This shoe is sleek but quickly loses its savor if you are an avid social/ballroom dancer. It may have been my particular pair, but the felt on the heel wore away quickly and the supposed insole cushioning that is to protect your metatarsal pads is more of a suggestion than an assurance. As a physical therapist who dances/competes and actively treats dancers, this particular shoe has some way to go before I would consider recommending it. Unless you have flat feet, the arch support does not provide full contact, and there is literally zero padding under the metatarsal heads. So! If you decide to purchase a pair, do so if you don't plan on dancing for more than an hour, or have a pair of "toe undies" or like product that will provide adequate cushion to your forefoot and toes over multiple uses. An additional trip to the cobbler to have the heel capped with protective suede would also be advisable.

Love these shoes! Felt like old favorites on the second use. I wear either and 8 or 8.5 and the 8.5 were perfect. I wear them for Latin dancing and they're the perfect heel height, flexibility, and grip. Will be replacing with the same again and again.

One of my favorite dancing shoes. I can dance for hours with the Bloch shoes. Truly comfortable. They don't hurt your feet at all. I Own Block Nicola in different colors. Love it. Highly recommended for ballroom dancing. Great arch support.

I love these shoes! I was worried when I purchased them because of a few negative reviews on here. I went to a local dance shop and tried on lots of shoes. These were the only shoes that would fit my narrow feet. They only had them in black and it was going to take almost 2 weeks for them to get them in. So I ordered them from Zappos and got them a lot faster! Plus if they didn't fit for some reason there was no worries because of the free shipping both ways. I love that! About the shoes now. They are very pretty. The tan color looks great with every color of dress/ outfit. The color is perfect as it doesn't draw too much attention to your feet. I did have to order a 1/2 size larger because the heel area fit to tight. They are so comfortable and I love that the strap you just pull on to tighten, you don't have to search for the hole. My feet feel great while dancing and afterward. I dance at least 5 hours a week and have had them for about a month and no problems so far. One small disappointment and the pull strap leather has started peeling where it tightens at. Not too big of a deal right now, hopefully the strap won't tear completely. Still don't regret my purchase though. =)

These shoes look great on. They are so light. Great for salsa dancing. I order both the black and the natural.

Love the shoes. I was wearing regular dress shoes for salsa lessons and then I bought these and yes they made a difference! Bought a half size smaller than what I usually wear and that was perfect. Wore them with thin socks while breaking them in.

Great dancing shoes! The other reviews were correct - they are a snug fit, but not uncomfortably so (less than half a size), which is good for a dancing shoe.

They are very soft and comfortable and beautiful. Run small. I needed to get a size bigger. I would recommend it to a friend. They are great for dancing!

Little black shoe - These shoes are great! I needed a pair of salsa shoes, and they had to be black! I ordered a 10 and 11, and kept the 11's. I usually wear 10's in everything else, but I have noticed that this particular brand, bloch, I have to go up one full size! Honestly though, I love them! This is the second pair of dancing shoes I have bought, and their perfect! I wish regular shoes fit as nice!

Beautiful - This shoe is beautiful and fits perfectly. I am saving it for New Year’s Eve. After that I can tell everyone how great it was to dance in.

Dancing shoes! These shoes fit great and are extremely comfortable. The adjustable ankle strap, using a different kind of buckle, can be as tight or as loose as you want, and doesn't have any buckle holes to stretch out. They are light and great for dancing all night long! But don't wear them outside - they have suede bottoms!

I cannot wait to get these. I ordered, tried them on, and think they are going to be great. With awesome soft soles that will be good for spinning. However, they were too narrow in the front. I am always an 8, and am now returning them to try an 8½. I hope they fit!

This is a beautiful pair of dancing shoes and they are comfortable. However, be aware that they do run about half a size smaller and they are bit narrow (I have very narrow feet and they are tight on me). I have to return them but I am considering getting this pair 1/2 a size bigger.

Pretty shoe on the foot. Looks nice with pretty much anything. Fits well. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8, and the 8 left no room to spare. I would like more padding on the ball of the foot. After a one hour class, my feet hurt, but I don't wear heels very often these days.

almost great, if it came in my size - size 11 too small (even though I wear 11s) But it looks like it would be a good shoe if they made an 11.5 or 12. The heel cup fits snugly. I find that T-straps give the best tightness. The front might be questionable in a larger size (if it goes wider, then my foot would slide out), but that's pure speculation :?

Love them! I absolutely love these shoes for salsa. They were my first pair and they are very very comfortable. Great for a first pair of dance shoes.

I always make use of others' reviews but have never written any myself, so it's time to pay it forward! I purchased these directly from a Bloch store as baby's first pair of ballroom dance shoes (for salsa and Latin dance). At first, I was delighted because, compared to regular heels they felt much lighter, made turns and spins easier to execute, and didn't cut in or leave blisters (except in one spot on one of my big toes due to the one too-tight lowest strap digging in after hours of dancing). However, as a reviewer below noted, they quickly lost their luster due to their lack of support. There is almost no cushioning in the front for your metatarsal pads and this will cause much pain in the long run considering that in Latin dances your weight is usually on the ball of your foot. Also, at this price point, the material quality is poor. I used them 1-2x/week for only about 3 months and the leather is already scraping off on the heels and straps. If only Bloch could use the comfort and technology of their DRT dance sneaker and apply it to their ballroom heels! I'm still on a quest for the perfect salsa shoe, but I did a side-by-side comparison in my apartment wearing both the Blochs and my new Very Fines (S9216) and the difference was significant! The ball of my foot in the Blochs could feel every step/pounding of the floor and I felt much more unstable. The Very Fines provided more shock absorption/cushioning and noticeably felt sturdier. The Blochs actually felt completely flimsy next to these! These shoes would only be suitable for someone doing very light dancing for very short periods of time. Good luck and happy dancing!

I bought three different dance shoes and this one was the worst. I felt uncomfortable as soon as I slipped them on, standing was even worse. I'm returning them as we speak.

I purchased Black Bloch Nicola because they look fabulous. I have worn them only nine times and the side straps are breaking off at the buckle. I would not recommend these shoes.
