My second pair of Baffins. Last year I purchased a pair of Baffin Selkirks. The Crossfires are mid calf boot rather than a high calf boot and rated for slightly higher low temperatures than the Selkirks. I used the Crossfires a few days ago in below freezing temperatures. I did some walking and a lot of standing still. They were very comfortable, very warm and very light. Again Zappos and Baffin came through. I have tried a number of brands over the years and for winter books you can't beat Baffin for warmth, weight and comfort.

When it comes to my feet, I take footwear to heart. Being an ex-trucker and out an about, having good footwear matters. With 2010 starting out to be the coldest year in a long time, I needed a boot that could help me make it. We all know times are tough right now. So I wonted something top of the line, but not gonna break me. When I found the Baffin Crossfire I fell in love. It was the packboot I was looking for. The style, the comfort and most of all price. I may not have tested them in the arctic, but feel if I had to go, these boots could hold up to the job. The name says it all.

Surprisingly light for a boot this size, extremely warm and comfortable. I spent two days building snow caves at Brighton ski resort in 3 feet of fresh powder, I didn't get cold or wet at all.

I just bought this boot and have been out in a 10" snow (15 degrees) shoveling and sledding with kids for 5 or so hours. My feet were beyond warm, bordering hot, so I don’t think lower temps or duration will be an issue. At first the sole cushioning/insulation didn’t seem adequate, but I got over the perceived comfort issue quickly and as I said, warmth was not a problem at all. I’m getting used to the height of the boot (I’m used to a lower cut boot), but the lightweight of this boot is a treat. I’m not yet sold on the tread grip though.

Just got the boots and they fit great, feel like slippers around the house. Not worn outside yet but they sure have all the features to keep my feet warm. This post is really about the Zappos value added service, fantastic! I ordered with free 5-7 day shipping. I got the boots in two days, Kentucky to Maine!

Very warm boot, I would advise to get the next size up from what you normally wear. I ordered the size I wear and had to send them back, which was no problem. There are a lot of posts that say they will feel tight and then loosen up,which may be true but I like a little extra room to wiggle my toes and wear thick socks.

Overall a very nice winter boot. Purchased last year. Downfall, the boots never stay tied. Annoying after awhile while hiking or long walks through the snow. That's why I didn't give it 5 stars. Very warm boot though and surprisingly comfortable for a bulky winter snow boot. Like the Baffin Canadians lace system. Better. Fit true to size and width. These boots have a break in period! Even says so on the Baffin booklet that comes with the boots. At first, they will feel tight! They will stretch! I only will buy from Zappos! They are the king of customer service!

I wore them while snowmobiling intensely and slowly going on some intense and steep uphill. Had them on with 2 layers of socks, got them soaked in a stream of knee deep ice water. Feet stayed warm despite being wet for the rest of the trip. Cleaning is hard but doable.

I recently developed Raynaud's syndrome, and it's made it hard on my toes and hands when I have do work outside in cold weather. These boots have made a huge difference to my feet. I was outside working in the cold, for a couple of hours, and my feet felt as though I'd left them indoors.

Great Boot for Winter in Alaska. My husband's feet were warm and toasty for an all day adventure dog sledding and visiting Chena Hot Springs!

Excellent product! Gift for my husband and he was shocked at how comfortable they are, how easily he can slip them on and off, and the warmth they offer. Looking forward to no longer shopping every year for a new pair of boots for him! These will definitely last a very long time.

I purchased these boots for my husband for a gift. He has been searching for a boot that would keep his feet warm in our frigid Central NY winters. My husband owns MANY boots that he purchased for hunting that promised to keep his feet warm for hours. They failed the test. These boots are the real deal! My husband spends hours outside everyday with his hunting dog and the Baffin Crossfire Boots always keep his feet warm. He finds them comfortable and he appreciates that they have solid traction. He is also able to feel the ground under his feet even with the ample traction, which makes him more sure footed as he walks in the woods. My husband is extremely pleased with his Valentines Day gift.

Comfortable and surprisingly light considering the overall size of the boot. Seems to have good grip on ice and the insulation keeps your feet warm.

Just bought the crossfire by Baffin and they are great. I needed boots that can keep my feet warm. I take blood thinners, so feet and hands freeze first. The Crossfire boots keep my feet toasty. Now I am purchasing their gloves. Chicago below zero these boots can handle. The fit is true to size and easy to put on and take off very quick. Best boots I've ever owned.

These are by far the best cold weather boots I have ever owned, and I have tried most of them. I was a little concerned that they would too big and heavy to be active, but they are very comfortable and I did not have issues with any activities. Following a big storm in NH, in single digit temps, I spent the entire day outside snow blowing, shoveling, walking the dog, snowmobiling, ice fishing and standing in 6 inches of freezing cold water jacking up my bob house. With any other boot, I would have put in toe warmers prior to heading out. But with the -40 degree rating, I wanted to give these boots a chance, and my feet were warm and dry all day with just thin wool ski socks. I've had some issues driving with other big boots, but no problems driving the side-by-side with these. I wear 11.5 and ordered 12 and length and width was perfect. I'm so glad LLBean started carrying these boots!

First pair of Baffin's. Not cold enough yet to give an accurate review but I love the look, feel and can't wait to get out on the ice. Ton's of padding for the foot and also the tongue. I can tell their going to be plenty warm.

I only tried these boots on for size and comfort. These boots were very comfortable and I liked the style. I could tell by the way they are constructed, that they would be a supremely warm boot. The boot has a very thick, removable, inner, lining. Since the top of the boot flares out around the calf area, I felt like they would accumulate snow around the top area of the boot. They do not have the snow collar, that some of the other Baffin boots have, to keep the snow out. I think they would be a good boot for walking through snowy areas, keeping feet warm and looking stylish.

I replaced a pair of 20 year old name brand boots with Baffin Crossfire. Wow, what a comfort difference. I've worn these boots snowblowing for 2 hours in -2F with -25F wind chill without notice. My feet/toes were warm and comfortable. The liner and outsole are so comfortable walking and working. I've worn them without socks in 20F temperature without issue. Looking forward to next weekends Scout event in the snow/cold. The boots need to be broken in a bit as lacing them up is a bit of work the first few times. Zappos typical outstanding service in order execution and delivery. Definitely recommend these boots.

Very comfortable and warm. Bought these "preseason" but winter came quick. Have worn them snow blowing and walking the dog in 10-20 degree temperature without a hint of chill. A bit challenging to get laces snugged but hoping that improves with use...and the way the season has started, likely to happen quickly. Overall, very pleased.
