I have an overuse injury from my step that causes intense pain. These shoes, at first, made my feet very sore because of the firmness BUT that was a good thing - because they were forcing me to walk different. However, I usually get about six (6) months out of a pair of shoes. I got about four (4) months of good wear from these. For the price point, I would expect more. And they are ugly. Like, they ain't go NO aliby!!! I might try a different pair of Drews; not sure yet.

I owned a pair of these Drew shoes for about a year. They worked well until recently when the right side of the right shoe started to "slouch" and my foot could not rest in the middle of the inside sole. When walking, the arch of my foot slid toward the inside, and became uncomfortable because it felt like I was walking on the side of the shoe. What this says is that these shoes have no endurance after about a year.

I bought these shoes because I have neuropathy from chemo. They make it even worse because they are so big and clunky, so I stumble more than I usually do. Comfort was ok, but I expected more. They are also starting to stretch out so my foot is sloppy inside. And, they are absolutely ugly in their clunkiness! I was going to buy a pair for work and home, and am glad I only bought a pair for work because I sure wouldn't wear them in public!

I try to walk 7 miles a day and these shoes make it very easy. They fit very well, provide good support to ankle. I use Impact Gel inserts and this shoe has plenty of room. I've tried multiple shoe types but none are as comfortable as the Drew Surge.

Great fit. Not stylish, but if they last more than 2 years, then they will make up for the expense. Its nice that they come with both a thicker insert and a thinner insert. These will accommodate any orthodics that a person may need. I had tried the Amazon site for a wide fitting shoe. The Amazon site had one brand that went to a 5E width. These did not last long. All other brands went to 4E maximum in my size (8-1/2). Finally found these on the Zappos site. Relief at last for long days on my feet. Better arch support than many of the other brands I have tried!

I wear a SAS TimeOut 11-1/2 4E shoe, so I usually have to get a 12 5E shoe from Zappos to fit. Unfortunately, many of them do not fit since they are narrow for a 5E. These 12 4E Drew shoes are true to width, fit very well, and are very comfortable right out of the box. I only wish they came in a 5E so I can wear thick winter socks. Oh well, maybe in time they will stretch out. Otherwise, I am very pleased with these shoes.

Solid footbed which I like for my sensitive flat feet. Plenty of room for an orthotic I had been using New Balance but haven’t been happy with recent pairs. Thought I’d give Drew a try. So far, so good. Very happy with them

Very comfortable shoes with plenty of room for superfeet or similar. Feels a little larger/wider than size but I say that's a good thing! Lots of toe room and you will definitely appreciate if you have wide feet like me! (EE)

this is a very well built shoe, the size I ordered was 14-4e and I would say that it is true to size, I am a big guy and it gives great support, for the money probably the best shoe I have ordered yet!! and of course zappo service is the best, nobody can beat it and I will use nobody else for my shoes!!!

They have noticeable rocker bottom that was very comfortable compared to other brands like New Balance that left me walking "clown-footed" because of the stiff platform on those. I wear orthotics and a foot drop splint and even though it's claimed these shoes have extra depth, I found it was nowhere near enough for all my hardware. I'll try again for a size larger and a couple of sizes wider before looking for another shoe.

I initially loved this shoe.. The fit was Perfect and I wore them around the house for several days to be sure they would be good to go on the road.. I wore them after several days on my daily walk---normally about 5 or 6 miles. Unfortunately after just a few blocks I noticed the shoe was wearing a hot spot just below my ankle. I was unable to continue after another block or two and when I took the shoes off my right ankle was bleeding a little.. Not a blister as such but basically the shoe simply wore the skin off that area of my ankle. This type of shoe is higher than a regular running shoe but lower than a "high top". My problem is my foot cannot adjust to this type of shoe which hits just below the ankle. I called Zappo's and as always their customer service folks handled my problem quickly and efficiently to my total satisfaction.. Zappo's is the only place to buy shoes on line...Period!!!

The shoes were a perfect fit very comfortable for long walks.I love the style. They look great and feel great. Highly recommend.

I've been wearing New Balance 928V 6E shoes for many years and I could never find another shoe that would fit my short, wide feet. I took a chance and ordered these... They are perfect! No pinch points. The arch is just right - just like they were specifically made for my feet! I also like that they are taller than the New Balance 928V. It gives my ankles the support I need.

TThese are exactly the same as the shoes I bought more than 12 years ago that are starting to wear out. As in 2009, even at 6E they need some stretching. Granted, I have what friends have called "Flintstones feet," and these are still the best shoes I have had in decades.

I had purchased a pair of these in a size 12 Wide (EE) which I thought might be the same as a Brooks Beast running shoe. I wear only shoes with the most lateral support possible since I have always had severely pronated feet and wear custom orthotics for arch support. This pair was exchanged after 4 months when I realized that they were larger and wider than I expected. I ask for a 1/2 size lower in a D width which would not have worked on a Brooks shoe for me. The result was fantastic. My feet didn't slide around even with an orthotic inserted and I got much better lateral support which is natural to this shoe. I need shoes like this for formal wear because, unfortunately, I can't endure the discomfort of really attractive men's shoes. I'm just very happy this worked out so well.

Got them in mail. Put them on wore to work for 12 hour shift. No problems at all. Fit well felt great.

I will be 75 this August, male, 190 lbs. and live in a town where there are 4-5 places to purchase shoes but none have larger sizes for men. I have purchased other brands in the past but I decided to give these a try. They were comfortable out of the box and of good quality. After about 3 days they fit like a glove. The Drew Surge have been the best for and I'll be purchasing another pair in the near future. As always with Zappos the shipping is "fast" and if by chance you need to exchange them for a size larger or smaller, not to worry it won't take long...it's almost like UPS or FedEx has a truck standing by to deliver "your order". Great customer service from purchasing, delivery, and beyond.

After buying a different brand of shoe,also from zappos, I bought this pair of shoes the other pair were probably the worst pair of shoe's I've ever owned lasted about 4 months until they hurt my foot so much I tossed them, the Drew's have helped tremendously I can work all day and not be in pain when I get Home

Such a well built shoe. I first put these on at 6:30AM and wore them until 10:00 PM. First wear, no sore spots, no blisters, great support and the shoes were not too warm- despite triple digit temperatures. The only thing more outstanding than the Drew shoes was the incredible service provided by Steve W. and the Zappos Family. I am glad I belong.
