Good stuff, but not for all Frye boots. Don't use this on any distressed shoe or boot. It will ruin it. It will make anything darker shoe/boot darker so try it out some place you can see on the shoe.

This leather cream is clear and rubs on easily. I have the Melissa Harness boot in Redwood and this cream just enriched the color without making them much darker. Frye boots are an investment and this cream will help protect my investment!

This product was fantastic. I bought a pair of leather tall boots at a second hand store. They were so worn I thought they may have originally been suede. This product brought them back to life and I now have a pair of $300 boots for which I paid only a fraction! Used it on other leather shoes and it makes them look like new.

Before making my final choice for leather treatment, I talked with the good folks at Frye who cautioned that this conditioning cream may darken lighter colored leathers. This was in reference to the khaki canvas and tan Frye Dorados that I have. The tan leather is light enough that it would not hurt it if it darkened, was my thinking. So, while the conditioning cream is applied, rubbed in thoroughly, and before it really soaks into the leather, yes, it does darken the leather somewhat. Afterwords, I found the tan leather to have a richer color, and it helped to make the leather more supple for the break-in period. I recommend this product for leather boots.

Zappos, as always, came through with speedy delivery. Have applied the conditioning cream to a brand new pair of cognac colored Frye Arkansas mid lace boots. It didn't perceptibly alter the color, and use of a horse hair brush brought out the lustrous quality of the boot leather. Given our current dry Texas clime, I haven't yet had a chance to see how well it will react to rain water, mud, etc. I've just bought a pair of Wolverine 1000 mile boots (one in black, one in brown) from two other shoe sources (alas, Zappos doesn't carry the Wolverines 1000 miles), and will see how well the Frye conditioning cream will work with these.

Best shoe conditioner I have ever used. Can't get enough of this stuff. Make my boots look great and last longer.

Love this conditioning cream! I use it on all of my leather products, Frye boots, Fossil purse, Lambskin jacket, etc.. It darkens the leather, but is expected. Makes everything look brand new and great! It even took out some of the blue jean stains on my purse. I recommend!

WOW!!!! Just bought a pair of Jane Frye Boots and had a scuff on the top the first time I wore them! I ordered this cream and it worked beautifully! You can hardly even see it anymore!!!!

I own several pair of Frye boots and would never wear them without this cream. Protects them from weather and keeps them looking beautiful! A must have if you own any Frye boot!

Keeps my boots protected from the elements. Also darkens the leather, which I personally like.

Got it quick with awesome free shipping. I have treated several pairs of boots with this stuff and there is still over half the container left. I have not used my boots since I treated. But I followed the directions on the back of the container and my boots look good.

I'm an idiot, I didn't read the description that this product couldn't be used on distressed leather. I basically tapped my finger on the cream and tested whatever came up on the back of the boots I'd purchased and it lightened the color. Always test first. Love the boots! I debated about these boots for several years thinking they looked too tough and not feminine enough. I tried them on in a store and liked the look. The store had only the tall style so I looked too sallow for the ankle boot. The boots do run a half to full size big. It was super easy to order and I got the boots the next day. Thought they might be too big so I ordered the next size down, but I couldn't get my foot In without a struggle and didn't want to deal with that every time I put the boots on. The boots do slide in the heel - I could wear a bigger sock.

I ordered this cream because I was concerned about wearing my Frye boots in wet weather. I rubbed it on several pairs of dark boots and it was fine. Then I did my Vera tan burnished antiqued pair and nearly fainted. It totally changed the color of the boot. Darkened them considerably, but worse than that...removed the antique shading. My advice is...do not put this cream on light colored boots.

The frye leather boot cream is very easy to use. It puts a nice coating on the leather which repels water, snow and salt from ruining the boots. It puts a nice shine to the leather and keeps the boots looking their best for a long time. This helps to keep your boots looking great for a long time.

I actually used this to buff out some scratches that had accumulated on my Frye Logan Wallet, and was THRILLED to have it looking like new again! Now I don't worry about accidentally scratching it because I know I can buff it out right away with this! I did do a mini patch test on the back of my wallet since I'd read that it can darken some leathers, but I haven't had a problem with it. For reference, the Frye Logan Wallet is in Cognac, so it must affect some leather colors/textures and not others.
