Interesting shoe. I would submit a little too casual for your typical work atmosphere; however, they are comfortable and 'bouncy'. Lots of room in the toe box and they look a little wide however for a casual shoe that's not too dressy they do the job. I find the soles a little weird in that they make the shoes look raised up off the ground a little (ie. the edge of the shoe does not sit flush with the ground as a typical shoe does). I'm warming up to these the more I wear them...mostly because of their comfort I suppose.

This is a great comfort loafer, while they last. Point being that the sole just is not meant for long term wear. The wool insoles are a nice touch for the occasional bear foot wearing, keeps the moisture down. Also I have found with various Patagonia shoes where most of the support is built into the insole that the arch sometimes is off from where the arch of my foot is, where with the Pau the arch sits in comfortable alignment with my foot.

Very comfortable throw about kinda slip-on shoes. What I liked about them is they have a really no-frills look. They are comfortable and great for travel. I often wear them without socks and they wick very well. Had them for over a year now and their aging is also very nice.

Gave these as a gift for my husband. He loves them and says they are extremely comfortable. Thought about buying another pair in case they are ever discontinued. They fit true to size. He Also thought the wool lining to be breathable and good for preventing sweaty feet. Only drawback: I felt they got an unattractive crease on the upper toe area after being worn just a time or two. I was a little disappointed in how the leather creased so soon- did not expect that for the price of this shoe.

These shoes are well-constructed; the distinctive stitching is sturdy and the leather is of great quality. I bought them because the style struck me as extremely versatile, and upon delivery I was not disappointed. I have been thoroughly pleased with my purchase during the three months that I have worn them so far. I ordered a pair in velvet brown. It may just be the settings on my computer monitor, but in the Zappos photos they seem almost grey in appearance; this is not true. They are actually a much richer dark brown. Not that I am complaining. Also be aware that these run large. I normally wear a size 8½, and after ordering half a size down, they are still a rather relaxed fit.

While these shoes are extremely comfortable and look great, the soft gummy sole does not hold up to day to day use. I wore through the sole in less than 6 months. By far the quickest I have ever gone through a pair of shoes in my life. I would not recommend these until the sole has been made more rugged.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I purchased for my partner. The first lasted 5 years of almost daily office work use (eventually the sole wore through - might not last as long if you spend lots of time walking on concrete). Overall, these look dressy enough for work, but are much more comfortable then your typical loafer. Highly recommended!

These are in my top 5 most comfortable shoes ever (I'm 40). No break in period. Immediately feels like you're walking on clouds. They stretch out a bit, so maybe go down half a size, but it probably depends on your size.

I have had these shoes for about two years and love them. They are very comfortable and are wearing very well. The leather looks great, the soles still have quite a bit of life left, and they breath well (and do not stink). I highly recommend them.

Getting ready to order my third pair. I wear them out on the town as well as in the operating room as a surgeon. Even with extended cases, these shoes keep my feet comfortable and dry. I only hope they don't stop making them!

Aside from the shoe itself (which I have worn for 3-years & replacing), the service I received in returning a pair & buying this new pair is incredible. It seemed as though by the time I emailed the order it was on my door step - Impressive.

These are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever owned. They fit like a glove and felt great right out of the box with zero break-in time. They look great with jeans or business casual attire. I constantly get compliments on them. I am sold on Patagonia's quality and comfort. I have had them for about a year and while I may only wear once or twice a week, I would like to wear them more often!

If you are into minimal footwear these are the best loafers currently on the market for look and feel: Wide toe box, very flexible, minimal heel drop, and works well with khakis or jeans for work. I wish Patagonia made this shoe in black as well.
I ride my bike to work and put at least 10K steps a day in these since July and they did stretch out some, but still look great.
I replaced the insole with the "Spenco: Comfort Insoles Flat" for a zero heal drop. Runs large one full size for me.

Dressy enough to wear with button up shirt plus extremely comfortable. Wanted a dress shoe that felt like a minimalist running shoe. Extremely comfortable, definitely recommend.

There shoes hold up well and are very comfortable. Just make sure you wear socks with them. I ruined the first pair I had by not wearing them one time. Once they smell, they smell.

Love these shoes -- comfortable and really nice looking. The shoes lost a star because my feet sweat so much in them that I only wear them a few days a month.

I've had a pair of these for 2 years now, so this review is after extensive wear. The good: Extremely comfortable, like a pair of slippers or moccasins. The style looks good with both jeans and "dressy casual." I have gotten lots of compliments on these. The Bad: If your feet run hot, these will become really smelly. I am about to get rid of them because I've worn through the rubber in the heel. This isn't surprising since I've worn them a ton; but, given the unique styling of the sole, I don't think re-soling them would work. They have virtually no arch support, and wear like a pair of moccasins. If you have arch issues, steer clear of these.

I was excited to get these shows in the mail but was actually quite disappointed once I tried them on.
They definitely ran large. I wear a solid 15 and there was way too much extra room inside the shoe. They also felt wider than normal but that may have been a result of feeling too large. The biggest shock was how uncomfortable they felt. The reviews on here lead me to believe they would be like walking on a cloud but instead it felt like I was walking barefoot on a plank of wood. Granted, they were new and not broken in but I am skeptical.
For this price I chose to return them immediately and will try again with another shoe or brand.

These shoes are very comfortable, although my feet get sweaty with the wool lining. Can't say these are the best looking, frankly, but the dark brown is versatile and you can pass them off in a casual office environment. I will say that they are meant for ducks - they are just ridiculously wide! - so my narrow feet float around in them a bit. Overall, I'd recommend, however.

Good looking shoe. Comfortable. Problem is the 'honeycomb' sole wears quickly. Resoling is a lot if they even have it in stock.

These shoes feel great and look great! BIG PROBLEM: they squeak on hardwood floors, on laminate floors, and on vinyl floors. I have to return them and I wish I didn't!

I bought these shoe a while back, and while I loved them, the soles are junk. The shoe has a plastic plate glued on to the top of the sole (under the insert) for support. The back edge of the plate rubs against the sole every time you take a step. Eventually the plate will cut a hole in the sole, and in comes the water, dirt, gravel, or what have you. Even though my soles are a little worn, the rest of the sole has held up great. In my opinion this is a design flaw, and if it weren't for the plate cutting through the sole, I would still be wearing these shoes. For this price I expect more out of a pair of shoes. I like Patagonias, but I will avoid any of their shoes that have this sole.
