I bought two pairs of Merrell, the Dassie, which I reviewed, and this pair. Love them both. Both are being used for work and play. These are slightly tighter in fit. Looks great with scrubs and with boot leg jeans. Very comfortable. A little effort to get into them (due to the structure of the shoe), however, once in, fabulous feel.

I have been wearing shoes to walk to work in the city from the train station to work back and forth. They have the best of shoes to walk in that are more stylish than athletic shoes. I am on my fourth pair by now and I will continue to wear them and order more when needed. The price is not too bad being that these are supportive and comfortable.

This is the second time I bought this same shoe - I was so happy to see they still made the same model. My shoes always seem to hurt somewhere but this shoe feels like a dream; no break-in time; looks good for work or casual. Just love them! Well worth the money for the comfort!

Perfect fit and super comfortable! I feel like I can run in these shoes. Great arch support - and even looks great.

The best shoe for long work hours. They are comfortable from the first slip-on, can go all day in them, and look nice with work clothes. No need to break in, or get used to. They are my favorites shoes in the closet now and I have my share of black shoes, believe me!

Great shoes for work. I walk 1.5 miles from train station to work. These shoes are comfortable, sturdy & look fairly decent. I live in an area where it gets really cold but I can't work in hiking boots. These were a good compromise as I don't want to carry an extra pair of shoes. The shoe is a slip on so if you have a high instep you may not be able to get your foot in w/o a shoe horn or lots of wiggling.

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes. It is a comfortable and durable walking shoe that looks good with pants.

A great shoe, I've bought a pair every year for the past 5 years. I wear them all the time. They are very comfortable and look nice under slacks. I travel to Europe yearly and do a lot of walking so need something that I can wear that look professional and are also comfortable; I can go all day in these and never have any back issues. I love them.

I just bought my second pair of these shoes. They are comfortable and look great with jeans or black pants. They are a great travel shoe, look professional that sneakers and I can walk for miles in them. They are fairly tight when new and I had to use a shoe horn to get them on, but once on, they fit like a glove. Even after they are broken in, I am still using a shoe horn, which is the only downside of a great shoe. I'd definitely buy again because the comfort is incredible!

I absolutely love the Merrell Spire just the way it is! I hesitated to buy them because of the cost, but was happy to have worn them for five years of extensive wear! Have not been able to find another casual loafer that even comes close to the comfort or style of this one! I have also had trouble finding the Spire again, so thank you, thank you, thank you, Zappos, for having these available!

I have ordered (and worn) these shoes in the past. I am very disappointed that the heel in this pair is very loose. They flop when taking steps.

I love this shoe. This is the third year I have bought this pair. I wear them every day from fall to the end of spring. At work I'm even able to go for a 40 min walk and my feet do not hurt. They are so comfortable I even wear them at home all day. I have flat feet and all my shoes need arch support and Merrell has done it with this style. I wish Merrell would make this style in brown and navy!

These shoes fit perfectly right from the beginning. I wear a B width shoe and these fit the bill. The arch support is great and I feel I can walk with these shoes all day without any discomfort at all. I'm so thrilled about the look and feel of this shoe that I'm looking to buy another or similar pair in a different color.

This will be my third pair of these shoes. They last under heavy wear and are extremely comfortable. They are stylish. I can wear them all day and into the evening and my feet never hurt. I hopeMerrell continues to make these shoes.

I bought this shoe for work. Very tight across the top of the foot (the instep). I have to use a shoe horn to get them on, but once they are on, they feel as light as sneakers, and there is plenty of wiggle room for the toes. I would have ordered a wider size, but there was no option for that. So comfortable to wear, just tight across the top...I imagine over time they will stretch out.

I really have come to love this shoe for its comfort, elegance and versatility - it dresses up and down. I have ordered another pair, after (thanks to Zappos great return policy) trying all the sleek black loafer style shoes that comfort brands make (and some much higher priced brands, too) None hit all three criteria like these Merrells. More comfortable and springy than sneakers, I can walk all day. Super comfortable, understated and elegant enough for formal meetings. I do find that they run a bit narrow, and order a half size larger than my usual 7.5.

I've bought this shoe three times now! The first pair lasted me a year of wearing them to work every day. The second time I bought two pairs to alternate every day. I do not use the insert that comes with them. I went to a Merrell store and got the Ortholite inserts. Great shoe especially if you have narrow feet! These are the only shoes that do not slide on my heel.

Merrell Spire Stretch are the most comfortable shoes that I've owned. I am on my feet for 12-14 hours when I work and my feet never hurt when I have on these shoes. They fit true to size and the stretchy material around the ankle makes the shoe very comfortable and holds my feet exactly where they need to be and is comfortable on my ankle (which is low and hurts with most rigid shoes). It seems that Merrell has discontinued these Merrell Spire Stretch and that my size is no longer available. I sure hope that they re-consider and begin manufacturing this style again.

I am a teacher, and I have to have arch support to make the day on my feet. This shoe is comfortable and very supportive. It enables me to teach comfortably all day without pain. My first pair held up to frequent use for two years, and I liked them so much I just ordered a replacement pair.

Love everything about the shoe. I cannot wear heels due to surgeries on my feet, this was the best professional looking and extremely comfortable shoe that I could find. I can put my orthotics in (I wear 8.5 but go up to a 9 so that they fit and I can wear with socks). I can wear these all day long, stand all all day long and walk all day long. This model was taken off of a old style boot Merrell had (spire peak) those boots lasted me 7 grt winters in Colorado, I have not thrown them away yet, Just polish them often and they will last a long time. I tried several top brands and Merrells are still my best choice. I love this brand and have been loving it since 2002. Zappos is my #1 place for shoes, their service is out of this world!

This is the MOST comfortable shoe I have EVER owned. Recently purchased my 3rd pair as mine were beginning to look shabby. I walk 2-5 miles each day - my feet are never tired in these shoes.

Hallelujah! After getting about 20 pairs of shoes from Zappos and not having any of them fit my size 10-11, thin but not super narrow feet, I found a fit with these. Note: I also tried the jungle moc in both 10.5 and 11 and both were too short and too wide, but this shoe, which is built longer and narrower, works really well with an extra arch support (Birkenstock's amazing blue arch support).

I love these shoes. I have a narrow heel and often shoes will fit in the toe box but are too big in the heel. These shoes have a roomy toe box and the stretch fabric around the top of the shoe and around the heel keep it in place. I usually wear a narrow but ordered an 8.5 B and added a thin squishy insert under the shoe bed. They are stylish and so comfortable with just the right size heel to wear with everything. Merrells don't usually come in half sizes, but Zappos had them in half sizes. Thanks!

These are great shoes. My feet do not hurt when I wear these. The bad remarks about it being too narrow, they must have to wear wide shoes. They last a long time and the fit is wonderful. These are the perfect shoe to wear to work all day. Can't say enough good about these. I am wearing my 2nd pair. Love them!

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. I am on my second pair. I think they look as good as Pradas similar styled. Please, Merrell, never stop making these shoes!
