I love Keen toe covered flip flops! Only problem with this shoe, which I really wanted for garden work, was the shoe being displayed in the women's group and being a men's sizing. They are a little big, the men's size 7 would have worked fine for the women's size 9.

I love these! This is my second pair. I bought the first at a regional chain, about two years ago and assumed they were a one-year-only. A piece came off the bottom but I save it to glue because I thought I'd never get another pair. Then I saw a student in our school with a mini-pair this spring, and I went looking on Zappos! Friends look at them strangely but often remark they'd like to have toe(s) protected too. These are rugged flip-flops that show no wear. I put them in the washing machine, too.

Really like these thong-style sandals. Last season I bought similar styled pairs - one by Ecco and another by Keen and they really rubbed and created hot spots, but these are extremely comfortable. They take about a day to break in, but then are just awesome. My only complaint is that out of the bag, the recycled rubber has a petroleum smell that wouldn't go away until I gave them a good washing with some soap and water. Definitely would get another pair if these wore out.

I love these. In some ways they are glorified flip flops, but they are really much more. The footbed, like all Keens, takes a few wearings to settle into your foot shape, but after that is very comfortable. I like the thick, non-slip, well-padded soles. The toe protector takes a few days to get used to, but just give it a few days. Once your toes get used to the feel of that extra piece being there, it's great. Not only does it protect your toes, but I've found that it even helps keep the shoes on your feet. I always have trouble with that from traditional flip flops. And, the rubber stem that goes between your toes is pretty thick and sturdy. That caused some minor soreness until my toes adjusted, but after a few wearings this completely went away. I even like the stripes. So, although you could wear these anywhere you'd wear flip flops, I'm using them as the perfect around-the-house shoes for warm weather.
I'd also recommend:
I'm rapidly standardizing on Keens for everything except dress shoes - they're that good.

These sandals are a wonderful addition to my collection of Keen sandals and shoes. They are extremely comfortable and far more stable than any other similar thong sandal that I've owned. The sizing is true to fit.

Love these flip flops! They are my 4th consecutive pair (well, technically the first 2 were the 'Barbados' model, which I prefer). After walking what must be a thousand miles in Keen flip flops, I can say unequivocally that you won't find a more comfortable pair of sandals. Highly recommended!

I bought a pair of black/grey Keen Waimea H2 last month. Love these sandals - this is my second pair. They are comfortable right out of the box and are true to size. I've gotten so many compliments on them and always direct people to Zappos.com since this place is the absolute best, hassle free shopping experience. And free shipping to and fro doesn't get any easier than this.

Wonderful sandals! I have a pair of Keen hiking shoes that I like so a couple of years ago I bought a pair of the Keen Waimea sandals for hot weather use. I wear them a LOT here in the desert southwest - our summers are six months long. They are so comfortable and long-lasting, that this year I bought a second pair. Just as comfortable, just as cool! They really turn heads.

Arizona Keen lover - I had my last pair of Keens two years, loved everything about them. The new ones are even better with a molded toe wrap. I wear them almost every day and have no complaints.

Great flip flops - This is my 2nd pair of Keen sandals. The get lots of attention - everyone notices them. The best part about them is they cover your big toe - so if someone steps on your foot it's not nearly as bad as it could be, and they are very comfortable. They are great in crowds, too, because you don't have to mind other peoples feet when you can't see yours!

These KEEN versions of flip-flops are almost the perfect shoe on every point. I still wear the ones I bought on Zappos over 3 years ago. I wear them almost daily in the warm months (6 months of the year here) and just absent-mindedly slip them on for everything from going to the store, the park, and a long trip, to even yard and garden work or trail hiking. They are supportive, comfortable, and seemingly indestructible. Throw them in the wash; they still look almost like new. The toe protector is well designed and gives me confidence to do things in them I'd never do in normal thong-sandals. I think I'll buy another pair, even though I don't need to yet... just for a different color.

Best sandal ever!!! I bought this sandal when I was in Iraq to help with the back and forth walk in large gravel. Since then I have not been able to find a better sandal. Light, rugged, and unique in its looks. The description of the sandal is true to its word and I can tell you that it far exceeds all my expectations. I have been looking for a replacement or companions to my other pair. I have not seen them for a while, so I think I'm stocking up while they are around. My only suggestion would be more colors and if that is already a done deal.

I love the ease of summer wear...slip off and on. I have owned four pairs of the "flip flop" style Keens and have been VERY happy with all of them. I have had foot problems; pain is no longer a problem. These gave me the arch support I needed and I wear Keens all year long in various styles. These are the only "flip flops" I can wear. I have my easy summer footwear!

I read reviews that said these ran small so I ordered a half size up. The fit was snug, a little skimpy. I could probably have used another half size up but hoped maybe they would losen up a little bit after being worn a while. Also like other reviewers, I like the old styling better. I'm not as fond as the webbing straps. But they are still well made. But the fit issue is a problem. I have never worn an 11.5 but that's what I should have ordered to get a normal fit.

These are good flip-flops, perhaps the best on the market except for Birki flops. I would point out, however, that they are flip flops. If you are wearing them to work, I really hope you are a member of Jimmy Buffet's Coral Reefer Band. The only negative I would voice is the paint splatter motif on the sides and soles which make it look like you are wearing used clogs.

After a lifetime of throw-away flip-flops, I wanted something sturdier and less prone to falls, stubs, and blow-outs. My choices were between the Keen Waimea H2 and the Salomon RX Break LTR. Both brands fit my touchy feet perfectly in shoes. Eventually I went with the Keens because of the familiar footpad and the anti-stubbing toe-protector. My conclusion is that these are great sandals. The fit and comfort is as good as my Keen sandals, because the footbed is about the same. The signature toe bumper, although abbreviated, works as well as expected. They are comfortable and reasonably attractive. One caveat: the toe thong is stiff rubber which, although it looks like it will last, is much harder than soft flippy or fabric thongs. Unless your feet are oafish tough, break these in a bit before you take a long walk. I forgot and raised a giant, bleeding blister between my toes that was very inconvenient.

I was looking for warm weather sandals that protected my toes - without going the normal Keen route. These work great. In fact, they have already saved my toes on one occasion while going up an escalator. The notch between your toes takes a little getting used to, but it is fine after a few times.

Nice shoe overall, good style, well constructed, love the toe protection which was great hiking in Hawaii. Only drawback is the strap rubbed slightly on the top of my foot (right under the tag). They should not have placed the tag there

I was first introduced to the Keen Waimea by a friend of mine who gave me a free pair. Needless to say, I fell in love and wore them for 4 New Hampshire summers. They eventually broke down and thus I ordered my new pair. The fit is still as great as I remember but the recycled tubing piece of the straps split in 3 places after about 3 days of wear. It did not compromise the strength but the look is not what I had hoped for such a new pair of Keen sandals. I will buy another pair but will steer clear of any recycled materials used on the straps.

Wore Keen Waimea H2 on a fairly flat 3 miles hike - comfortable overall except irritated skin between the big & middle toes. After 3 weeks of usage, the vertical rubber part (goes between toes) still bugs me. I hope Keen replace that part with a ribbon type - a well worth trade off if the strap droops a little when the rigid vertical part is replaced with a softer material. 4* for its current form. Keen Venice 2 would have been perfect for doing that hike. Well, my old beat up Reef Slap continues as my beach cruiser.

Have several pairs of this shoe. This year’s style has been changed slightly. The hood over the toe is smaller than the previous models and is not as comfortable.

I own two pairs of this particular style that I purchased previously. While one suffered a break of the thong (I suppose that's what you call the piece that rests between the big and next toe), which is irreparable, the other pair is going strong. I love these sandals as they are the perfect "hot weather" companion while sailing in light or moderate winds in the Chesapeake Bay. The toe protector has saved my toes on many occasions as I scurried about the deck adjusting the running rigging. I was quite pleased when I received the current pair, as they appear to have experienced a cycle or two of improvements over my previous pairs. They even have a more of a look of quality. Trustfully, the "thong" won't break on one of the sandals as I scurry about the deck. Thanks, Zappos, Captain Tony
