did not feel substantial enough for my liking. 2) The outside of the sandal had a strangely prominent arch that felt awkward to me. Before this I had a pair of Tevas that were a bit more substantial, so maybe that colors my preferences a bit.

These sandals are very good looking but it needed constant toe gripping to keep them on mostly because the straps attach so far forward. For the same reason the are very loud. Every step caused a slapping sound against my foot. Exercise sandals are OK if that's what you want, but I want sandals that I have to worry about kicking off.

I love this sandal so much that when Keen quit making them for women, I thought I'd try the men's and just paint them to my liking. Unfortunately, though the length in men's is just fine, the straps are much looser than they are in the women's size. They have to go back. So sad. I'll just have to keep on Keen bout bringing them back for women. Why should the guys have the cool sandals...albeit in drab colors?

I liked the prompt delivery, however the size is smaller than my previous pair. I should have believed the feedback. Hard to figure why they should start making these things smaller.

Men with narrow feet should know that the Keen Waimea may not work well.
Mine are very loose and I ordered a full size smaller than normal!
I will keep them as they are comfortable to stand in, but could not see walking very far with out the sandals slipping off.

I bought my first pair of Keen Waimeas probably 10 years ago and wore them to death! They lasted about 5 years and I mean, I wore them - jeans, dresses, beach, shopping.... you name it, year 'round. Then, tragedy struck and the rubber thong snapped in two. I ordered replacements, but now the thong is made of the same fabric as the upper and it has destroyed my feet. I'm crushed. I loved my original pair. I can't wear these new ones at all. I've tried breaking them in but they just rub my feet raw. Please go back to making the thong with the rubber piece. I'll give you 5 stars if you do.

I have had several pair of these flip flops over the past 8 years and they have always been great. This time the fit is good and it is comfortable but the rubber material seems very inferior to what was used in previous years. I think they're overpriced for the current quality of the shoe.

The color is just what I was looking for. Soles are nice and soft and form fitted as all my others have. However, this pair has more loose straps than any before. I do have fairly low level at the arch area. The half dozen pairs I have had prior did not fit this way, however! Still a very satisfied Keen man!

I loved that these were made with re-used inner tubes. The footbed felt good, with great arch support. They were non-slip on wet vinyl tile, a test I put all my shoes through. I have wide, flat feet, and these would have been great, except for the toe flap. It felt like I was going to get a blister, and it hindered my big toe from coming up whenever I took a step. Also, on my left foot, my second toe would sometimes hit the edge of the flap. I returned them. Too bad, because I love the other style of Keen I have, so I was hoping to use these as a cool (as in cooler, temperature wise, to wear than covered toe shoes) alternative for working at home, standing on my feet all day. But no go.

I have been a fan of Keen footwear since moving to South Florida. I had a pair of Keen flip flops with toe protection that had worn out and got the Waimea version as a replacement. Unfortunately, these are not nearly as comfortable as my earlier Keens, and the toe protection doesn't extend much beyond the big toe, so you're still kind of exposed. Disappointing and I hope Keen comes out with something better down the road.

I've had four or five pairs of these over the years. The original design lasted well and was remarkably comfortable. The footbed felt great and the sandal was excellent, even for hiking over uneven ground and for fairly long distances. Keen has changed something in the design, though. The footbed seems harder, the toe cap is different and the toe struts are nowhere near as comfy as they used to be. In the past, I'd ordered 13s and they fit well. This time around, I sent the new 13s back and went to 12s, which are just slightly small. So, where these used to be my ideal sandals, this may be my last pair of Waimeas. They're not bad now, but they aren't great, either. Zappos once again gets great marks for customer service, though!

Made well, but poorly designed: I think this sandal is really well made, but quite poorly designed. Why is it that these sandals are always bottom heavy? The result is that if you walk any more than 1/2 a mile on these, you will end up with severely sore toes. However, this is a great looking sandal, and definitely fits the bill for very short trips or trips where you don't expect to do much walking.

Super comfortable, but the quality gets worse every year.
I love wearing these all summer. The footbed has great arch support and with the toe bumper I even hike in them. The first pair I bought years ago lasted 3 years, but after that the quality got worse and worse. I've been replacing them every year because the thong blows out. Fine if they were dime store flip flops, but for the money Keen asks, they should last longer. This last pair blew out in five months. Didn't even last the full season.

I bought these flip flops because I am a longtime fan of the Waimea style with the protective toe-guard. I actually use my last existing pair of Women's 11 as my bedroom slippers. They are slightly too short for me. However, Keen in their infinte wisdom has discontinued the women's version. I bought the men's 10.5 since several users here said that was the equivalent of a woman's 12, but was sadly disappointed. I've actually had this experience before, that the KEEN men's shoes are WAY WIDER than the women's shoes and sandals. The webbing was above my toes by a good half inch making them impossible to walk in. I can wear a men's 11 in ASICs, KSWISS and MERRELL so why does KEEN need to make these so poorly? I won't even go into the fact that they are an impossibly ugly color.

Great concept, but the protection for the big toe rubs against the second toe which is partially in and out of the covering!

I have worn these and have several pairs of other Keen shoes/sandals that I love. I am now sad to say Keen has lost it in terms of the "flip flops". They are ill made, fit poorly and are generally cheap compared to the past. I am really sad as they have been my main footwear until now. Very disappointed!

This new model of Keens has diminished quality. I was an owner of a previous model of these Keens and was super happy. So I ordered these. The straps are made of cheap materials and designed badly, so after two days of moderate wear they tore the skin on the top of my feet. Thank you, Zappos, for exchanging them!

These use to be my favorite sandal as I have already owned and worn out two other pairs! But for some reason Keen can not seem to get it right anymore. Pairs 3, 4 and 5 have been all returned due to the abrasive piece of nylon that fits between your toes and the uneven straps that cause your heel to jut down on the raised edge of the foot bed. Ouch! I currently own four pairs of Keen shoes and boots that I love, so this is certainly an isolated defect. Lets hope they fix the problem with this once great piece of footwear. After all, that toe-guard saved my little piggies many a time down in margaritaville.
