Purchased as a snow boot for my 14 year old son, size 10. Fits well, he says very comfortable. Tough-looking boot. He's worn a few times sleigh-riding, no complaints. Also ordered the Canadian - I personally liked the ease of lacing on that style better (loops instead of hooks - can pull tight easier with no worry of missing a hook, etc) but he preferred look of the Crossfire better despite hook-tie closure. Either way a good bet, I would recommend.

Bought these for my husband (size 11) but returned for the next size up (12). They were a comfortable fit. So far the winter has been mild and not enough snow to truly test these babies out. I am confident that my husband will have these all ready for the next(?) snow...and many more(?).

Theses boots are lightweight, yet supportive. My wife liked her Baffins so much that she suggested I try the Baffins. The boots I usually use are White Pacs. The Baffins are much lighter than my White's and very warm in cold conditions.

Nice boot but the size is really small. Order one or two sizes up (I am returning mine and trying the next size up).

I generally throw these boots on after a day of snowboarding. They feel like slippers and keep my feet toasty when walking around Colorado mountain towns looking for a beverage. I get lots of compliments on these manly looking boots. Get some!

So this review will only be about the size for now. I just received my boots two days ago so can not comment on much other than size. Like most other reviews these boots run small. I am usually a US 11 to 11 1/2. I tried a 12 and were to small. I returned the boots (thank you Zappos for such quick turn around) and went with a US 13. They seem to fit just right. Like other reviews said these boots are very well padded and fit the foot quite snug, but I will count on that relaxing once I wear them a bit. I am glad I’m purchased these and hope
they live up to my expectations.

Really lovely boot, very thick, serious traction, nice quality.
The ONLY reason for four stars is that it is not true to size. Ordered this for my husband who is dependably a size 11, normal width, and this boot was both too short and too narrow for him. I am exchanging for one size up. I would suggest when ordering that others consider ordering one size larger than they usually wear.
Looking forward to my husband having a pair of these lovely boots to wear in a size that fits! Thank you to LLBean for easy exchanges!

I have relatively narrow foot. I wear size 9 in Merrel and most brands. These boots fit well around most of foot, but short in the toe box. If my big toe was a few mm shorter, would be perfect. This brand does not offer half sizes. Trying the whole size up. More room in toe box, but feels sloppy around foot. Stiff material unable to crank down laces to tighten. This is a heavy duty boot. May be more boot than I really need for cleaning off my driveway. The Summit is a lighter boot. Probably more appropriate for my needs. The fit of both boots is exactly the same. Both boots appear well made. However, the laces and the hardware on the Crossfire seem better quality.

It's tight fit if you wear heavy socks. I got an 11 and it was still a bit tight. They are bit difficult to walk in because they're a little stiff but the payoff is that they are warm and dry. I'm glad I bought them, Chicago winters can be brutal.

So I got a pair of these boots and they seem nice. But I ordered a size 9 as I wear a size 9 shoe and they were tight, too tight. So can't really say if they were good in the cold or not and that's the reason I only give 4 stars. Did wear them around the house and they are comfortable. So I called to get the next size up and Zappos has the best customer service I have ever come across. This was the first time calling them as I have ordered here before. Will update when I get the size 10 pair.

I was surprised and disappointed at how poorly the Crossfire handled icy surfaces.

I normally wear a woman's size 10 and ordered a Men's size 9. Needed a warm boot for ice fishing. The liner was snug against my toes with regular every day thickness socks on but the boot still seemed to have room between the liner and boot shell. Returned these boots and got the Baffin Selkirk which are nice and toasty while ice fishing!! They are also a lot lighter than the Baffin even though they are a bigger boot.

Following the directions I ordered one size larger than my normal boot. The crossfire was still uncomfortably small. I really wanted them to work, I'm debating ordering two sizes larger and trying again

I live in Montana and have owned lots of boots as I snowshoe all winter. The lacing system on this boot is the WORST I have ever encountered on any boot. There is so much friction on the laces that it is impossible to get the boot tight. I have gone through four pair of laces in three months. It eats the laces because they will not slide through the system and they fray when you try to get the boot laced. WORST BOOT I HAVE EVER OWNED.

I really wanted to like this boot. But in reality it was made for people in the North Pole. It says so right on the shoe so maybe it's my fault for expecting to like wearing it. It's bulky. I mean REAL bulky. Forget about driving your stick shift truck. They're light, and pretty warm but they are HUGE. And when you walk around in them it sounds like your being followed by a family of ducks. It literally took me 25 minutes to try and get them tight enough so my feet wouldn't come out. I could go on md on. They got good reviews.. Maybe by some Sherpas in Nepal who don't have to take them off, but I was disappointed. I trade de them in for some Sorrel Carrabou's and I would suggest you do the same if you are considering these for Normal human life.
I'd also recommend:
