A friend has a pair of Blundstone boots and was singing their praises. I googled them and was so happy to know that LLB carried them. They are a higher price point than I would normally choose, but I had some bean bucks so I ordered them. I was on my way to a wedding and decided to wear them out of the box on the trip (with a backup pair of Asics!) and they are a dream. I normally wear a 8.5 women's and I got a 6 Blundstone. They are snug to put on and take off, but I don't think this is a negative. The fit is beautiful and they just feel so good. I wore them from 9a-10p and my feet felt great. These are a great investment and I can't say enough good things about them. My daughter is eyeing mine up already (ready to trade in her Doc Martens which is saying something) so I might need to save up the bean bucks for a pair for her. Bean doesn't allow discounts on these, so it is really the only way to reduce the price a bit.

I'm writing this because it may help clear up some sizing questions. I wear a US size 13 (and sometimes a 14). In Merrell shoes, a 13 fits great, in NB sneakers, I need a 14. The Blundstones are sized with Australian sizing, so a 12 Australian approximates a 13 US, so that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable. They are also lighter than I thought they would be, which is great and my wife says they actually make my feet look smaller. The top of the boot does fit under jeans with a narrower leg. The image on Zappos is seriously off with coloring. Stout brown is a dark chestnut, which is a very nice color. The elastic on the sides is a lighter brown, not red as the image shows. The Blundstone website has a closer approximation of the true colors. This is my first pair of Blundstones, although I have a pair of Keen insulated boots with the same pull on styling. I have a problem with my heel slipping in loafers, but not in the Blundstone (or the Keens for that matter. This style really makes for a comfortable, secure boot.

This is my 3rd pair - I've been wearing them since middle school. Got my second pair in high school when I outgrew my first pair. Those lasted about 10 years and now I am on pair #2. Currently I am a farmer and they are my go-to workboots. I got my first pair for horseback riding (I lived and worked at a barn 7 days/week for a while... they hold up). The quality looks the same as my original pair. I'll be interested to see how long these hold up. I bought a pair of RedBacks (another Aussie brand) which are still made in Australia, and although they also seem very high quality there was way too much shoe for me (too much and weird arch support, sole rocked me forward onto my toe). I sent them back and ordered Blundstones. Love them out of the box and I know the leather will get more supple with age. I recommend waxing them or weatherproofing with a heavy-duty oil (I use mink oil). This seems to help preserve them significantly.

I have worn Blundstones for almost 30 years, my husband has worn them for almost 20. We both have multiple pairs in various stages of wear ("dressy" ones, pairs for riding, yard work, etc.). They hold up extremely well, resist water and snow (and are easily waterproofed with SnoSeal or other wax dressing as they age), have good traction but not too grippy for daily use, and are extraordinarily comfortable for standing and walking on a variety of surfaces. They are extraordinarily versatile boots. Sizing can be a bit of a challenge, but the various models are consistent size-wise. I wear a women's 11 medium in most shoes, and wear an *Australian* size 8. It should be noted that Australian half sizes are wider not longer than the whole sizes. "Blunnies" have a roomy fit, so I generally wear a light SmartWool sock (year round). The elastic will loosen up slightly with some wear, so if you have larger ankles, don't despair! I ride in these and have not had trouble with the soles being too grippy. Make sure your irons are wide enough, though, as Blundstones will have a wider profile than a traditional tall boot.

Love these boots so much. My last pair I had for about 8 years before the sole completely fell apart. They are incredibly comfortable. I feel they are a touch wide...enough so that I can comfortably put an orthotic insole in. I primarily use them for riding and barn work, but they are adorable around town with jeans.

All reviews about sizing are true! I'm normally 7.5 --AUS 5 was too roomy, even with thicker Stance socks. I still had a little bit of room around my foot with the AUS 4, and that felt better to me. Also felt the AUS 4 fit better around the ankle. First time wearing these (can finally afford a pair!) and they're awesome. Thanks also to excellent customer service at Zappos.

One size too large! Order down at least half if not a whole size.

Love these boots — I’m a true women’s US 8 and ordered the AU 5.5 after reading reviews that they run small. NOPE! The 5.5AU/8.5US was huge — very wide, so much so that it buckled above my foot with extra leather, and much too long also. Returned for 5AU/8US and they are perfect. There is plenty of room for thick socks and the ankle fits snugly so they don’t rub or shift while walking (common with non adjustable boots, I think).

I am a women’s US 8 and after reading reviews suggesting to size up, bought the 5.5AU and it is definitely for an 8.5 foot unless you plan to put in new insoles or wear very very thick socks — I wear wool socks, medium weight and the 5AU fits perfectly. The 5.5AU also had tons of volume, so I believe what some say that the half sizes are a wide width, I just also think they are longer. I have a normal to low volume foot (average arches, bony foot without much muscle or fat, normal width) and they are snug at the ankle which is necessary to keep it on the foot when there’s no lacing for adjustment. Love my boots, love Zappos!

I have been wanting these boots for years, and when I saw them at LL Bean during a sale, I finally purchased. They are so comfortable, and look great with everything I wear, even dresses, with leggings and thick socks. They go from barn, to town, to hiking up mountain trails, then out to dinner. They'll definitely go with me on an upcoming trip to Seattle. Thanks for carrying these

Great boots that strike that blend between form and function, hence why they’re so iconic. Solid weatherproofing. I ordered a half size smaller and they fit great.

I love these boots! Comfortable right out of the box. Color is a deep rich brown almost black. I wear a 38 (7-7.5) and originally ordered AU 4.5 but they were too big so I ordered AU 4 and they fit like a glove. Thanks Zappos!

This recommended size was too short and narrow for my women's wide 8.5 foot.

My Blundstone BL500's arrived last week. I put them on and have worn them everyday since then. For a year I've wanted a pair, they've been on my "favorite list" and I would have bought them sooner, but I've not seen anyone around here with a pair to ask about them. Two weekends ago I was at the BarnSwallow in Charlottesville, VA and a lady there was wearing a pair. I was delighted. We talked about the shoe and when I found out she had a size 9, I asked if I could try them on. When she agreed, I was delighted. They fit just fine. I knew then what size I needed. When I got home, I ordered them. The lady at the BarnSwallow is a sweetheart for letting me try hers. She said she loved her pair as well. In a way, you have 2 reviews -- that's not bad, huh? Depending on the shoe, I wear 8, 81/2, or 9. I went size 9 because they're a boot, and closed toe. There is enough room for a heavier sock if I need it. However even with a lighter sock, my foot doesn't swim around inside the boot. That's important to me. Since I live in the country and work outside -- bringing in firewood, walking the dog in the woods, digging in the garden, etc. these boots are perfect. They also look quite stylish as well, and I'd wear them with a dress in a heartbeat. So, thanks Blundstone and Zappo's.

I've been wearing Blunnie's for over 2 decades and am now on my third pair. They are durable, long-lasting, water resistant and comfortable once broken in. The sizing is a bit of a challenge at first to find the appropriate/comparable sizing for Americans, but once discovered then it's fine. They tend to run a bit larger than stated and particularly in the toe box, there tends to be more vertical room than in other brands. They are particularly great in rain and snow by just adding a shearling insole, which can then be swapped back out for other uses with the original inner sole. The sealed seam between the upper boot and rubber sole is amazingly effective in keeping feet dry and it takes probably 5-6 years of consistent use to actually wear out the sole. The patented sole provides good traction and shock absorption. If you have a very high arch, these boots are not for you. I highly recommend Blundstone's if you're looking for this style of boot with additional features to protect you against wet conditions.

I'm a US Womens 9 and they fit perfect in the length. They are overall much roomier than other boots, so I switched out their thin insole with a thicker insole, and wear with thicker socks. They are the perfect winter boots. Very comfortable for all day walking around at work.

I bought these for my husband, because his old pair finally had to be retired. They fit and look great. He is very happy with them. I went up a half size, because I read the reviews that they run a bit small, but I don't think I needed to, because he said they were a bit loose, but will work fine with thicker socks so he kept them. I would advise you purchase them in your normal size and do not size up.

Great boots as always!!! Love my Blunnies, just hope the soles wear better in this pair. I had a pair for 10+ years from Australia, then had to buy a pair from the USA and the soles wore away much faster. Hopefully the Zappos magic is with these ones!

The most comfortable boots ever! I usually wear a 7.5 but I found that they run big so I ended up returning the 7.5 for a 7 and they fit great. They are extremely comfortable, well made, and stylish! They are a bit pricy, but worth it. My feet love these boots!!!

I've been wanting a pair of these ever since I studied abroad in Australia 15 years ago! Glad I finally got them...they're lightweight, comfortable, and easy to get on and off. I think they'll be perfect for rainy fall days and will look even better as they get worn in and scuffed up. I'm a mom of 2 little kids and these are perfect for throwing on with skinny jeans. Short boots are the trend right now, but I feel like these are so much more of a classic and plan on wearing them for years.

I already own a pair of Black BL500's - which are still in great shape after years of wear. Wanting another pair, I ordered the brown. The sizing on the Zappo's website can be confusing. I wear US 8 - 81/2 - my old boots are a 61/2 AU women's size. I went with that size rather than what was recommended on the website and am glad I did.

Bought these for my husband last fall. He likes them and wore them all fall, winter, and into spring. They've held up fine, even with his mile walk or bike to work. The loose but sturdy fit works great (he's picky about fit and comfort), and accommodates thick wool socks in winter. The quality seems fine, but these are his first pair of Blundstones, so I can't compare them to the ones that used to be made in Australia. They look classic and cute, whether with jeans or khakis (khakis sometimes hang up on the ankle tags, but it's a cute look in my opinion and doesn't bother my husband).

Super functional work boots. Not bad looking either. The back tag can be a little irritating if your socks aren't thick enough.

I love these boots! They are my work boots and boy do they work. I fumbled around a bit to get the correct size and Zappos service was perfect. It takes me about five years to wear them out.
