These shorts are great. Perfect length and don't sag when wet. I bought an XL and I would compare to a size 14.

Great shorts that are thin and very comfortable. Size runs a little small so if you're in doubt order one size larger.

The best pair of board shorts I\'ve bought so far! Soft supple material that isn\'t transparent like some other cheaper versions. Sits nicely below the waist with a cut that fits a woman\'s body with hips, not the junior sized version. The 6" inseam is also flattering.

I wish these had worked for me. Best fabric of all the board shorts I tried. Best zippered pocket. Seems like they'd be featherweight and dry in a flash. I'm a 25" waist, 35" hip and bought the 2 and 4. The 4 fit better but were still a little too snug in the thigh for my comfort. I'm small waisted but have muscular legs (and no booty). All was well in the waist and hip, just not in the leg. You girls who have long and slender thighs might fair better with these.

I wear a size 8 but ordered a 10 thinking that swimwear usually runs small. I had to return them for an 8! So size runs true. Very cute, great length. I am 40 (5'6") and want to hide the inner thigh sag from recent weight loss, this works perfectly. I am so glad that I found these!

I really liked the cut of these board shorts. I am 50+ and very active. They fit my lifestyle without making me feel like I am trying to look like a 20 something!

I ordered Patagonia shorts at the last minute before my vacation this year. I am so happy that I did... I wore them constantly. A quick wash at night and they were ready for wear! Even wore them for swimming. Oh, I will be ordering more soon!

Wow! These were the answer to my prayers. They have a flattering fit, are lightweight, and extremely comfortable! I feel like these fit true to size like many classic brands such as; Talbots, Lands' End, and Anne Taylor. I think these are also like Lay's Potato Chips; you can't have just one!

Everyone wrote such glowing reviews that I got these. Thank you! I love them! You were right! I am 54 years old, 5 feet and 5.5 inches tall and weigh around 144. I bought the size 10 and they fit. Although they are below the navel, they are not too low. I use them for swimming and scuba diving, paired with a tankini top. This gives a nice, age-appropriate look with good coverage, without making me look like an Old Bag. They also work well over a regular one-piece suit. I've also paired them with a tee-shirt for sports and swimming. I also have worn them for winter running and going to the gym, over legging-type apparel for butt coverage. Love how fast they dry. The website didn't mention an elastic loop inside the pocket, which is handy to clip things onto (such as a small carabiner with a key). They are more than I usually pay for clothes but are not priced out of line for this sort of thing. I believe they are worth splurging on!

As others have said, material is fantastic, really moves with you. The length is just what I wanted, mid-thigh. Great for active water sports.

Love these shorts. Exactly what I was looking for. I wear them for swimming. Not too long or short. Material is forgiving and flexible. Great color as well. Easy to take care of.

I agree with the other reviewers and these board shorts are a great length and have a very flattering fit. If you're going for the pink ones (at least what I thought was pink) just know that in person they really look more purple. I was hoping to match them with the black and pink Hurley rash guard and the color is way off. They run pretty true to size as well. I'm a 6 and the 6 works great (I'm 3 months pregnant and because of the draw string I'm hoping they'll last the whole way through).

Love these shorts! This is my second pair. Unlike other board shorts I've had, these have a little stretch to them so they move with you. They are super flattering and not too short, not too long.

These are the best board shorts I have ever worn. They fit perfect and have a little stretch and a handy pocket.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers - the stretch is AWESOME. They are actually very flattering. I got the black and the length isn't too long and the material is thin and light. I would buy these in every color if I liked the other colors but they just don't appeal to me. Wish they made it in a coral or more of a lighter blue or pink. Even a white would be cool. But I am happy with the black. :)

These are just what I was looking for. I tried 4 other sizes and styles but the difference is the stretch! I went by the other reviews and ordered. They do sit on the hip kinda low, like a board short does. Snaps on the front instead of velcro so the laces dont get stuck on. I'll be wearing these at the pool with my grandkids and I'll feel good about covering the necessities! I will buy another pair!

Very comfortable and flattering. They do feel like wearing PJ's. Sit perfect on the hip. I'm 5'5 at 133 lbs and ordered size 8. Perfect with a little give and stretch. Even ordered another color.

Super cute and comfortable. Form fitting with just enough room to move. Great snaps and dry fast. You won't be disappointed!

I love these shorts. They're light and soft as a feather, and you can leave the top open a bit if you like, or tighten it up. The snaps and tie are both strong, so you can wear them tight!

These are comfortable enough to wear all day and perfect for surfing/swimming/general beach lazing.

These shorts fit great. They are nice and stretchy. Soft. Functional. Dry fast. I bought size 10 so they would be a little loose, when it's hot out I don't want to be wearing tight shorts. I'm 5'9", 135lbs. wear size 8/9/10 jeans. They are perfect and I want more in other colors, I got black to go with the earthenware suit from Patagonia and it matches great.

Great product! Size runs just a tad large but they rest on my hips. Very pleased.
