I ordered these boots in cream and they had a weird smell to them. Too bad, I really liked these boots so I ordered them in black, and these didn't have that weird smell, so happy. Zappos is the greatest.

Well, DUH! Of course you don't wear these in the rain - they're suede! They are very comfortable boots that you wear to be fashionable, they are not water-proof and they aren't meant for mud, either... they are to look cute on your foot and leg with some nice knit leggings... If you want warmth, I suggest, you up the size so you can fit some thick wool socks..

This is like the boot equivalent of those embroidered ballet slipper shoes you buy at trinket shops next door to college campuses. The sole is essentially cardboard: no support and no protection from the elements. I think it might dissolve in rain. BUT, they're cute as heck, the outer material looks suede-y, and you can put any insole insert in them that you want, so they fit my orthotics wonderfully. The extra-wide shaft fits great, and the boot looks equally nice pulled up or scrunched down. I paid full price for mine and that's too much for what you get; grab them on clearance.

Great boots-true to size. I bought the wides witch are a bit wide for me. I have received many complements on them. They will need to be treated before wearing them-they attract the dirt.

Very comfortable for everyday use, and nice style also. I have to use arch supports in them, but for the price, it's worth it. I wish they had ordered more in my size though.

I liked the look and weight (lightness) of these very much. They are crazy comfortable, keep my legs warm but not too warm, and are spacious enough for my calves. I call them my Jedi boots. :) I've had many compliments on them from colleagues. The only problem--and it was a big one--was the incredible chemical smell when I took them out of the box. I actually hung them on hangers in a spare, unused room for a couple of days with the ceiling fan on, before I could even consider wearing them. I don't know what the deal is with that, but man--somebody needs to fix that situation. They are otherwise very good boots at a good price. I don't expect them to last more than a couple winters--and I work in an office. These are definitely not outdoor boots. They are for fashion only. But they're good for that--really good.

I love these boots. As others have noted, they could use a little arch support. But with the insoles I got at the drug store, they feel like I am wearing slippers. I like them so much, I just bought a pair for each of my daughters.

I bought these boots to wear while on my honeymoon. Since it was in November, I wanted something that was warm, and still stylish. These boots fit the bill! They are thin enough to wear in Arkansas "winters" and warm enough for a fall day in the north west. They don't appear to be waterproof, and the lining while warm is kind of cheap looking. other than that they are a cute boot to wear with leggings!

I have wide feet, not a wide calf. when you order EE boots you might still get a regular with boot but with a very wide shaft. Why cant they specify in the description. Size 10 EE Extra wide means regular shoe extra wide calf. not particularly good man made fabric, but cute!

I received these boots very fast for which I was very glad. The color was light gray, not dark as on the picture. But it was ok, I bought them together with Michael Kors' Vicki Down Coat which was also light gray. But to my opinion these boots are definitely not for winter time, may be more for late autumn (not for rainy days) or early spring, as they are not waterproof and a very thin soles, and they are light and thin.

Nice middle of the road flat boot. A little short and a little narrow - I ordered 8.5 D and it felt like an 8 C. No worries, free return and I'll get the next size up. Please note: the description clearly states that this is a suede FABRIC boot. That means that if you get them wet, they will leak and they will pick up water marks and stains.

Cheaply made. Really thin soles, not good to use as functional boots, but only fashion boots. These were for my teenage daughter who is thin; the calves were so wide they looked like the boots that "Puss 'n' Boots" wears! We giggled! Thought they were "slouchy" but they're not. Thanks Zappos for the great customer service, they're being returned.

Really cute shoes. Very comfortable and they fit the with of my calf. I get so many compliments on them. However I did notice the soles started to peal on both shoes where your foot bends. Nothing a little glue can't fix, but for the cost it's a little disappointing when it happened the first week I had them. They also don't slouch like the picture at all.

This boot is smaller than advertised. The Calf is only 15 inches at its widest point that is standard for a regular size person. If you are wider than the average person, this boot is not for you. I searched high and low for the calf measurement and could not find it online. This should have been something they should make you aware of. Had I known this I would not have purchased this pair of boots. The ankle is also very tight, I struggled. This is not a wide calf wide shoe boot.

Don't be fooled by the term "wide calf." I bought these boots in hopes that they would fit my wide calves, given that they are called "Wide Calf." Unfortunately, they were still much too narrow for my legs! They also looked rather flimsy and, as other reviewers have said, didn't seem like they would hold up very well to winter weather. The sole also seemed very flimsy. The material on the outside was very soft, though, so I guess that part was nice. They probably would have looked good if I had been able to get them on.

This boot is nice for fashion but that is about it. The shoe does smell weird like the previous reviewers have stated. It smells a bit toxic which is rather disturbing. I have a hobbit foot and these are the ONLY shoes of this style to fit my feet. The shaft isn\'t the widest but it works. I have very wide feet and a bigger calf so if you are merely looking for a shoe for fashion, this is the shoe! However, if you want the shoe for comfort and warmth, I would look elsewhere. I do not expect these shoes to last a long time but I only plan on wearing these a couple of times in the winter so they are perfect for my purpose.

Decent - While the shoe looks good and fits well, (the shaft is a little tight, but it fits,) the shoe is of a very poor quality and the soles are thin.

Perfect color, ugly boot - I bought these boots to match a particular dress. While they turned out to be the right color, I find the style ugly and very young. Slouch boots are fine, but these don't slouch properly.

Great look - As far as looks, this shoe is exactly what I wanted. It looks very much like the picture, and the color and texture are great. The only drawback is there is hardy any cushion in the sole. It feels like wearing flip flops, not boots. I bought an insert for the boot, and now they are fine.

So wide around the the upper calf. Inches on either side. Definitely can't wear with a skirt. Probably not even pants. My legs are average in size. I will be returning these.

These seemed like a great shoe when I ordered for my daughter, the fact that I found 11 extra wide was amazing! But, beware, they are not extra wide, not even wide in my opinion. Cute boots, but they do not come in wides.

Nice boots, but WAY too big in the calves. Admittedly, I have very skinny calves - 13", but these were ginormous. Super thin sole as well.
