usually sizing is great , but the last pair were mislabeled .. 30" leg was 36" and waist was 42 instead of 46 ..

While they will work for the uniform I wear, I wish they wouldn't have discontinued the other version of these pants. This style cuts tightly on a larger frame and they don't have the give of the other style.

Paints are good but one of the pants had a clasp missing and I had to take it to a taylor to have a clasp put on the waist band.

They were a bit stiff to be considered work pants in my opinion, better as a dress type pant you could wear to work it that’s what your job warrants. More for an office environment in my opinion. They look nice, but just aren’t ideal for what I purchased them for. Just not for me honestly, that and the only button is the little metal clip like you would find on a pair of dress pants, which is fine, just not quite what I expected out of them.

I agree with the other reviews regarding waist sizing. What gives? Usually a 31 and sometimes even a 30 in some pants. Ordered the 31 and couldnt even close the clasp. Return was easy and got my refund in a couple of days. Hopefully the size up will be better.

they probably would have been great - but they were ridiculously small. i bought the same size pants for my husband that i always buy him, and he wasn't even close to being able to button them.

Generally they are very good work pants, but I found the front pockets to be a bit on the small side and honestly very tight to put my hands in, particularly if I had to take something out of my pocket. It's tight just putting my hands into the pockets let alone taking them out once you've got your keys or change in your hand. I'm 67 and don't have very large hands at all and I've never had this problem ever before with any pants at all, so I'm wondering if, since they are made in China or Asia, maybe their hands are generally smaller than American's hands are. I don't know, I'm just speculating about that. I have purchased some of the short pants and they fit beautifully in all regards and have great and very usable pockets.

I have worn these for decades, the toughest work pants even tougher than jeans. The belt loops will accomodate 1.25" width belts (or wider?). Fit is perfect, right on (42x30). However, they do have a couple of flaws:
1. The pockets are made of canvas-like cloth, very stiff, and a little shallow. When I recline in my recliner, my keys disappear into it almost immediately.
2. I have wished for decades that they used some other waist-closing method (other than the hook). If you look at the attached photo, you see that the zipper is what's holding the waist taught, not the hook, which is also slightly crooked. You can see that the vertical stitching is flared outward at the top as the hook is not working well. A belt will suffice, but if you buy them loose or lose weight then the hook comes unfastened. These pants do not feel tight on me, that flaring is entirely due to the inappropriate hook. And these pants were only worn once.

Purchased three 874 work pants two weeks ago and back pockets are so shallow I cannot button pocket with wallet inside.

I wish there were shorter inseams, my legs are kind of short. Overall though, great pair of pants.

I like Dickies original 874 but the hook is not sturdy enough. It falls so easy after a couple of use.

I need an inseam of 31 inches and ordered that, the tag on pants state 31, but they are longer than I need, and when I compare the new ones to other Dickies that I had bought previously, the new ones are an inch longer..

Bought a pair of the 874 work pants to replace worn pair for a birthday gift. Ordered same size as currently wearing and the waist is at least 2 inches smaller and can't be worn.

Good pants! Have always loved Dickies. Sizes run snug compared to the flex.

The size is odd. I usually wear a 30 skinny Lvc, so I size down for 874, but this is way too tight. With the buckle on, I couldn't even sit on a chair...Had to return it.

Size of rear pockets has been reduced. Can no longer place wallet in left rear pocket and use button to secure wallet. Very sorry to see after all these years of buying Dickies pants!

Pants are pretty stiff and are also high wasted on me. I'm 6'7 and got the 36" inseam. Plenty tall but with the waist being so high it's a little high in the groin.

The pants looked fantastic, but I ordered 36W and 32L and waist size was no where near 36 inches. Had to return pants.

They are definitely a good pant, but the sizing is atrocious. Order 2" bigger on the waist, it's a must. I have 3 pairs of slim dickies at a 32w that fit loosely but 874s at 32w will barely come close to latching. Seems like a common problem that isn't being fixed anytime soon

I have been wearing these for 25 years, I would give them a 5 star rating, but they never have many colors in 34x29. I'm a 32x30 in Levi's, but I love Dickies and don't like to have them extra long and sloppy or sagging, just right for skateboarding and working on cars.
