I love the style of these boots but they were a little too wide for me(I have narrow feet) and the leather at the ankle is very stiff and uncomfortable. If you're willing to wear heavy socks and wait for the leather to break in, you'll have a really great boot!

I have been wearing Blundies for approximately 20 years and I love them. They fit my feet like gloves with no breakin in time. I work daily on my Arabian Horse Farm and my blundies are very waterproof and I ride in them almost daily. These are my first pair of 490's and they are great! I have always worn 500 and 510. The 490 has a slightly chunkier luck with a more square-ish toe. It could be a touch heavier boot, as well. With the thicker squarish toe I don't know how they will be as a riding boot, but they are my favorite work boots around the farm and they look great with jeans when you go about off the farm. On the sizing, it can be confusing, yet Zappos has it made easy with their size chart conversions.

At first a little tight at the ankles, but the more I wear them the better they feel. I have a pair of Blundstone Steel toe boots as well. I won't wear anything else.

A friend from Germany turned me on to these boots, they are all he wears and I have to agree they are great!! I ordered my size and at first I thought they might be oversized but after an evening wearing them they are perfect. The fit is a bit looser than you might expect with a slip on but they stay put and feel great. I will be getting another pair soon. Also this was my first Zappos experience and I am a fan.

It's really difficult to find a women's work boot--or in this case, a men's work boot that works as well for the ladies as for the gent. I walk miles, stand on concrete and muck around stalls and pastures. These boots have held up really well and don't make my feet tired like other boots. They're comfy and strong. The leather is really tough at first (I don't see this as a sign of poor quality--just durability) --it takes a good couple of break-ins to make the top of the boot not bruise your shin.

I am thrilled with my first pair of blundstones. I am very picky and so was skeptical about ordering shoes online, but as soon as I slipped these on I knew I had found my next pair of everyday boots. They are supportive and comfortable and true to size. I have been trying on boots for a year hoping to find the right ones for me. And these are it.

I work in landscaping and these have held up pretty well through the use and abuse. I've worn these boots daily for the last 15 months and they are about beat. All the stitching is still good, but I've worn the soles out. To be expected when you're on your feet all day. Thinking about a second pair, though I do wish they weren't almost black initially.

My second pair of these in three years. Perfect for wider feet (the 590s are too tight in the same size). I should buy another reserve pair. Australian sizing is one full size less than US.

Surprisingly beautiful boot considering it´s a work boot. I know well how sturdy and stylish Blundstones can be. My other two pairs are five and six years old, and still going pretty strong with daily rough use. Since I am doing even more heavy duty work outside these days, I wanted the toughest pair I could get, but these seem to run larger than my Original 500 pairs... way too much wiggle room in the toe box in the same size I´ve been wearing, and since I am at a UK size 4 and they don´t seem to go down to 3 1/2, I very reluctantly must return. The good news is that my 500 is still available in a 3 1/2, so I´ll be going with my standby once again.

My toe felt too close to the front on these. Also, the tongue/throat of the boot dug into my shin unlike any other Blundstones I’ve worn. I didn’t want to risk these not breaking in. I was not a big fan of the light stitching either—looked lighter in person than photos.

I love the look of these boots and they are an all around solid boot. You can literally walk through anything, wipe them off and they were as good as new. The problem for me was that they never stopped hurting my ankle. I wear a women’s US 9 and ordered size 6. They were a little big and maybe that’s why the ankle hurt.

This shoe is obviously well made. They are a bit clunky if you like that. The color says "Stout Brown" it is Black. Mine came with one of the boots having a seemingly unmovable crease in the leather from being under the other boot. This crease caused the toebox creases to apply crazy pressure to my toes.

Definitely rugged. This is a great work boot that can dress up with the right outfit. Comfortable and easy to put on. Not the best grip but definitely workable

Love the boot, but it was too big for me. I ordered a women's 8.5, which I usually wear but this boot was too big. Also, the top portion was so snug due to the elastic on the sides I was afraid the leather in front would bruise my lower shin.

These are all my teenager will wear. I've been buying this style for the past few years now. I wish they were re-soleable. He does wear down the sole to nothing. They last a year. The leather is always still good after a year, but the soles are worn flat. He's picky with sensitive toes & these are the far best boots he's ever worn. They run a smudge large.

I rate these not quite true to size because the instep is tight, too restrictive for me to use my custom orthotics. Otherwise the fit is fine, with plenty of toe room and a good fit in the heel. The boots are difficult to pull on and off, being very tight to the ankle. If the pull loops ever break, I won't be able to wear them. Other purchasers write of a break-in period, so I am hoping the on and off will get easier. If you choose to remove the insole and insert an orthotic, you may find it more difficult than most due to the narrowness of the ankle section. And as I mentioned, it may not leave enough instep room. Despite these issues, I am keeping these, hoping for that broken-in feeling, and to wear with a thinner orthotic.

This boot is amazingly wide. I have a pair of wide RM Williams boots that are more narrow then these boots were when they came out of the package. It looks like a good boot, but it's wide. I only wore them for about 5 minutes so I can't comment on their comfort; style is okay but the RM Williams look better.

After only 18 months, the soles under the instep cracked and fell off leaving a foam that gets wet and does not dry. Once the sole fell apart, they were extremely uncomfortable (prior they were great). I wore these every day and so it should not have been a problem of them getting brittle from non-use.

Super disappointed. Boot felt cheap. The toe was so squishy on top- would not protect from much. On top of that the boots arrived in a generic box with no product information. The whole experience felt like I got knock offs or return product.

Waste of money. They sit there and I can't wear them. The leather is so rigid and doesn't give. They rub horribly on the back of my heel and have caused tremendous blisters. Awful boots.
