Bought these in 14-4E for my 16 year old son, who has commented that these are easily the most comfortable, best shoes he's ever worn. Highly recommended.

This is a lot of shoe - ample support, very durable. I have little to no arch and these help tremendously.

Aside from the goofy red laces, this is really the most comfortable running shoe you can buy, whether you plan on running or not. And made in the USA.

I am a heavier runnner right now around 245. These shoes are awesome and provide enough cushining for me. \r\n\r\nI would recomend these shoes.

Made this purchase for my husband. This is his second pair and I was asked to order another in case the style is discontinued. He has sensitive feet, but finds these comfortable to wear all day.

I really like this shoe. I've run in Asics before, but I switched to NB because NB offers a firmer running shoe. The 993 meets my needs exceptionally; I only run for exercise and not for any races or anything, and this shoe helps me get in a modest mileage each week. I run 5ks and fun runs occasionally, and the shoes have held up well there too. They're a little warmer than the NB1093s I just switched from, but that's to be expected when the 1093s are pretty much all mesh and the 993 are a mixture of denser materials. In any case, if you're looking for a firm, comfortable ride for an underpronator then these are for you.

I've been buying the same sneaker for the last 3 years over and over again (I switch up the color with each purchase). Why would I do such a thing? Because this is the best sneaker ever made. The 993s are super comfortable and they look great. Don't think twice. They cost what they do, because they are made so well.

Great running shoes. I been buying this as long as I remember and every single on bought fits me perfectly. Ultra light, great shock support, durable sole, and it's also one of the shoes that is made in USA. Can't go wrong with 993.

My only issue with these shoes is that the uppers don't breathe as well as the NB's they replaced. They are otherwise wonderful! Made in America!

I am 55 and walk, run and hike over 2,000 miles per year in a good year--that's a lot of shoes. I have never wrote a review before but felt compelled to do so as this is the best shoe I ever owned, and the other models of New Balance I currently own (845 and 927) also excellent. Perfect fit; very comfortable; protect my feet; good for all surfaces; stable; excellent quality and made in the USA! That's it! I'm sold and doubt I will ever buy anything other than New Balance. Just purchased a pair of the grey 993's. Possibly the best running shoes I've ever worn. The quality is fantastic and the cushioning is much improved from the 992, which was also a great shoe despite the harsh criticism it got. The 993 runs small so buy your pair a half size bigger than your normal size. The only thing I don't like about the 993 is the look of the midsole. I like the sophisticated, flowing look of the 992's midsole better. In any case, the 993 is clearly one of the best running shoes available today. Can't wait to see what New Balance has planned for the 994.

The foot doctor my husband went to for foot pain recommended New Balance and I have bought several pairs for other people in the family. This pair was for my granddaughters boyfriend who has back pain and now he is wearing New Balance for the first time and his back is better. Stick with a winner!

I love ordering from Zappos because it is so difficult to find wide sizes in shoe stores. Because Zappos doesn't charge for ordering and returning shoes until I found the right shoe in the right size, I am very happy with the 4 different styles of shoes I now own.

I picked them for their black color, and for the good reviews they got. I was worried about size so I ordered them in Wide for both my husband and myself. We both have high insteps (thick feet from top to bottom) and I needed room for insoles. I usually wear 9 to 9/2, and am glad I got the 9 1/2. They are a bit large, but I like that. Totally don't rub sides of my feet. I totally recommend these shoes, and yes, they really do look GREAT with jeans!

What a time saver. I hate going out looking for shoes to find the pair you really want and they don\'t have your size. I spent maybe 20 to 30 minutes shopping the brand and size I wanted and bingo! Done! 3 days later there on my front porch\r\nwaiting for me to put them on. Free Shipping. \r\n Can\'t do much better than that.

The department store could not get this shoe in my size. My wife suggested Zappos and ordered it. It arrived in just a few days and fit perfectly. Zappos saved the day and my feet. There are not many size 12 1/2 athletic shoes available and this one is so comfortable and gives good arch support.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever bought (besides my pair of 992s). I'm a big guy with big feet and having the ability to get them extra wide is awesome. Oh and the transaction through Zappos is the best I've come across on the web.

New Balance 993 is the bomb! After careful considerations, and seeing other guys sporting these sneakers, I finally broke down and purchased them. Let me say they are sweet-looking and very comfortable. After 7+ hours in them, I did not felt the need to kick them off. It was hard deciding which color I wanted: navy, black or the original gray. I chose the 3rd choice and they're stylish with workout pants/shorts or a pair of denim jeans. When I get another chance I'll purchase the navy ones.

Perhaps the best running shoe made. Comes in a huge variety of sizes so the perfect fit is almost assured. I use orthotics and these shoes accommodate them perfectly. Excellent support and the best part, MADE IN THE USA!
