These shoes look and feel great, but do not have a very long lifespan. The inner sock system is great and you don't even need the laces. The problem is that these shoes don't handle wear and tear very well. Within the first 2 months the plastic air area in the heel was broken and the lower started to separate. There is also lots of fraying around a crease that forms on each side. I worked through these issues for a year by using some superglue, but it's been a year now and it's time to move on. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I've had Vans that have lasted well over 2 years so this was just disappointing.

These shoes felt weird out of the gate. It’s my fourth pair of Globes but first in the Sabre line. I usually get the Fusion. I bought these at the end of March and I barely even got a chance to skateboard this season. By October the sides have blown out to the point that the sole is hanging off. Not happy for a six month old shoe.

I bought these shoes because I needed new shoes I have owned Globes before. However, when I got these the plastic part on the heel of one of the shoes was broke or cracked, so every time I walked it would squeak. A month or so later the place on the other one did the same. I still have them they are comfy and great shoes, minus the issue I had with them. I couldn't re-order them because they were sold out and just dealt with the issue.

I like the look and the no-tongue design of these sneakers, however the day they arrived the sole was coming apart from the rest of the shoe. Unfortunately I didn't notice until after I had already thrown out my old pair, so I was stuck super-gluing my brand new sneakers back together. A few weeks later the other shoe's sole started coming detached at the same place (at the heel), suggesting that this wasn't a fluke but rather a manufacturing flaw. If you don't mind fixing brand new sneakers these are good looking and comfortable, albeit not well-made.

While a good shoe at the start it fell apart with in a few months and the plastic in the back of the shoe cut loose of the cloth and cut my ankle to shreds. Stay away!

Had to return these. Wore them for 3 weeks and both air cells in the heels cracked. The shoe instantly lost comfort and made a crunch/squeak with every step. I've owned several pairs of Globes and always found them to be really high quality and comfortable. These ones disappointed me. Not sure if it was a fluke or not but I didn't want to risk the cells breaking again on a replacement pair. As always, Zappos went above and beyond with the customer service. Best online retailer, period.

What I ordered was an 11.5, the box says 11.5, the shoes are 11. A little small for my feet.

Globe sabre are the only shoes I've worn in the past 5-6 years. I love the extra padding around the ankles and the solid one piece design with the tongue and the ankle support. Hands down they are the best shoes on the market in my opinion. I am very disappointed, however, with my last three pairs I've purchased. The nitrocel in the heel of each pair has blown out in less than 60 days. I use these shoes for nothing but walking around (which I don't even do that very much) so there is no reason for the nitrocel to fall apart. Once they do a loud annoying sound is emitted with every step which is the least of my concerns. With no nitrocel for cushion, my heel is practically making direct contact with the ground. This sends an uncomfortable shooting pain up my leg and to my lower back. I paid a $100 and can't even get a few months of light use out of these shoes and Zappos isn't willing to even offer me a replacement pair. This is a sad turn of events. What do I need to do to get atleast 5-6 months out of my $100 pair of shoes? I'll even pay more if I have to just so I don't have to throw them away after I just broke them in. Thanks for nothing Zappos (and Globe who didn't even respond to my messages)

Up until now, I’ve never left a negative review for anything I’ve ever bought. EVER. If I buy something and it doesn’t fit, then I assume that it’s my error; not the manufacturer. Until now. Globe is the most inconsistent company I’ve ever bought shoes from. I’m a 10 3/4 and if I buy an 11 in any other brand, they fit perfectly. Until now. I’ve had to buy this same shoe 4 times trying to get it right. The last size I bought was a 12 and they were STILL too small. Unbelievable! I can understand 1/2 a size difference, but a full size and they still don’t fit? What a joke! I was gonna buy a size 13 but then I realized that the problem isn’t on my end. They just can’t make shoes properly from one pair to the next. The good news is that Zappos was here to save the day! Their return/exchange policy is great and makes it easier to find the right size for whatever you need. I’m down for Zappos for sure and I’ll continue to shop here. Thanks for reading and DON’T BUY GLOBE SHOES!

I have been buying Globe shoes for the last 5-7 years. Have loved the shoes and how the fit my feet. The latest design trend that Globe has jumped on has shown problems. Having the clear "air cushion" causes problems (from my experience). I was unable to last more than a month with out having the clear plastic under the heel brake/crack and then let in water or create a clicking noise when walking. First set of shoes thought it was one off, returned to Zappos (AWESOME PEOPLE!!) and ordered another set, that lasted just as long and now also returned. Now I am trying to find a shoe again what will work and have the style of the Globe shoes I have come to love but does not have the clear plastic. I may be trying the Globe Fusion or a different brand for the third shoe I have had to get in 3 months.

My second pair; I normally wear a 10, went 10.5 on these, width was good. I tend to not notice arch support unless its really bad, so as far as I know it's moderate. The shoe was a little tight (even with a half size larger than normal) until they were broke in, the padding will give a little and loosen up. Its worth noting the tongue is integrate into the side of the shoe and is padded so they laces are really not doing much other than holding the outer layer tight against the top of the shoe. So they are meant to be a slip on and fairly tight when new. Everything was good up until the air pocket cracked open after 4 months of fairly light use. The air cell seems only an aesthetic feature, as the broken shoe feels the same as the good one; so I have continued to wear them. Only issue with them now is that one shoe makes a different sound when walking.

Awesome feeling shoe. Sole started to separate within a month of purchase. Poorly made. Wouldn't recommend.
