Bought these for my daughter. She loves them. Very comfortable and stylish. I'm glad I listened to the reviews and bought a half size larger than her normal size.

Pretty shoes, but the top of the toe box pressed on the big toenail on my slightly bigger foot. I know I'd regret that halfway through a dance evening. The left shoe felt quite good. The right one, not so much. I usually buy open toed dance shoes for that reason, but thought I'd give it a try. My rating said "no arch support", but I do have pretty high arches, so maybe they'd have enough support for other people. Bloch makes nice shoes, but I think I'll bite the bullet and spend twice the money for a new pair of Diamante shoes that have good arch support and a shaped footbed.

Like other reviewers, I found I had to order a full size larger in this shoe than my regular street shoe size (a half size larger than my dance shoe size). I bought them for ballroom, and I like their retro look. They aren't quite as comfortable as I had hoped: my feet start hurting after about an hour and a half of dancing. There isn't enough padding on the ball of the foot. Still, they are more comfortable than other dance shoes I've tried.

I got the tan/light brown color which is very attractive. As advised by others, I ordered a full size up from 8.5 wide to 9.5 wide. Heel and ball of foot fit perfectly and the shoe is cute. However, there is not much room for toes, at least for me. The padding under the ball of the foot does not cushion the foot adequately for a night of dancing, and I weigh 125 pounds.

I wear an 8 narrow and although these fit in the width, they were way to small in the toe both in size 8 and 8.5. I also did not like the stiffness of the leather, was expecting higher quality from Bloch.

The style and comfort is fine (though not a perfect fit), but it's really cheaply made and the straps definitely look cheap; this one is going back.

Squeaky! Not a good thing in a character shoe. Or any shoe. Thus, the low overall rating. Beautiful style and very comfortable though. And it looks like other buyers haven't mentioned the squeak. Maybe I got a bad pair, but I'll be going back to Capezios next time to be on the safe side.

The perfect dancing shoes!

The shoes are really lovely, but not quite right for my daughter......we will be returning. She felt that her toes were a little bit crowded, and wants a lower wider heel to start with. I suspect that the elastic gussets are a brilliant idea and will work very well. I did not notice elastic until I had the shoes in hand, Elastic area is sort of on the side of the ball of the foot, and the color match to the leather is amazingly good.

I'm glad i read the reviews - they're true - you will need to order the next size larger than usual. great dancing shoe - comfy & stylish. I ordered a size 10 but it doesn't look that large and fits my size 9 foot.

These are great shoes - just not for me. I have a painful left little toe situation and they have a firm toe box - it rubs and it hurts. The right shoe fits nicely. I am typically a size 7. I danced for many years and have always loved Bloch. I was buying these for a special event, not necessarily for dancing.

I would have loved this shoe for ballroom dancing if it had been just a bit wider. I normally wear a 5 Medium but this was very narrow and tight in the toe area. I would not be able to order a larger size because the rest of the shoe fits as it should from toe to heel.

I love theses shoes I ordered a half of size up I wear a 5.5 I ordered a size 6. I have not tried them in with tights or stocking so u may want to order one size up for toe room, but don’t forget they stretch. Adorable . I put a vintage shoe clip on it too dress it up if I decide to wear to a special event. I can’t dance in high heels no one should dance in high heels unless they want issues down the road. These shoes are made for dancing and that just what they will do. Adorable and comfortable sexy shoes

My foot is about 9.75" and the 9.5 was a little short for me. I would order a 10 for that foot length.

Comfortable dance shoe with vintage flair.

Very comfortable shoe. It is very flexible for dancing and does not cut into my foot anywhere. I think the fit is appropriate for a dance shoe, meaning it is snug.

To be clear, I think these are true to size... for a dance shoe. My teenage daughter likes her shoes to fit close to the foot, and so these fit in her usual size. With no sock or liner, she made it through a rehearsal with minor hot spots but no blisters yet. The reinforced shank of the shoe feels very supportive to her. The t-strap style adds a little elegance but also reduces pressure on the top of the foot, compared to a mary jane. The heel post (not cup) is slightly more delicate than some character shoes, so she's having to get used to a little less stability. Bottom line: she's comfortable, confident, and getting compliments from the rest of the company!

Normally wear a 6.5 shoe (American sizing) - had to order these in size 8 as I have had to with my other Blochs (my mesh dance sneakers). This split flex is just wonderful !!!!

XLNT dance shoe. Wore for the first time yesterday in class. Fantastic. I did have to exchange my seven for a 7 1/2.

Very pretty split flex character shoe. I take a 6 and am on the wider side... I ordered a 6.5 and a 7... the 7 fits well. I was surprised that the width fit.

These are lovely shoes but bona fide dancing shoes. Didn't realize that when I ordered them so they're going back.

Very comfortable dancing shoe but seriously, believe the reviewers who say order 1 size larger. I ordered 1/2 size up and these are too small so will be sending back and reordering. I love the look of this shoe and can't wait to wear it dancing.
