Had a pair of 874 work pants for over 10 years, wore to work and retired; then kept during yard work. Finally, gave to Goodwill charity when the cuff started to wear out. Probably a homeless person is still wearing them....long live 874 work pants!

My husband and I had just purchased an Automotive Repair Shop in Idaho and really wanted him to look amazing for the customers, And these pants where a BIG hit. He loves them and looks great too.

This was not always the case. I have been buying these pants for many years. I always seemed to be stuck in that in between half size. I didn't have to worry because they always had a hem to let out and extra inch but then they did not offer that anymore so they either fit or they didn't which meant I sent many back if they were made wrong. A few years ago it seemed another company was making them because if you ordered four pair you got four different sizes and four different lengths but lately this seems to be corrected. I received two pair recently and they were both exactly the same waist and exactly the same length. I put hem on and they were exactly what I ordered. I won't be sending them back. The only thing I would like to see different is a button instead of the clip fastener. If you want to set the button over it's easy but with the clasp you first have to hunt one down at a store then add it next to the one that is there and because it is sewed on and is metal it constantly wears through the thread and you are always sewing it back on.

The only example I can find of a good looking (doesn't look shabby in front of customers), durable, mechanic pant. I've bought them before, and will keep buying them again.

I have been wearing dickies pants for most of my life; they never disappoint, the look, the comfort, the fit, the durability and the affordability make them a great value. Love the 874 original fit work pant; can't say enough about it except that as long as they keep making them I will keep wearing them.

My husband has worked in Dickies for over 30 years - started in size 40; currently in size 54. They are the only brand that fits around his thighs and calves. His only complaint is the material is much thinner than even his size 44s. It has been 3 weeks since we took them out of the bag, and the chemical smell is still quite strong. We're assuming that will dissipate once washed.

I have worn 874 pants every day for decades and will continue to do so. The only other pants I wear are my suit pants I wear for church activities.

I always go to Dickies website to order my work pants at a competitive price. The only thing I would like changed is to get a shorter inseam I have to take them and have the shortened. But, anyway I have always and will in the future buy Dickies.
