Best boot sock I have ever worn and worth the price (I wear steel toe military flight deck boots). I have worn the same pair for 3 years now and they are just now starting to rip due to wear. Three years is a long time for socks especially since I wear my boots 5 days a week, 9-10 hours a day. I do rotate my socks, having 6 pairs. They are very comfortable. I have sensitive feet and hardly feel these while they are on. The padding at the shin is brilliant. They keep your feet mostly warm in the winter time (spent time in Germany during the cold months on deployment) and likewise are not to warm that they make your feet sweat in the summer time. I naturally have sweaty feet and these socks do indeed keep my feet dry. I never have a problem with these socks falling down my legs or sliding on my feet. For the other two that had the problem, perhaps getting socks that fit?

I bought these socks for a trip to Alaska in January. They kept my feet warm and dry in temps down to -44, and are so comfortable I was reluctant to take them off even once I was inside for the night! the field. They stay comfortable and they last- after heavy wear and multiple washings they're still elastic and in good shape. They are thick, but snug and supportive, especially in the arch, and they breathe very well so your feet stay dry. Highly recommended for hiking, camping, or commuting in cold weather.

I bought these socks for my son in Afganistan and I received them in 2 days at no charge and he says they are the best socks he has ever had. They were recommended to him by his fellow Marines for wear over there. They work. Thanks for making his life a little more comfortable in a time when it isn't.

So far, great socks! I bought these to use with my Irish Setter Choremaster Tall boots that I also bought from Zappos. These are very comfortable and help to wick moisture away and keep my feet warmer.

Zappos was fast, honest and exactly what I ordered. Could not ask for anything more.

These are very good socks. They keep my feet warm and dry in the winter, through snow, slush, and just plain cold. Haven’t worn them in warmer weather yet, so don’t know if they’re comfortable then. They’re not perfect though - they keep slipping down off my calf.

These socks are not the quality I expected for the price. \r\nThey do not stay pulled up, I have to constantly pull them up or roll them over my boots, or they slid down into an uncomfortable mess in my footbed.\r\n Also, I have only washed and worn them twice, but they are already pilling. \r\nOn a positive note, they are very comfortable (if you can keep them up) with a very cushy heel and top of the foot. \r\n\r\nAgain, not what I expected for the money.

My son is in Marine Corps training and I sent him these socks. He said they are great for when they go on long hikes! Glad I heard about Fox River socks so I could help him be comfortable during his training.

These are very warm but not too thick. Not super stylish but cute enough poking out of the top of boots. Though I won't be using these for tundra weather or hiking through snow I could see these being useful for that.

These are nice socks! They are very comfortable and well constructed. They have kept my feet warm while visiting Fairbanks, Alaska this winter. I like these so much that I will buy more soon.

Finally found a pair of socks that don't require two pairs to be worn! I wear these with my knee high boots and they are cushy and thick. Only one pair needed! Make the investment! I wear a size 10 & went went with the smaller size.

These socks were recommended to me by a few friends. They wick the sweat away from your feet and have areas on the sock to help prevent blisters. I used them for a week-long hike, and they were excellent! Buy them if you need socks for the field.

These are the best boot socks ever! Gave them a four overall because I'd prefer to wear lighter colored socks especially in summer and they only come in black. And also it states that it's a three pack but it's a single pack. Zappos excellent customer service was on the ball as usual and sent another three pack (which was a one pack again) but they did send the third pair when I called again :-) I wear them with western boots and have them on most of the day at a farm walking a lot and riding. They do not slide down! They also have just the right amount of cushion and are not too hot even for summer.

These socks stay dry no matter how warm my feet get in my boots. They also fill the gaps in my boots nicely. My only beef is that I wish they reached my knees. They are called boot socks, but they are not really for knee high boots.

The description says this is a three pair pack, but it actually only has one pair. They do seem like good quality socks.

I wear these to an office that has a drafty floor. They keep my feet fairly warm but are tight and scratchy if just sitting still. Maybe hiking and walking would be a better use. They are short, perhaps designed for a man, and my skirt barely covers the top. I need them up to my knees and they are more calf-length. They are scratchy and tight and very hard to get on due to thickness and resistance to stretching and I am older and arthritic. They resist adjusting after putting them on, they are so thick and tight that I could not adjust them. I had to take them back off and try again to insert my foot and get the sock adjusted right. I kept them but I do not love them.

I love Zappos but these socks not so much...they are very heavy & tight. Perhaps for very rugged wear, not day to day.
