These shoes are as comfortable as you've heard. I found the fit a tad short and returned them for a half size larger. Zappos was excellent, as usual for their customer service. My exchanged pair are exactly what I wanted; cute, very comfortable, and easy to wear. I have a narrow foot and the velcro closure allowed me to fit them perfectly to my foot. Felt like your most comfortable shoes right from the start. No breaking in needed. Well made and looks exactly like the pictures on the web site, top and bottom.

This is a great looking casual shoe and comfortable, too. I purchased it to wear on a trip to Mexico and it was perfect- a better look than tennis shoes. I have a wide foot,but this had a bit of give in the mesh sides. I would recommend it for travel and leisure.

I really like these shoes! From the moment I put them on they were comfortable. I felt like the size was accurate, I wear a 10 narrow/med. Would love to have them in another color as these are brighter than they appear in photo! However, I do wear alot of the lime colors.

I got a pair of these in taupe, and immediately ordered another in black. I live in Maui, and I also wear orthotics. I'd love to wear sandals, but (so far) I have not been able to find any with removable footbeds that look good and also provide the support I need. These are not sandals, but the mesh provides a lot of ventilation, and the soles allow for some flexibility like sandals but still some structure and support as my podiatrist recommends. The mesh is also soft enough that it does not chafe, and the edges are covered, too. My feet tend toward narrow, and these are a true medium, but using the strap they fit fine. They are very cute and stylish, and I can wear them with nicer casual clothes. I doubt I would wear them for a full day of walking as some other reviewers have done, but for every day, all day wear they are terrific. I'm hoping for more colors!

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY?!! I LIVE IN THESE SHOES. AT 73, I FEEL THE NEED OF ADDED TRACTION AND THESE SHOES PROVIDE THAT. MERRELLS HAVE ALWAYS SERVED ME WELL, FROM THE FIRST TIME I OPEN THE BOX AND I AM VERY "COMFORT CONSCIOUS"..IN OTHER WORDS, DIFFICULT TO PLEASE! THANKS MERRELL AND ZAPPOS..I CAN'T SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH OF EITHER.

Zappos is great, reliable and fantastic!! The Merrell shoes are by far the most comfortable shoes that I have ever purchased. I ordered them in taupe and black. I would like it if they had these shoes in dark brown. There is only one thing that is bad.....the smell. The shoes stink and so do your feet after wearing them. Even though they smell, it is worth it for the comfort. Every night I deodorize my shoes and feet. Small price to pay!!!

The insole is thin and should be replaced if you do a lot of walking. The strap is short which makes it difficult to wear a sock. Overall, it is a good comfortable shoe and looks good with a dress or pants. It is a good traveling shoe. You can dress it up or down.

Ordered/received these shoes couple days before taking off for Antigua. Wore them on the flight, the beach and for running around sightseeing. They were so comfortable and needed no breaking in time. The bottom of my feet are very sensitive, but I wore these shoes for 12 hour stretches with no socks or foot pads and had no problems with the usual blisters or chafing. Worn with shorts, jean skirt or beach attire they looked great, not big and clunky like some other water/sports shoes. Their versatility prevented my having to pack as many shoes as I normally would need on such a trip. Loved them!

I am a satisfied customer. The fit is easy due to the mesh. I have high arches so support feels moderate. This means the shoe will not be my choice for marathon walking but great for casual wear.
