Design and produce a better Blundstone? Bean could do this. I'd want a cushier innersole, I swapped their's out for a better one. (Merrill's generic innersoles are always comfortable right out of the box. ), I'd want a resole-able version to make them more "planet friendly", offer a women's specific last for the women's models. (I have a narrower foot). I've only had these a couple weeks, but their break-in and fit are much more suitable than the stiffer 550 whose added leather lining was problematic, (poor fit, blisters). Owning a pull-on, wear-anywhere boot has inspired me to part with unnecessary footwear-- which is a good thing.

I compound dislocated my left ankle several years ago and it doesn't bend so I love the elastic for easy on and off for a boot without a zipper otherwise I wouldn't be able to get wear this boot.

Many of my co-workers are very happy wearing these trendy boots but I held off buying a pair until I could try them on primarily because of size translations. The sale associate at L.L. Bean was very helpful with finding the best size for me. I like the boots, the fit is good, the style is fine, but, for me, wearing them for six to eight hours a day is hard on my feet. I do wear compression socks and will be looking for socks with more thickness in the foot.

It took me a while to figure out my size. I ordered a few pairs and landed on this one. This shoe is super comfy and easy to pull on. There’s a reason these have a cult following.

Comfortable, more then I thought they would be, run a little big in my opinion, I mean they seem wonderfully overpriced but all in all are pretty nice so far so I guess I'll consider them a treat. Feet stay dry and they aren't heavy.

This is my first pair of Blundstone Boots. I normally wear a size 10 wide so I ordered a 7 1/2. They are a bit tight so I went to the store and tried on a size 8 and they were too large for me. I am keeping the 7 1/2 and hoping they will stretch to fit my feet.

Coveted this boot- Got them - Double check your size - VERY different - had to go up a half size from what i thought ... Great looking, dressed up, casual - snow/ice no problems, warm and not using any special sock basic cotton I would buy another pair with out thought

I really like the boot, comfortable even after several hours of running around in them. I am a US size 10 Women's, and tend to be a bit wider in the toe joint area. These fit very well at a size 7 1/2 AUS. They appear well made. Fairly plain in appearance and not sure they are worth the cost. However, I like them and will keep them.

I love Blundstones but am finding that some have roomier toe boxes than others. Had this model for like 15 years before they wore out; when i went to replace them i'd developed hammer toes and found a lot of pairs were too tight (too short from the sole to the top of the toe). Got a black pair last year that was roomier and fit great, so thought I'd try again for a brown pair but these again are too tight in the toes. boo hoo.

The fit was fine. But because the boot has a narrow opening, it hit the back of my calf in a way that rubbed annoyingly.

I bought these for my 14 yr old son who lives in his chelsea boots. They're so old and beat up that they're splitting at the seams but he doesn't care. I read that Blundstone makes good boots, especially for wide feet. I bought the equivalent of a size 9 as my son's current boots are a US 8.5. He complained they were so big that his heels were floating. I exchanged them for a size 8.5 (7.5 in Aussie). They mostly fit but seem a tad snug in the width. Ugh. I'm going to buy some shoe stretch spray now to try to make them a tad wider.

So far so good. But why does Blundstone still feel the need to put "Tasmania Australia" all over the outside of the box etc. while the little label inside the shoe says "Made in Vietnam"? US half-sizers benefit -because I am a 6.5 the the perfect size was 6 or Australian 3. (they don't make half-sizes but the shoes run a half-size large). Spend the xtra time checking the Blunstone website for specific measurements before ordering. Very comfortable but after a full work day feet seemed overheated.

I had been looking for an everyday, easy-on, easy-off pair of winter boots for several months when I ran across these. They are more expensive than I would normally spend, but with my Bean bucks I decided to get them. I ordered down one full size as recommended. However, these were still too large, so I ordered another half size down. These fit really good. They are a little tough to get on and off at first, but that gets easier pretty quickly. The sole is comfortable, but it is a little stiff. You don't put them on and immediately think that it is a good soft, cushioned sole. The leather seems to be a very good quality and I was pleasantly surprised that they do not scuff or mark easily. I have worn them through snow and ice and the leather still looks like the day I got them. Depending on the pants you wear with them, the cuffs do get caught up on the boot pull tabs, but that is a very minor issue. Overall I am very happy with these and would definitely recommend them. If you feel at all doubtful that they are a bit loose, get a 1/2 size smaller.

there isn't much if any arch support in this boot - the 585 has better arch support but with a bit of a tighter fit. The stout brown is a rich and dark - a great replacement if you have a lot of black boots (like me).

These boots were perfect in every way...except for arch support. I loved the leather, the goring, the sole, the height of the shaft, and even didn't mind the double pull loops. However, my bony, plantar fasciitus feet just couldn't handle the flat insole. I did put in my orthotics and wore them around the house, but they took up enough space where the top of my foot was pressed too far into the top of the boot. I wish, I wish these would have worked for me, and if foot pain wasn't such an issue I wouldn't be returning them. Lovely boots for the woman wanting something sturdy AND pretty.

I felt this boot runs on the short side. If I would’ve ordered a size up, would’ve been too loose in the heels. Cute boot! But also felt too stiff- not flexible enough for my taste. It was very easy to put on and take off with the pull tabs.

Love these boots. Purchased AU size 4/US 7. I usually wear size 8. Returned because I found them 25% off at LLBean. (Zappos wouldn’t honor a price match) no worries - I love Zappos, fast shipping, great customer service.

i have gone thru 3 pairs of these boots since 2000. i had to return my last pair of AUS 13's because they now seems to run a little smaller. i ordered the 550 models in same size and they fit fine -- like the old 500's.

Love these boots. Wish they fit. 6.5 is long enough for my 8.5 women's foot, but not wide enough. I've read the 550 is wider so I'm going to give it a try.

I'm new to Blundstone. This was my first pair. I'm on the south side of 50, so wanted to say that I love the boot, once I get them on! Getting them on is a bit challenging for me, so if you want a quick pull on and go boot, be aware that pulling them on requires some work. Maybe a lace up model would be a better fit for me. I wore them in the rain, in the sun...they are nice and versatile.

I have been wearing Blundstones since the late 90's and I love them. The first pair I bought in Sydney and they lasted 10 years. The next pair, the soles completely fell apart and shredded. I literally had to throw them away while traveling in Iceland; they were unwearable after a couple of years. I've heard that they moved production from Tasmania to China and that's why the quality declined so much. That said, I love these boots so much for traveling that I'm taking a risk on this pair, knowing that if they fall apart, Zappos will make it right. I'm HOPEFUL that they will be my go-to boots for traveling, schlepping around NYC, can be dressed up or down and extra comfortable with an athletic insole (the insole they come with isn't so supportive). Wish me luck!

I just wore these for the first time and they are really comfortable. I bought them to wear in the fall/winter in NYC, to walk my dog and commute around town. I love the look and ease of the boot, and look forward to breaking them into a good, worn look. I bought them a half size larger so that I can wear thicker, wool socks in the colder months. My only critic of these boots is that they run a little on the wide side and my feet are on the narrow side, so they are somewhat more roomy than I would prefer.
