My best buy shoe ever. A great shoe! Very comfortable and a nice look. After 8-9 years of wearing, now I am looking for a new one, same model MW966.

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Whether worn for hiking or sport, the sole has great grip\/traction and it looks nice enough to wear out in town off the trail.

I used this shoe in 2007 to walk the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I took a 5 day trek from the Portuguese border to Santiago de Compostela. This was the only shoe that was comfortable enough to suffice during my training for this trek. I am getting ready to purchase another set of 10.5 in 4E as the New Balance store where I live sized me at 4E which is double or quadruple what other stores had me at.

Since I have a long narrow foot, these shoes fit very well. Construction looks good. I have bought several other New Balance shoes over the years from Zappos and they all have held up very good. I would recommend these shoes and Zappos to anyone that needs a narrow width shoe, since finding an A or AA impossible in a 15. Shipping was super fast.

I first learned about these shoes on a trip to Hawaii. We had a few minutes one day and I went into the New Balance store. I tried a pair on and fell in love with the wide size 10 1/2's and the rugged and usefulness of these waterproof shoes. I bought a pair and wore them virtually all the time for over a year. When they finally started signs of wearing out, I came to Zappos and replaced them. Still have both pair, the old pair for working in the yard, etc. The new pair for the daily wearers. The price on these shoes is too high no matter where you get them, but their quality and sizing is worth it. Many online reviews complain about the models New Balance is supposedly replacing these with, going forward and I'd have to agree. The 966 gets the job done. Don't change a good thing.

My husband is incredibly picky about his shoes because he's an 11 Narrow which is very hard to find. He absolutely loves these shoes. New Balance is about the only company from which we can order sport shoes because they understand narrow feet. I asked him to rate these shoes and he immediately said 5 stars all the way across.

I bought these to handle the wet or snowy weather here in Chicago and to use outdoors. Love the shoes, they are comfortable and do keep your feet dry. More important I like wearing them more than just outdoors. I recommend them.

Had high hopes. My favorite mid-high New Balance hikers finally wore out, so I was hoping these would be an acceptable replacement. Unfortunately not. The shoe seemed well made and was nice looking out of the box. However, the fit was too narrow (I wear 11.5 D). The foot bed was not comfortable and my stance in them was supinated. The heel felt higher than the average walking or hiking shoe. It just didn't feel right for something I would log miles in. Someone with a narrow foot and needing a supinating footbed might like the fit. I did not.

MW966\'s work well for me. I hike often and walk long distances in a suburban environment. They are sized accurately and look acceptable with most trousers.

Though a bit pricey for my budget, these shoes are worth the extra bucks for the quality you receive. I don\'t think you could wear them out if you tried.

Best hikers from New Balance - These waterproof boots are soft and light weight. Great for hiking in rocky areas. Usually I hike in trail running shoes, but these shoes feel so good that I will use them on a regular basis.

Best buying experience ever - I have had the pleasure of buying shoes three times from Zappos.com. Their web site is easy to navigate and their product descriptions are right on the money. Zappos.com's customer service is the best I have ever known. If they were running the country we would not have any of the problems we have today. What else can I say?

Best New Balance shoe I have bought - These shoes are the best. No second thoughts about it. They fit like they were made for me. Perfect right out of the box. I really hate to take them off. They look great, feel great, and hold up as advertised (water proof).

I love this shoe. If someone made a shoe just for me, this would be one of them. I love the casual, but handsome style, and they meet my needs for a very comfortable, sturdy, waterproof, supportive, well cushioned shoe. I ordered the EE, and it is a good fit for my slightly wide feet. The best thing I can say about these shoes is when I put them on and stand up, I have this uncontrollable desire to go out walking.

Excellent shoe - I owned a pair of 965s before buying the 966. A great shoe! Very comfortable and a nice look. Highly recommended.

New Balance NW966 - Great shoe. Just what I was looking for and the shoe gives me real comfort and support for walking.

Well made shoe - New Balance sizes are a bit smaller than expected. Plan for it in ordering.

I have 3 other pairs of New Balance shoes or boots in 9.5 N which fit me fine. These are too small. Have the lasts changed since they're moved to China? Alas, not available in 10N.
